I bought two donuts at the Giant on Edgemont Avenue in Brookhaven. They were chocolate iced and they were supposed to have been filled with cream. Besides having shrunk in size there was absolutely not a drop of cream in these donuts. Very disappointing in Giant's bakery. read more

Hate to give bed reviews. So I'm happy to say that this is a great review. Being said it's Cinco de Mayo and I had no idea where the taco shells that I wanted were. Because sometimes the ones that I want, we're up by the bakery. I asked the Young employee whose name is Lamont as he was stacking shelves in the international aisle and He told me four different places that they were at and he was absolutely right as I congratulated him to his manager Tim he explained that his aisle is produce yet he knew exactly where to send me. I want to give some recognition for outstanding service to Taylor in the floral department at the Brookhaven Giant. My buddy in Florida paid a local florist to deliver flowers to his mom, who lives in an area retirement community. He thought everything would be taken care of... then the florist cancelled the order, saying they had supply issues! And no online seller of floral arrangements was taking additional delivery orders for Mother's Day. He asked me to help him out... First stop, based upon a recommendation, was this Giant in Brookhaven. And it was a good recommendation. My buddy wanted something a little more grand than usual. Taylor offered to make a custom arrangement. All we had to do was select the main flowers we wanted in it. I could see she was in the zone as she built the arrangement. It turns out she is a real artist at this... Anyway, if you want something special when it comes to flowers, just ask and maybe they'll do something like this for you. Generally everyone here is nice and communicates well. I do have an issue with giant direct. It's not the staff, they are working their asses off . But the company does not provide enough staff or enough help to be able to offer this service. They either need more staff, less slots available, or just don't offer it. Why offer a service you cannot promise on? I've been called multiple times for time changes, I have sat in my car for 45 minutes waiting for an order. Most times they are going as fast as they can it's not the staff it's that they're understaffed. Help the giant direct team!! read more

I stood at the seafood counter for 15 minutes with no one every surfacing. No bell or device to alert someone that there was a customer waiting. Employee breathing down my neck as I bought a drink from self check out, like I'm gonna do some sophisticated criminal behavior for my 3 dollar drink. Rather have my receipt checked when I'm done then someone standing behind me awkwardly. This company has a problem with theft, so they resort to treating everyone like a criminal? There is a right and wrong way to solve this problem, but paying employees to stand behind you as you ring your stuff up, and closing down all the self checkouts but one or two, instead of just switching to actual cashiers and paying them to ring your stuff up and eliminate the huge loss due to theft, makes you wonder WTF is going on at this company. Giant wants to promote a friendlier atmosphere but then treats its customers like thieves in a terribly notable fashion instead of investing in the proper self checkout tech like other companies (walmart) read more

I've had the opportunity to visit many times thus far in 2019. It's Clean inside and out. The inside Staff always make sure the carts are returned and not flying around the parking lots. This particular giant is only two years old and is still living up to its good reputation since opening. What I like about this particular giant is that although it's in an area where people are less apt to purchase organic items, this location still has a fabulous few aisles dedicated to organics .I think in the process they have converted a few locals. Their prices for these items are very good. The shelves are always well stocked and whomever buys for this particular Giant is doing a good job. No I don't have to run all the way to congested Springfield for organics. But it doesn't stop there. They've resisted the urge to fill the aisles up with floor items so you can still navigate well past other people. The only area they're lacking and worthy of a one star deduction is the fact that they pile the shelf so high that you can't read the signs to see where to find your items. That's got to be a problem for most everybody because I'm tall at 5'10 0 and it bugs me. Still, it's a very good Giant and worth visiting. read more

The Brookhaven Giant has always been good to me to grab what I need whether it's milk, bread, foil, soda, or wine it is good to get in and out. I will say most of the time I go there to grab roses for my wife, which she ends up loving. She has grown to become a fan so much that I take her so she can pick out her own flowers and make her own arrangements. It is always a pleasant experience and good interactions with staff. I appreciate a clean place that is quiet and I am able to get what I need without any problems to get back on my way. read more

This store is an absolute disgrace. Bad management. I wish a better market like Acme would come and take this space. Beer selection sucks and they have no regard for their regular customers preferred brands. Will put any trendy trash beer in the case to play keep up with Wegman's. Entire portions of the cold cases house beers THAT MOVE ZERO UNITS AND HAVE DUST ON THEM BECAUSE THEY'VE SAT SO LONG. Every time I'm in Giant Brookhaven they employees complain about hours being cut, the store being dead slow, and terrible management. read more

