I usually steer clear of grocery stores for a number of reason. One of the biggest reasons is that I hate the congestion because of the rush of people that need items. I attempt to stop in at odd times with hopes that I don't feel rushed. That's the one bright spot about this location. It is open 24 hours. The pharmacy refused to fill an antibiotic (moxyfloxicin) eye drops for my wife. She had a full corneal transplant on June 15th 2026 and they claimed that the on-call doctor needed to confirm the dosage. I asked my hospital if the call was placed to the pharmacy and they stated that it was but the pharmacist clearly either DID NOT check the messages or flat out lied to me. They are unprofessional, discourteous, or flat out uncaring. Avoid this pharmacy at all costs!!! read more

I used to shop at the Giant Eagle in North Huntingdon when the store manager was Doug Martin. He was the most arrogant, condescending and patronizing jerk I've ever encountered. Hated by his customers, and employees. I would never spend another copper penny in that store, as long as he was there. Giant Eagle prices are always higher than their competition and I'd go out of my way to avoid that store. Employees seemed not to care a whit about customer needs or complaints with an attitude of dismissal, as if to say if you don't like it here, get the hell out. I hope Giant Eagle fired Martin. Friendly and helpful staff and I have visited 3 Giant Eagle stores in the past few days. The kaiser rolls with sesame seeds were a big hit with the family ! Yasso bars are also a favorite. The organic and other produce are excellent quality. Shopping at this store is a pleasant experience and I got 14 % off my second shopping order. read more

Suggestions to improve Giant Eagle route 30 North Huntingdon: 1. Open the access door near the pharmacy to the public. There are a lot of seniors, who are in poor health, who only want to pick up a prescription yet Giant Eagle makes them walk the entire length of the store from the main entrance. This is cruel to those seniors. 2. clear away the flowers and whatever else is causing the congestion at the store entrance. read more

This Giant Eagle is awesome. The only downfall for me is that it is just so overwhelmingly big, and it is not the closests one to my house, so when I come here I have no clue where anything is! But, this place is great. It is basically as close as you can get to a Market District without having the title. They offer sushi and a huge assortment of cheeses and other specialty foods. It is also so unbelievably clean on the inside. I love this place. I wish the Giant Eagle down the road from me in Harrison City was as nice. My dad and I have many times said we are going to venture the extra 5 minutes just to come here. I even drove out here to get sushi for my mom and I for lunch over this past Christmas break. If you need to go shopping and you are in the area, you should really check this place out. read more

The prepared foods department is horrible and the woman I talked to on the phone last week was down right rude and unprofessional. I had called last Tuesday to see if I could order chicken for the weekend and instead of just politely saying "no I'm so sorry we are fully booked as it's a holiday weekend" she just straight up rudely laughed at the request. I ended up calling East Gate Giant Eagle they were super helpful and had what I needed but I will never again order prepared food from the north huntingdon location. read more

OMG! Probably the greatest Giant Eagle that I have ever been to!!! I'll start with produce, because that's the first thing you see when you walk in. FRESH!!! I get so frustrated looking at crappy produce that I have to pay for! This stuff was all perfect--so much so, that I'm seriously considering making this my "regular Giant Eagle" even though its a good several miles out of my way. This store is HUGE! Much larger than my local GE, and much nicer for it! They have a ton of prepped foods for takeout, not just the salad/antipasta/soup bar. The rest of the star was pristine in terms of being "zoned"/Front & Faced; I was amazing, after having worked in retail for a while, at how clean and organized things were--EVEN the travel size wall was immaculate! This location has the much nicer cosmetics area, as well as a really really inclusive vitamin and herbal/homeopathic section! Lastly, even my cashier was very pleasant and held basic chit-chat as she carefully bagged my items, double bagged the heavy or sharp cornered things and took caution with my carefully picked produce (I'm so used to my normal cashiers just throwing them into the bag and hitting the counter with the force of a 30lb barbell. Composite. I (as does about everyone) shops Giant Eage for many day to day items. Their being in the neighborhood makes it an easy choice. Great layout, thousands of items (far more than anyone could ever want or need), clean and well maintained. Produce was excellent, and GE has an arrangement with the Food Bank(s) for their overstock inventory. Nice community gesture not everyone knows about. f8 and be there. read more

