I brought my 2019CT Hybrid in for regular maintenance as I usually do instead of doing myself as I found people try to do foolishly to attempt to save money. The dealership gave me a loaner car for free, a Nissan, which was a good car to use to go to the airport and back. They cleaned my car inside and out for free, gave me a new battery, which I did not know I needed, and finally agreed to replace my four tires. I knew they were needing to be replaced; I had to pay for them; they gave me a good price. They allowed me to keep the car a couple extra days as the airline bumped me against my will. Visalia Toyota was wonderful in helping us get a very difficult car to acquire. Antonio, the sales manager went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience and helped guide us to getting exactly what we needed, a very hard to find 2025 Grand Highlander Hybrid Max Platinum, which we could not order through Toyota and there were only 45 left in the US being built and/or being shipped at that time four weeks ago. (Trying to get a new Grand Highlander was a horrible experience in Las Vegas, Nevada where I live.) He then put me into contact with Julie Youngs, a saleswoman there and she was fantastic in every way. Communication was 100%. Hospitality was 100%. Kindness and good character were 100%. It was worth flying ourselves to Fresno and then a one hour Uber down to Visalia. Visalia Toyota did not add a markup on it as some were doing in Las Vegas. It was all detailed and full of gas. They even recommended a couple of good restaurants, which we chose one, and we're happy with. And we had a nice 6 hour drive home in our very nice new car. I took my RAV4 in for an oil change with an 11:00 a.m. appointment. It took over 30 minutes just to check me in. After being told by Omar that my car was ready, I paid and left. About a mile down Ben Maddox, my vehicle began blowing large amounts of white smoke from both the hood and the exhaust, with a strong burning smell. When I tried to accelerate, the car wouldn't take off and instead started jerking. I immediately turned around and brought it back. After inspecting it, they informed me that their "certified technicians" had overfilled my car with oil--nearly twice the amount it requires. This was a very unsafe and frustrating experience. I would not recommend this dealership at all. read more

Unfortunately, this isn't my first negative experience here. Charles at the front desk was rude and condescending when discussing Toyota Care services and mileage requirements. Instead of providing helpful information, his tone comes across as dismissive and unprofessional. It's frustrating to deal with that kind of attitude, especially when you're just trying to maintain your vehicle properly. I had an appointment at 8:30am. I left with my car at 10:05am. They did nothing to my car on a routine Toyota care check-up. Hands down the worst location in the Central Valley. It's really unfortunate that Visalia only has one Toyota service center, because customers deserve better service and respect for their time and loyalty. read more

I have to say sadly this last visit which was done yesterday was quite disappointing. I know when you make an appointment there it's gonna be a wait for a while. I get how it works. But... I was called at 420 and told your vehicle is about done if you want to head over in 15-20 mins. I know I didn't do any extra services other than my oil change and maybe that is why I got the end results but service is service and that's why I take it to Toyota. I got back to Toyota at 440 and we sat till 530pm. Nothing. No vehicle just yeah. I went into the service office to ask how much longer? Because my appt at 330pm but didn't get pulled in till 4pm. So it had been 2 hours. Either way a service advisor not the one attending me said let me go check it should be ready. Turns out my car was done brought up by someone short because the seat was all the way up steering wheel and shifter dirty. But the part that got me was my maintenance light still on it wasn't cleared. And my tire pressure light also still on and flashing. Reading about it and it states that it's the tire sensor. They gave me no documents on what was done or needed that they usually give. I was told it be emailed to me here we are the following day and nothing. I understand I declined a brake job, but doesn't mean I have to get bad service. This service facility manager did me a solid last time and very grateful for that till this day but it sure was disappointing to experience this. It was little things but such basic customer service that makes me comment about it. My dad was a mechanic for many years so he thought me a lot about that and how as a woman I should watch out so I learned a lot about cars because of this and so I don't yes to everything they tell me because I have a trusted mechanic. It just amazing how they made me feel bad about not getting any extra service. Just something the service advisor should take in consideration not everyone is gonna buy extra services you ought to treat them all the same. read more
