The free-of-charge parking garage located under the supermarket. There were Citizens Bank counters and ATM off the checkout. This store offered all kind of groceries. The wine-and-liquor section offered wide variety of choices. There were many ready-to-eat and ready-to-go items. The pharmacy functioned as expected. Checkout was normal.

Was pleasantly surprised at how big this giant eagle was. Even though it's a market district from the outside, it doesn't look as big as it is in the inside. Can't wait for them to move to their new location.

This store does have a tendency to get busy and be difficult just getting in and getting parked. The store itself is huge and definitely has a wide selection of products. We tend to just stop at this one if we are in the area and need a few things. For this review I am mainly focusing on the beer/wine section. They have a great selection available and offer a ton of local options, which I love to see. The beer cooler has a section just for local craft. I on more then one occasion have found some great beers at a great deal in the mix your own six pack selection. I look every time I am there, even if we aren't planning on getting beer. Recently I have been noticing the beers they have on tap. They don't have a bar at this location, just a small number of tables tucked in the back corner. Also apparently they can only ring up one draft at a time, which is odd. However, they have had a phenomenal tap list lately. We have seen beers that are difficult to find in this area, plus local craft options. The prices are always reasonable as well.

I believe they open at 8am. I know they close at 9:45pm daily.

I had to find these three different types of cheese to make my lasagna from scratch and the guy working at the cheese area was very helpful.

It was recently renovated just in time for the NFL Draft to allow more accessibility and better space for events. In the public area, there are some tables and chairs to sit and enjoy the area. They also seem to plan to have a lot more semi-permenant attractions in the space. Currently their is a roller rink (which is surprisingly affordably priced) . It has historically been home to the Holiday Market (which was moved into the theater area this year because of the construction). I hope the market does move back because Market Square was definitely the better space for it. There is plenty of parking nearby in garages, surface lots and street parking. The one downside is that it is really tough to drive through, especially with the way the renovated it. Drivers seem to be stopping to take in the new look or don't understand directional signage so there is often traffic backups.

The square has a covered area now too, with lots of seating so it can be enjoyed year round. There's so many great restaurants and cafes around the square, and there's expanded outdoor dining at a lot of the restaurants, as well.

Another stop on our Strip District Food Tour! Labad's…read moremimics of gas station convenience store and an ethnic grocery store combined. Shelves are lined with canned goods, fresh ingredients stored in baskets to buy by the pound, and for some reason branded tourist soap bars. For the Food Tour, we were treated to the fresh hummus and pita. The hummus was very fresh - the owner even discussed how he made it over the last evening, but the pita was extremely dry and flavorless. He was clearly a true chef and creates amazing cuisines. So it is very disappointing that the store has to morph into a touristy shop. The hookah and culture items make sense somewhat, but the Harry Potter and Star Wars themed soap bars just seem like a gimmick that takes away from the true essence of the store. If you like hummus, you should definitely grab a container of the fresh made. But honestly, I doubt many people stop here based on the appearance.

I had purchased some elsewhere recently, but felt compelled to stop in to see Labad's selection. The store ambiance is welcoming, and the man who assisted me was kind and calm when he showed me several types of halva. I chose the Lebanon Valley Halawa Plain. As soon as I got home, I tried a small piece. Oh, my gosh!! I couldn't believe how much better it tastes than any other brand I have tried. What a wonderful flavor and texture! Just perfect. I highly recommend Labad's.
