So tell me why my work truck has been here since 8/14/2025 barely got it back today 8/29/2025 and I asked for a multi point inspection check brakes, tires, belts, hoses and whatever the reading was on the check engine light on. If I could give negative stars I would this place is a joke. I had a hole in my radiator and water pump those were 2 of the no brainers. When we dropped of the car we told them the AC was not getting cold and the heater was being weird and the dual climates did not match temps when set the same also the dash had a loud humming noise. After a week and a very expensive car rental later we picked it up and they said heater was fine. I drove the car home and the next day it was happening again. So we took it in again and had to get another EXPENSIVE car rental yet again.. We also reiterated that to see what's going on they need to drive it. So after another week in the shop they said all they found was a code and they recalibrated it. Also said they didn't have any issues with the heating or cooling. (Apparently 30 degrees difference is acceptable so if you put it on 60 it's fine if it's blowing 90 on your AC in the middle of the Summer time.) We even asked if they drove it!! They said yes which I highly doubt. So when we picked it up and took it home it was fine. Then when I got in it again it was back to blowing cold on heat and warm on cold and the dual climates were not blowing the same temperatures when set to match and still making a humming noise. So my husband was not wanting to call again for the third time so I called and spoke with AJ whom we have dealt with this entire time. I told him how frustrated I was and that I did not want to have it in there more than a day again. And that we shouldn't have to pay for diagnostics again. And how we had already spent a lot on rentals. He said they would wave the diagnostic fee but he needed to talk with his manger. Well guess what that call never came. So I called the GM customer care center to file a Case to help resolve the issue. But they failed also after all was said and done I was told they had done everything fine. So I went to Chat GPT and asked for a recommendation for a good auto repair shop. That took me to The Auto Shop and I took it in for yet another diagnosis and they had it a few hours and they called and said they found everything in range and no noise. So I asked them to drive it on the freeway. When they called me back they said my Freon was almost gone I had maybe a 1/4 left. Well that makes sense if it's warm check the frion that is like one of the first things that Chevrolet would or should have checked. So now they are going to test the AC for a leak since it's obviously leaking. BIG failure here for Chevrolet Auto department. They should be ashamed that they are incompetent in their work. After 2 car rentals the initial co pay for the first appointment and the the cost for the second appointment and then the diagnostic and filling of frion with dye we are looking close to 1800 out of our pocket for a leak they didn't check for. If I was a mechanic and had a customer come in for an HVAC issue my check list would include checking the frion level that is like a no brainer. So Giant Chevrolet Auto Department had my car a total of 2 weeks and they failed. The Auto Shop had it like 4 hours and had it pinpointed. finally a competent shop and mechanics. My vehicle is a 2021 Chevy Suburban just to clarify all Chevy knows how to do is plug in for a diagnostic report no real brain work required. read more

Let me start by saying that the service advisor, Cassidy, was great and had no issues there. My problem began when my truck cover was stolen from their "secured lot". Apparently, their camera system wasn't working at the time. I picked up my truck on Friday and immediately noticed the cover was missing. I called the next day (Saturday) and was told to call back Monday. No problem. I called Monday, and they said they'd need to speak with management and ownership and again, no problem. I was told to expect a call in two or three days. Friday came... no call. I followed up myself and finally got a response. When I did, the service manager basically told me I was out of luck and suggested I file a claim through my insurance, even though the truck was in their possession on their lot. They compared it to parking at Walmart or in front of my house. That makes no sense. Walmart is public property; their back lot isn't. And my truck has sat in my driveway for years without anything being stolen. The service manager's attitude was completely unprofessional. He literally told me to "do what I gotta do" and to "sue" if I wanted. That's not how you treat a loyal customer who has purchased and serviced vehicles with you for years. Extremely disappointing experience. They clearly don't value their customers or take responsibility for protecting vehicles in their care. I won't be returning and I recommend others think twice before trusting Giant Chevrolet with their vehicle. Do better, Giant Chevrolet. read more

