Need to get some snacks and fresh produce for the Fam while on the road. It's kinda fun checking out regional grocery stores to compare what I'm missing back home and vice versa. Eagle's Nest children activity center is interesting. I've never seen a child care facility at a grocery before. I guess an older child would rather kick it with the computer or other fun kiddie activities instead of traveling up and down the aisles. I'm pretty sure my mom would have used this service back in the day, instead of dealing with me hanging off the cart, pulling crap off the shelves that she wasn't gonna buy. The strategically placed chicken pot pie signage got my attention, so I got one, along with some chicken strips. The good dude behind the counter assured me that the strips were good. He was right. The hot food I picked up was derishus. Pot pie was hearty and flavorful. I'm bummed there's no bottom crust lining the pie tin, but the top crust was delightfully light and flaky. Chicken strips were quite good...seasoned coating and moist bird, not overcooked and dry or sitting way too long in the display case. The gal at the checkout register. I don't know what to make of this one. Cranky, bad day, visit from Aunt Flow? I'm not from around these parts, so I don't carry a frequent shopper card. Other places either hook me up with the store discount anyways, or at least give me an opportunity to sign up. Not her. No store savings this time, pal. I wonder which card she pulled...the Pay Full Price card. Boo on her. Despite Ms Meanie on my way out, the rest of the experience wasn't terrible. read more

Waited at the Seafood counter for over 10 minutes before someone came to help me. This is the second time this has happened. Both times there was a GE employee who saw me and didn't ask me for help. Totally ridiculous! Especially since I shop there all the time. read more

The Giant Eagle had only one register open while there were several people with one or two items that had to wait forever to get checked out and the manager said he couldn't open another register so we all had to wait, this was so uncalled for and I will not shop at the Mentor Giant Eagle again! NOT OPEN 24 HOURS. Drove 16 miles to discover this. Big sign on side of building "Open 24 hours" bit really it closes at TEN.

Good location but I mostly drive through the Tyler one now since this one doesn't have drive up. They do have a liquor store though which is fun. Giant Eagle is my grocery of choice and they have a nice get go gas station at this one. Wish produce was fresher last time I checked, but good overall and nice if I want to pick up rotisserie chicken or something for dinner quick. read more

Had a fat troll cashier call two managers to confront me for not having my mask over my nose. Prior to that I asked two managers and a meat person for assistance, none of them said anything about my mask. One of the managers who confronted me was one that I had asked for assistance. I should have just walked out. There are plenty of food stores I can go to, will not return to MOL giant eagle, I have been going there for a least 20 years. read more

hubby went to buy a birthday cake today. The clerk greeted him with "is this going to take long cuz i have to do 'something else'. He just wanted to know which one was chocolate. There were no labels. She looked and said, "I dont know. Sorry." He Had to go to the store on 615. read more

Giant Eagle has dropped the ball on Covid 19 sign up. I've given their pharmacy over a million dollars in the last 17 years since my cancer diagnosis, and I can't get a shot from them.The appointment signup page doesn't even qualify people before they are given a slot. I'll be 69 Sunday, have had 2 transplants, and am forced to wait up to 20 minutes each time I try, only to be told there are no appointments available. I tried to call the store only to be hung up on three times in a row by "Heather." Her name should be Karen. How rude! I was on a drug for 8 years that cost $290,000 a year and am transferring all my scripts to Walgreens, which is a little closer to me. I guess GE thinks a 69 year old is a non - essential human being to them.... read more

One of my favorite stores to go to! Always has what i want and the prices are reasonable. I love their bakery and i always rely on Giant Eagle for birthday cakes and sweets. Giant Eagle also has a lot of fresh food and has a great variety of foods. The store is mostly always clean and i've never had any negative experiences. Also, getting a Giant Eagle Advantage card is a great idea and i always save money by it. As well as the advantage card, i use coupons at Giant Eagle. I wonder if the coupons are personalized or not but sometimes i use all of them at the store! One time i saved $15 on my purchase of groceries with the coupons and my advantage card. This is my local giant eagle and I probably go there about 2 times a week and I just felt the need to come here and thank them for all they do. Every time I go in, even before this all started, they have always been so helpful! They don't give off a single vibe of not wanting to be there. They are always so nice and always ask if I need help finding anything. I can't tell you how many times I've been at self-checkout and I look over and see a team member helping me bag my groceries! They aren't required to do this, especially at the self-checkouts but they always do it and I greatly appreciate that! I know these are some very challenging times and I see cars there at night because employees are there around the clock, making sure we can all walk in there and get what we need and get home. They are working so hard to ensure we are shopping in a clean and sanitized environment and I feel that these people should be praised for all their hard work! They deal with so much and so many rude customers coming in and being greedy and they deserve to be treated so much better! Thank you GE staff for all you do for our community and for helping us keep nourished in these crazy times. You are so very much appreciated and I hope you all get a much deserved vacation after all of this, thank you all!!!!!!!! read more

Prices are higher at this location from others I usually go to and store is not set up to get through easily. Store is clean and usually well stocked and has a wide selection of items. They have a gluten free section and a lot of organic products as well. Love the fuel perks! Got gas for $0.06/gallon last month. read more

Not a bad little place. Clean. Walked around for a while but did not have anyone ask if I needed help, which would of been nice due to the fact I am not from this area (or state). But found what I was looking for. Small beer selection, nice that they did have a walk-in for it. A plus is the State Store within the GE. read more

I don't know about the rest of the store, but the bakery folks were as good as it gets!! I don't know if she is still there, but I was particularly impressed with a girl named Jessica in the bakery. She knew I picked up the same thing everyday and she made sure I was taken care of. It was nice being in a store where people knew what you needed and they made sure it was available and good. I used to go to this Giant Eagle for EVERYTHING. I've had a few experiences over the last year with bad slimy meat from the deli or bad refrigerated mashed potatoes but customer service has always made sure to replace with new product free of charge. This evening I had to get a variety of groceries & it was right before dinner time. I grabbed two 16 oz soup containers & filled the first (Steak & potato) and the second (Tomato basil)...the tomato basil was super low in the large soup bowl but still decided to go with it because of my dietary reetrictions. What was left in the large soup serving bowl was only about half of the 12 oz container. When I checked out I said to the cashier, "I will pay full price but can you see if there is some sort of discount because there wasn't enough to fill the to go container?" She called that dept & even told them that my container was only half full", the response was that because I had filled it up myself it would still be full price. The review is not about the 2 dollars the discount may have been. It's more about the feeling of being ripped off from a place you have spent so much money at over the years. That policy just needs to be reviewed. Unfortunately, this was just the icing on the cake for me with some other reasons I've had bad experience eith this location & I will be taking my business elsewhere.
