    Disappointed in my experience with this dealership & Joey Perez (sales person). I reached through their website the day prior, after finding the car we had been looking for online. The following morning (9am) I reached out over the phone to ask if it was available and what I could do to secure the car over the phone (because I'm 3 hours away). It was still available and as instructed, we went through the application process, exchanged our personal data as requested, and confirmed (at 12:45) that we had financing approval with the understanding that we would come in the following day. Our exchanges went on all the way until 1:45pm. At 3pm, Joey called me and said the car had been sold. How could it have sold when I had already submitted everything Joey said we needed to confirm financing approval and hold it? To have us apply and go through the entire process only to allow the car to be bought by someone who came in after me? This is poor business and characteristics of a company that will never expand if out of town, city, or state customers aren't valued and respected.

    WANNA BUY A LEMON? You found the right place! End of October 2020, we bought a very clean "looking" used, 2012 Ford Lariat, F350 6.7 Turbo Diesel, Crew Cab, Long bed from Stone Chevrolet. It only had 89k miles on it and two previous owners. What a deal!! The first owner kept very detailed records. The second, not so much. Carfax reported nothing, as to be expected! So, I traded in my great running 2010, F150 and away we go to get our 40ft 5th wheel! Friday, 3/4/21, All seems well, until my first long road trip to LA from the Bay Area. I hit slow traffic in the LA area and the truck starts running rough. Stay the night wake up and it's still running rough and check engine (Codes P0F4/P127A) light comes on! I luckily find a diesel mechanic in Orange, Ca who can get me in! They replace the #7 injector for $899! NOT EVEN 1000 miles after buying the truck. Advise us to watch the High Pressure fuel pump! Driving home 3/6/21, all seems well....until all the white smoke and engine reduced power! Still under 1000 miles on the truck since bought! Towed to Livermore Ford, (out of pocket $600 dollars) who says the High pressure fuel pump is blown! $17k estimate! WTF!!! Thanks Stone Chevy!!! Call Stone Chevy who says they want to "Make it right!" Wrong!! They recommend Will Tiesiera Ford in Tulare (Next 1 star review!), who they have a "Great relationship with!" So be it! Triple AAA to Tulare! Will Tiesiera gets the truck for two weeks, says it's the #1 injector not the High pressure file pump. $2k estimate! Great!! WooHoo!! Seeing that Stone Chevy never really went through the engine and the truck needed a 90k mile service I had ALL fluids changed and all injectors flushed...so they said! Damage cost $4800 Pick up the truck and 100 miles down the road, Check Engine light....again! It's Friday and the dealer is closed and I live 212 miles away. I'm able to diagnose the code and it's a manufacturer code with no info. Living close to San Leandro, you would think Will Tiesiera would pay to have the code read or cleared by San Leandro Ford, but nope! By the way the truck is running fine and service manager David R. "Says get it back to us when you can!" Now it's June 2021, truck seems to be still running well. Small local trips and only one trip prior, pulling the trailer. So we head down the coast for my birthday with No issues. Head east and hit LA traffic again. Truck starts acting up and again "CHECK ENGINE LIGHT!" so we cancel our Grand Canyon plans and stay in Desert Hot Springs for a few days. Truck seems to have slept on it and runs fine the next few days and the check engine light goes out. 6/28/21, heading home. We head west and over the grapevine and stop for gas at the bottom of the hill . A few miles later, BOOM! Knock, knock, knock!! Trucks dead in Bakersfield!! It's 111 degrees at 3:30 pm, and stuck on I5 north! Barely 4500 miles on the truck since bought in Oct 2020! Towed again to Will Tiesiera, who estimated $20k worth of engine damage!! Not including the two previous injectors!!! Thanks STONE CHEVROLET FOR SELLING ME A LEMON!! By the way, your guy Greg L. told me "it's not your problem, I should've bought the extended warranty!" Great service!!! He also said, "The truck was great when you drove away!" Funny.....will Tiesiera said the same thing!! Should've not trusted you guys! You put the lipstick on the pig and I bought it!! Hope this review helps the next person, so they're not a sucker like me!! It's 7/14/21 and the truck is still not fixed and stuck in Tulare!! Can't make it up!! BBB report is being filed regarding both locations.

    I wanted to give a late shoutout to Joey and the finance gentleman I worked with. I had one heck of a drive to get my Corvette last month, but the two gents I worked with made it a simple process. I appreciate you guys as well as the heck of a deal on my warranty. Thanks guys! It was worth the drive as well as the scenery on the drive back to So Cal. Tulare definitely looks like my kind of city.

    I ended up at Merle Stone after extensively shopping all around CA for a new truck as a surprise gift for my dad and they had exactly what I was looking for. It was also convenient that it was local to my hometown and nostalgic that it was the place my dad bought his last truck over 20 years at! I worked with Carlos Oliva on their sales team who was extremely helpful, responsive and patient. I was told he was newer on the team, but his willingness to help and customer service was exceptional and glad I could make the deal through him. I was able to get a price that I was happy with, which beat quotes I had from other dealerships and included an extended warranty and Dupont protection. Their finance process was quick and painless (unlike my BMW) where I wasn't bombarded with more things to buy and pay for. Everyone there was extremely friendly and helpful to the point that I even wanted a truck for myself! Shopping for a car isn't an every day thing and it requires a lot of research, patience and knowing exactly what you want, but Carlos and the Merle Stone team worked with me and I was able to take a 2018 Silverado Z71 LTZ Crew Cab home! There was obviously some negotiation involved, but it never hurts to ask!

    Very frustrating experience trying to purchase a used F-150 from Will Tiesiera Ford…read more The truck had a known radio/audio system issue, and I was told multiple times over about a week that someone would call me with updates and explain what needed to happen next. That did not happen. I had to keep calling them myself just to get basic information. I later spoke with Chris in sales, who was rude and told me they still could not figure out the issue. I was also told there would be no discount, even though the audio system was not working. After that, I was told by the GM directly that the deal we had discussed at about $31,600 out the door was now void, and the new price was around $34,000. His reason was that I "lagged" and did not jump on the deal, even though I was never clearly told the truck had been fixed. The whole reason I was waiting was because the truck had a known issue and I was waiting on the dealership to follow through. They wanted me to come in person to talk about the deal, but at that point it felt like I would have to go in and beg them to honor a number that had already been discussed, after their own lack of communication caused the delay. The lack of communication, poor follow-through, rude sales experience, and then raising the price after the issue was supposedly resolved made this one of the most frustrating dealership experiences I have had. I would not recommend shopping here.