Ok, I know that car lots usually have bad reputations but our experience at Giant was absolutely a dream. We found ourselves in a position where we needed a car ASAP on a random Wednesday so we made the rounds of several lots in Visalia. I had previously purchased several cars from a Carmax lot so we started there--you can see my review from that experience on here. We had a pre-approval letter from our credit union and the first four or five lost we stopped at we were given the typical treatment: met in the lot by the salesmen who asked what we were looking for, we were shown a few cars--none of which we liked for various reasons--none of them the responsibility off the salesmen/women but the strange thing was how easily we were brushed off. We asked about possible cars in inventory since the salesmen told us that they had nothing on the lot but some were "arriving" in the vague future. Now, I get it that this happens--supply chain issues--whatever. But just as we were about to give up and head to Fresno, we stopped at Giant. We pulled up and an older gentleman met us on the lot and asked what we were looking for. We told him and he walked us to the perfect car. We asked if we could test drive it and we did--it was everything we wanted. Great! But the thing that made the whole experience worth writing this long review was the salesman: Joaon. He was amazing: friendly, kind, not pushy at all. He is the car-whisperer--he knew the answers to our questions, was very knowledgeable about cars, the car business, people....he made the whole thing incredible AND he got us a rate that was a full point below my credit union. I've brought my Cadillac Escalade to Giant Chevrolet Cadillac four times for a seat that wouldn't recline or move forward, and the issue is still not resolved. I was charged $2,200 for a seat base, only to be told afterward that the recline still didn't work and another $800 part was needed. When I declined and asked for the seat to be reassembled, I arrived to pick up my vehicle and found the seat still taken apart. The service advisor was unprofessional, and the pricing was inconsistent. The service manager later quoted $350 for a part I was previously told cost $800. Now, after all this, I'm being told yet another part is needed. This feels like guesswork at the customer's expense. For a Cadillac dealership, the lack of competence and professionalism is shocking. They had a replacement transmission there and the tech wanted to install it, management changed their mind and made we wait for parts. Made their problems my problems. Unfortunately, we made an online appointment to get an oil change done at 12pm. When we came in around 10:40 to see if they can get us in earlier than 12pm, Isaiah who works in the front desk, was not helpful and very dismissive towards us. As we understand appointment times are important, he failed to inform us that all the mechanics will not be able to get us in at that time because it was the lunch hour. Javier who was very nice and welcoming informed us of that when we came back for the 2nd time. Now we are having to wait 2+ hours for an oil change when we simply could have reschedule for a later time. We typically get really good service and friendly faces but unfortunately not everyone is cut out for a customer service job. Javier was wonderful! I would say that Isaiah needs more training. At least to inform customers of basic information and not just to get rid of them. read more

We brought our truck in for a cracked light on the mirror we got it back after a day and the mechanic put all the controls on inverted, so we bring our truck down another day at 7am and they call us at 5:30pm it's fixed, we try to extend the tow mirrors 2 day later the mirror they worked on doesn't want to extend, so we call bring it in and it sits for a full day and they tell us they couldn't get to it so we wait for them to work on it the next day just for them to tell us theirs no possible way they could have broke it so 4 days wasted and the manager TOM whom we waited to talk with a different day was useless telling us we could purchase a new mirror for 1400 after we had already spent 2000 originally so now we wasted days of our time for our horrible work and service and Cassidy who lied to us on multiple occasions telling us the work would get done that never did. Moral of the story they just want your money which I get but if their gunna charge double the price of everyone else I expect quality service not to come out with more problems then I started with! You would think they would have common sense and bite the bullet and say it's suspicious the only broken mirror is the one we worked on but obviously not. We will never return you could get better work from jiffy lube! Can I leave zero stars?? I called up Giant Chevrolet to inquire about a 2024 Traverse that GM listed as "in transit" to the dealership. I spoke to salesman Brad Miller and asked if the vehicle was available for purchase. He assured me it was. I asked him if he was sure. He said "100%". I explained to him that other dealerships had told me they had available vehicles only to later find out from their sales manager that it's a pre-sold unit. Again, he assured me it wasn't sold. I then requested that he consult with the sales manager to confirm availability. He called me back a little later and told me he had spoken