Admittedly I only shop at this location when I am in a pinch. Location is perfect, within walking distance of my home but convenience isn't always the priority at Giant Eagle of Fairview Park. This location seems to be a last priority in the franchise, old fixtures, spotty produce with the lack of a seafood counter, just last weeks prepackaged fish and shrimp, forever freezer burned. The bakery is partially full but the hours aren't conducive to when the store is open. If you get there at 6:00 pm and the store doesn't close for another 3-4 hours, no case cakes for you. The staff is welcoming but they cannot control the process of what management has in store. read more

the pharmacy at giant eagle in fairview park has had consistent, kind, personal, and professional service for the past several years. both pharmacist's are so nice and easy to talk to and they know their clients. those working the drop off and pick up counter are reflective of the pharmacist's and great at their jobs. selena is one that has been there for years and is always a joy to see. we changed from cvs to giant eagle several years ago and are glad we did. you also get fuel perks for get-go which is nearby. read more

I've gotten so many rotten (or in a VERY short time frame) fruits and vegetables that are clearly not monitored as often or closely as they should be. Seems like every time I'm there shopping , there are 1 or 2 more products (that I've purchased for years) that are "out of stock" or worse yet they've decided to eliminate or replace with lower quality " Giant Eagle brand" products. They recently stopped baking bread in store, which is an important reason thst I started shopping there in the first place, just like Mark's, I might as well shop at Mark's, its cheaper. At least there is lots of parking, unlike Mark's, which is always crowded, especially handicapped parking places. This is a larger version of your corner store, without the friendly service. Never have enough cashiers. You WILL pack your own groceries. The aisles are small; made worse by rude employees who give you dirty looks if you dare need to get through. They have this obnoxious tile throughout most of the store. Your cart will buck like a horse in a rodeo. AND, this tile creates a noise level that rivals a Metallica concert. I'd sooner starve to death than shop here ever again. read more

This store has the uncanny ability to be out of what I am looking for. There might be an item on sale and the shelves are completely full, except, except the item that is on sale. Where the on sale item is supposed to be, the shelf is completely empty. Also, I like to get baked chicken in their prepared foods. Again, the entire prepared foods department is full, except the baked chicken is completely empty. I would then move to the salad bar. Everything is full, except the mushrooms I am looking for, there is a spoon and an empty bin. Oh well read more

I ordered a cake for my mom for her birthday. I at least expect the piping to be even. This is a shame of a cake. It looks so terrible I don't even want to eat it. When I was ordering the lady was very rude and I told her what I wanted and she said that's a lot of calories because I wanted something in the middle. Rotten chicken meat. I hate when my stores let me down like this. There is one degree of freshness, first and only one. The rest of the definitions harbor salmonella. You don't have to be a microbiologist to detect decomposing chicken flesh, slimy and stinky, deceivingly marked with an expiration date in 6 days from today. The only consolation - the meat ended up being 99% fat free just like promised because it was never eaten. Another antibiotic-free chicken did not fulfill it's Earthly purpose. read more

Consistently rude management, cashiers, over stocking, crowded, way way to many choices, too much changing of layout. Overall, consistently AWFUL experience. The catcher yell at you about social distancing when you're at least six feet away but yet it's okay to have bunch of people crowded in the aisles and backed up. They have inconsistent guidelines. People who are willing to take the risk to go out the shop are accepting that risk. I don't need to be yelled at. I want to get in and out. It shouldn't take 2 hours to get basics. Not to mention they have the worst prices around. I'm quitting the customer panel. Giant Eagle will not get any more of my money. They need to treat customers with more respect. read more

I couldn't believe that when I went to giant eagle and I went to the the scan pay part that unless you have a giant Eagle card you can't use it. This to me is the dumbest most unprofessional system I have ever encountered. Every other store be it target, Marcs etc, never make you use there card to scan pay. The best way to describe this store is to say it's a typical Giant Eagle. They have pretty much everything you might want. It's not as fancy as the North Olmsted store with their salad bar or a kiddie daycare. It's better than the West Park Giant Eagle in terms of selection and wait time to check out. The plaza is currently getting a facelift so it's also looking nicer on the outside. One note: the Redbox is inside, near the registers. read more

It's Thursday, the "sale" started yesterday. I made a list, cut coupons and came to the store. Of the 14 items on my list..... They were completely out of 8 of the items. 4 of my coupons wouldn't scan. The cashier had me pull each item out, reviewed the coupon and then the item. Called a manager over to over-ride coupon. Everything was fine in the end but it took 3/4 hour to buy 6 things for less than $20. read more

My roommate and I were running errands a few days ago; since I was running low on a few basic groceries, I decided to stop by this Giant Eagle. I got a bit disoriented because I was used to shopping at the Giant Eagle on West 117th Street and I-90, which has a clockwise flow; the counterclockwise flow slowed my shopping a bit. Also, being unfamiliar with this store, I couldn't find the frozen fish - it turns out that the second aisle for frozen food is not noticeable; you will pass by this aisle while you notice the main frozen food aisle on the far side of the store. As far as the adult beverages are concerned, they're scattered here and there at the near side of the store, behind the produce. As far as my shopping experience at this store, it was my first time here; I'll get a better sense of it after the winter holiday season, when the groceries aren't picked over and I'll have time for a proper shopping trip. read more

The children working in the deli do not know how to slice cheese, it's all different thicknesses & than thrown in a bag, not in a neat stack! There is NEVER, AND I MEAN NEVER ANYONE AT THE SEAFOOD OR MEAT COUNTER!!!! I have shopped at this store at least 50 times & have to always look for someone to help me. The people cutting meat just look at you like you're stupid instead of asking if you need help. I was told that the reason this store is in such disarray is that its managers have the most tenure & they are UNTOUCHABLE... I love this store. If I need help finding something there is someone there to help. The lines get long sometimes but it is a smaller store. The place is always clean and never anything in the isles blocking carts from getting down. The fruit is always fresh as well as the produce. The beer and wine selection is great! Always stocked and ready for the weekend. The deli is small but has a nice variety of meats. Their cafe that's in there is always clean and has chicken ready to go. They even carry sushi. The fish and meat department is awesome. There is someone there if you want them to cut meat for you. They also have seasoned all beef patties made in their cooler. The jalapeño ones are great! Their meat selection is nice as well. The 5/$20 is a great way to go for dinners each day. And if there is something you want but not there, ask. They'll bring it out or make one for you. The dairy department is always full and looks great. The staff there is nice too. He will go and grab something if they haven't gotten it out yet. Just ask. The frozen department is stocked. The selection on veggies, meals, ice cream and breakfast is on point. The other isles are always stocked and front and faced. Their sales tag are always up and never mismarked. I also get my prescriptions filled there as well. The ladies that work there are fantastic. They will go over all your meds and tell you when to take it and when not to according to your doctors directions. And they'll even advise you on what to eat if need be before. Their customers service desk is clean and friendly staff ready to help. Money orders are available here. For a small store they really keep up with business. Awful experience! The bags at check out were soaked in bleach.I have no idea why. I didn't buy any bleach. I found out when I noticed that the bags I was using to bag my groceries were wet. I sniffed and it was chlorine bleach. The cashier turned on her light, but didn't offer paper towels for the bleach on my hands or food. The front end head cashier offered no help, she argued with us. She said she was too busy to help. No one cared. The manager finally helped out, but I won't shop there again. read more