This is my friendly neighborhood grocery store. They've done some remodeling over the last couple of years. It was frustrating while it was going on (they moved stuff every week!), but totally worth it. Big, beautiful, and stocked with just about anything you could ever want. FILTHY bathrooms, feces on the floor, urine on the seat, paper literally EVERYWHERE except the paper towel holders. No soap in the dispensers, sinks covered with litter. Disgusting, filthy, dirty, raunchy ... that being said, this was the beginning of an AWFUL experience overall with this location. The man "Roy" at the beer and wine counter was rude, inexperienced and should probably have just have taken his retirement when be had the chance 15 years ago. The woman at the customer service desk was a dried up bag of expired prunes. I believe her name was Vicki. The store itself was a lot nicer before they flipped it around with the remodel a few years back and the cashiers are either 16 or 82. Management seems to be careless, inexperienced or both. Avoid this place and save some actual money and head over to Target right next door. And for better quality and fresher food try Shop-N-Save. read more

The store has a great selection and love the fuel perks. Just wish they had more actual cashiers instead of so many check out lines because you can tell some of the people checking themselves out don't do it often and it leads to major lines at times. Other than that, the sales are great and they have everything in one place. read more

Probably one of the best Giant Eagles around that is not a "Market District" Giant Eagle. The variety of products is really good and they also have a lot of features that you only see in the Market District locations. read more

I had a horrible shopping experience at the Giant Eagle in n. Irwin Pa. I waited 15 minutes while employees in the area did not even acknowledge my presence. I finally asked an employee if someone could help me. I stood there another 5 minutes then an employee came out and had an attitude right off the bat. When it came time to pay I asked her to put in my phone number and she told me to do it on the key pad. It did not give me the option I told her and she was very indignant when she pointed at a monitor above my eye level I had no clue about the monitor not being aware of their system. I asked her to void it and rering it.Once again very indignant. The transaction had not occurred yet she was just to lazy and told me to go to customer service after ringing the transaction anyway. Having managed multiple retail stores this behavior is unacceptable by any employee. I could go on but you get the idea. read more

Last 2 times there had to leave without finishing our shopping due to the fact that we couldn't find what we needed since they made 1/2 of the store Ace hardware!! Tried the curbside pickup today so when we arrive at the assigned time was told we had to wait because they had to get someone to finish our order. Although I had indicated I had prescription to be added was told no scripts even though the pharmacy had texted me that the scripts were ready had to call pharmacy to be told yes they had it ready!! This store used to be a good store but has gone down hill in the last 3 months. Very disappointed read more

With remodeling going on at this store, store employees do try at times to help the customer. However, today it took me over an hour to purchase 10 items. First the deli counter was short handed which took 15 minutes of waiting and another 10 for the clerk to locate the Dietz and Watson Turkey meat. I was so glad to get the meat that I didn't comment that I was given a lb of the expensive meat instead of the 1/2 pound I requested. Then I went to the other end of the store to get butter from the diary - but couldn't find it. I looked even in crazy areas then went back to the opposite end of the store thinking it might be some nook near the cheese and diary. I asked where the butter was there from an employee who spent a lot of time apologizing that she didn't know where it was and go ask customer service. So I went to the front of the store in customer service who replied it was definitely in dairy. So I went back to diary and hunted around the area again and asked an employee who was in diary who kindly told me it was temporarily near aisle 15 (the middle of the store). WHY CAN'T GIANT EAGLE MAKE A HANDWRITTEN SIGN IN THE DIARY WHERE BUTTER AND EGGS USE TO BE TO LET PEOPLE KNOW? Also Giant Eagle has switched from a lot of name brand products to Giant Eagle brands--which I can do longer eat because of fillers like wheat that I'm allergic to. Because of that I've been doing more of my shopping at Wal-mart which is further away. I give 1 star to the man who finally helped me in diary. AND WHY DOES GIANT EAGLE PROVIDE HAND SANITIZERS WHEN YOU RETRIEVE YOUR CART ONLY TO SWITCH CARTS ON YOU WHEN YOU CHECK OUT? I appreciate the inital concern as I've wondered if the stores ever clean the carts; but let me stick with my initial cart after wiping it down or provide more wipes at check-out. read more