to "everyone including the sales manager" and the vehicle was available. I asked him if I could make a deposit on the vehicle and he said, "yes, but only after we run your credit to pre-qualify you". I assured him my credit was rock solid (well over 800). He insisted. Since this was the exact vehicle I was looking for, I conceded and had him email me the credit app. My wife and I filled out the application and sent it back to him. A while later he confirmed that our credit was worthy and emailed me the $1000 deposit request. I sent it back a few minutes later and I texted him that it was done. ELEVEN MINUTES LATER Brad called me to tell me that he just found out the vehicle isn't available for sale and had been promised to another dealership. I asked to speak to the general manager or the owner. He said they'd have to call me Monday (this was Saturday). He said they would immediately refund my $1000 deposit. A little later I got a call for Tianna (sp?). She said she'd need the last 4 digits of my credit card, billing address, zip, etc., which I gave her. She read back everything and she had the last 4 digits of the card wrong. I corrected her and she repeated it wrong again. I corrected her again. She read it back correctly on the third try. She said she'd process it and email me a receipt "right away". Sunday afternoon I still hadn't received an email, so I called Tianna to check what was happening. She said, "Oh, Brad didn't call you? He was supposed to call you yesterday to tell you that we're having trouble and have to wait for the original charge to post before we can process the refund." I hung up and waited for Monday. Monday I received a call from Patty in finance. She said they were still having trouble and requested my full card number for verification. When I read her the full card number, she said, "that's why we are having a problem. Tianna had the last four digits wrong". Wow. Patty asked for all of the information all over again. I gave it to her and she read it back. Nope. She wrote down the number wrong again. I corrected her. She wrote it down wrong again. Just like Tiana, it took three tries for her to write down a number without mixing them up. Is there something in the water there??? She finally got everything correct and I received my refund. My credit score dropped because of the unnecessary inquiry. I have no vehicle. It's been five days and neither the general manager nor the owner have reached out to me. I am considering legal action. DO NOT EVER CONSIDER BUYING ANYTHING FROM GIANT CHEVROLET. read more

Luckily we came with a second vehicle and drove home to wait until the car was ready. It's 4:15pm. 4:15 pm. And we hadn't heard from the dealership. Decided to drive here because by this time they should have been done. They rudely tell us it's not ready and to wait in the waiting room. And then the gentleman approaches saying "they're backed up because someone called in". That they... haven't even started on the service? It's 4:15 with an appt and they haven't even started the service. $130 for this poor service. It's mind blowing. A simple heads up would've been super courteous. I was up front with him that I was comparing vehicles at other dealers. This made things easy for me as I knew what I wanted and what I was willing to pay. I have bought many cars throughout my life. I am writing this review because of the subpar customer service I am experiencing with Giant. On July 13, 2021, my truck broke down on the side of Highway 198 with transmission issues. On July 14, I was able to have it towed to Giant. Giant had replaced the transmission three years ago due to the original transmission going out. Since then, less than 40,000 miles have been put on the new transmission and I am already facing significant issues. The transmission was installed on June 22, 2018, putting the warranty three weeks passed the expiration date. Giant has never initiated conversations with me regarding the status of my vehicle. Javier, the gentleman who has been assisting me along the way, has given me loose timelines that are never completed on time. I have to call Giant or physically go to the dealership to ask questions, and even then, I am still not given a straight answer. It seems like the next steps are not taken until I make a presence. Javier informed me on September 3 that all parts were at the dealership and that I would have the truck back no later than September 8. On September 7, I received a phone call from him stating certain parts were defective and that we were again waiting on parts and this process to be complete, with no deadline provided. At no point did Giant offer to provide me with any supplemental transportation during this now more than eight-week process. When I requested a vehicle to borrow from Giant, Javier denied the request. On September 18, I was finally able to get my truck back and take it home. I started it up today and have a new, loud, rattling sound since picking up the truck yesterday. There is also a cleaner or some liquid that dripped down the front and was not cleaned. For a dealership that boasts great ratings and superior service, Giant has not delivered upon these claims. This incident will be my last experience with Giant Chevrolet. I would rather take my vehicle somewhere that values and respects their customers. read more