Clean, new, and carries the healthier products we always expect from Giant. They were on sale this time, too! Staff was really nice when former store was across the street, and they dealt with dilapidating conditions long after Aston got its new store, so we're glad to see them settle into a shiny new home! - MUCH bigger parking lot. - They offer wine and beer in a gated section of the store (must pay in that section, not at regular checkout). - No gas station like at the nearby Aston location. TWO stars off because they are no longer open 24 hours; they now close at midnight. ShopRite across the street is open 24 hours. Even Granite Run Acme is open until 1am. (I would rather have a 24-hour dumpy store than a sparkling one that closes at midnight.) PS - I was told at Dollar Tree that they will be moving into the former location for Giant, for a new, HUGE Dollar Tree! read more

This store is the absolute worst. There isn't a week that goes by that I'm unable to get a least one thing on my list. The employees are able to park in the parking places closest to the door. I work at a Kroger in Atlanta and employees were required to park farthest from from the door. They rarely have enough cashiers scheduled on the weekends. I went 3 times in the last 2 days for the chicken prepared by the deli that had a coupon only to find that it hadn't been cooked. I take the heat for going at 9:30am but the 2 other attempts were 11:15am and 1pm. Pathetic. There's obviously a management problem! They walk around (managers) looking but not doing. 100% dissatisfied! I will take my business across the street to ShopRite or drive further to the Aston Giant. The woman that runs the bakery is the most rude unfriendly individual in the store. Fortunately they have some employees that stand head and shoulders above their colleagues. Bad marks after shopping there for years over the deal if the week today. Deal was supposed to be a package of ground chuck at 4.97 a lb and get free a pack of shredded lettuce, a pack of shredded cheese, a box of 12 taco shells and a packet of taco seasoning mix. They did not have any of the ground meat for 4.97 in 1 or 2 lbs so I picked up a pack of ground meat for 5.97 a pound at a about 8 dollars except that when I was checking out and I mentioned it, the cashier told me I couldn't get the deal with that package of more expensive meat. He got the manager who went back and brought up a 4 lb package of meat at 4.97 a pound at almost 20 dollars the pack and said I had to buy 4 lbs. I pulled the ad out {I had it with me, and said this ad doesn't say I have to buy 4 lbs of meat. She said 4 lbs was the smallest packs they had or no deal. So it was No Deal and I won't be shopping there again. Plenty of other choices for groceries in the area and I'm too freaking old at 71 to be treated that way. I don't need 4 lbs of Taco meat just to get 6 or 7 dollars of free stuff. Guess your deals aren't for old folks shopping for themselves. Guess your store isn't either. Directly across the street is a friendlier place. I went there. Got the deal of the week exactly twice in the past. Spent a whole lot of money there over the years. Never Again! read more

The bakery used to be good. Recently, it's fallen down. Today, the only Italian bread they had was either one day or two days old, at full price. I bought a day old loaf. It didn't age well. The donut selection, once good, is now limited, and frequently the racks are mislabeled. read more

Generally a pleasant shopping experience but one night I came in here to pick up an order of cupcakes and some other items. The cashier (lane 4, slim young black guy) was so unfriendly and was more concerned with chatting it up with a fellow female cashier 2 lanes over. When I left with the 10 year old I was getting the cupcakes for, I told him that when he gets that age and works with the public, he should always be pleasant and never rude. 4 stars for location and cleanliness; workers in the aisles are ALWAYS helpful, especially the guy in dairy!!! read more

My boyfriend and I came here to meal prep for the week. We figured that we could trust Giant to have good meat products, unlike other cheaper grocery stores. We don't mind spending extra money for good products. We bought two packages of ground turkey. The ground turkey looked good, the packaging said to freeze by Sept 29th so we figured we would get a good product (we have been having bad luck with getting spoiled ground turkey in grocery stores). As we went to cook the ground turkey, there was a nasty stench. We continued to cook but as we cooked it the smell got worse. I know the smell all too well. BAD MEAT! I don't mean to be a hard customer but selling bad meat is one of the WORST things a grocery store can do. The diseases that come with it, E. coli, especially. It should be a groceries store #1 priority to make sure that their consumers are getting good, clean products. I'm so disappointed and disgusted. read more

This Giant was great until the last 6 months. Popular brands I've been buying have disappeared off of the shelves (mostly in the gluten free/natural area) little by little. I asked customer service about one of the products and she didn't even really have an answer for me nor looked anything up on the computer right in front of her. She was no help at all. Seems like giant's natural brand "free form" is moving in more and more. Just bring back Tinkyada at least, their pasta is much better than your free form pasta! might just have to check out shoprite or start ordering from amazon pantry instead of finding substitutes from giant. read more