Great people great customer service didn't get charged for a diagnostic charge which I appreciate, but however, didn't like the fact how I drop my car off at 7 AM in the morning around 2 PM. My car wasn't even looked at at all. It was just sitting there just two hours later saying nothing wrong with my car I know for a fact there's something is I say great people and customer service but I feel like the mechanics need some more training and more work with the diagnostic or the problem is they too much cars? This review pertains exclusively to the Service department. I own a beautiful red Cadillac XTS. I love this car. It's gorgeous, comfortable, and a dream to drive - when it's transmission is working properly. Still under warranty, I recently made an appointment with the service department when the car started downshifting hard into first gear when slowing to a stop. After leaving my car and a week of poor communication and broken promises my car was finally completed. All was fine for about a month. The transmission began "stuttering" while changing gears. I was due for an oil change so I scheduled that at the same time as the transmission check. Upon arrival I was told that the "transmission " guy was on vacation but they would drive it and check it out. I thought it odd they wouldn't have waited until after his vacation to schedule the visit but apparently the test drive was enough to verify that it was a transmission issue and made me an appointment for the following week. I went to pick up my car and after paying the bill was told that they would bring my car around. I was left standing waiting for a pretty long time when I noticed the staff member who was supposedly was retrieving my car was now checking in vehicles for service. I looked for the cashier without any luck. When I finally found her I asked for the key saying I would just walk over to where it was parked so I could leave, as I had an appointment to keep. This is when she admitted that they could not find the key! I am not exaggerating when I say it took an hour to locate it. It certainly didn't seem to even be a priority until my husband became visibly angry. This morning's appointment was just as frustrating. I arrive at the time agreed upon, 7:30 AM. Imagine my surprise when told that they simply said they will not be able to get to my car. No big deal. Even though You made arrangements for a ride home, schedule doctor's appointments for yourself and your 90 year old mother accordingly so that you can get by for the next few days without your vehicle, drive through ridiculous thick fog to arrive on time and then are told, "We can't get to you, today." I understand being short staffed, or backed up because someone was on vacation, but it was the service department after all who made this appointment. To be blasé about cancelling out an appointment that your staff made without realizing it's a hardship for customers is pretty darned rude. Yet another appointment was made for the following week, and that is when I decided to get involved. I worked in customer service for two decades and I know a little bit about the proper way to retain customers. I would simply go in and speak to the manager and find out why we were given an appointment they should have realized wouldn't work. I waited patiently for the manager and asked why this had happened. What I heard was "we have several jobs", "two people called in sick", but what I didn't really hear was a sincere apology for the mistake and assurance that this would not happen again. When I explained my particular situation pertaining to medical appointments and how difficult it is to be without a vehicle I felt it fell upon deaf ears. When I asked if the new appointment I had been given was the soonest it could be done, she looked it up on the computer. It was then she exclaimed that the following week was impossible- and that they would never be able to get to it that day as the work load was too much already. I just might have rolled my eyes at this point. Another scheduling blunder. I would have made arrangements again and what? Arrive bright and early once again to be told "We just can't get to you, today." My biggest complaint about the service department aside the obvious breakdown of communication is that there is a lack of respect to the customer. The entire ordeal was laced with a subtle undercurrent of hostility, as though I, was the problem. I would have felt a lot better had there been a even a vague sense that I mattered. I obviously did not. In conclusion, my Cadillac rocks - this service department does not! read more

Communication was poor. Part that was needed was on back order after they told us they would get it in within a week. It was 40 days and nothing was done because part wasn't found. We found the part within 10 minutes of phone calls. Picked it up and was done within 2 days at a different mechanic shop. 350 dollar diagnosis and nothing else done. Wasn't happy. They offered us a 10% discount if we would bring them the part and they fix it themselves. Super generous lol read more
