Perfect for meeting friends having a gathering we're just having dinner on a business trip. There's an above average beer offering as well as a full bar. I chose to have an old-fashioned with my meal. There's a large selection of shareable's and I chose the crab dip and it was nicely done. There's five or six flatbread pizzas to choose from a nice offering of salads as well as sandwiches, and four entrées, consisting of mac & cheese, fish and chips, muscles, pork cutlet. I always enjoy Reuben so I took their twist of a Reuben cheesesteak on a pretzel hoagie, which was nice and soft and a fun twist on a Reuben. If you're local, I think it's a great location to meet friends and have a beer after work if you're traveling like myself it's a great option versus the standard national brands.

The menu changes often and stays interesting, and the rotating selection of flavorful brews and creative libations can easily keep you here for hours. My go to salmon BLT, Reuben cheesesteak and inglorious bratwurst. Don't forget the bbq nachos, cheese curds and spice bagged wings! We come at least once a week and always bring out-of-town visitors here--everyone is impressed by the quality of the food and the warm, welcoming service. Don't skip the rotating desserts--they're always worth it. Live music on Saturdays and trivia on Tuesdays just add to the fun. If I could give this place six stars, I would. It's that good.

If I'm being honest, I don't know what else would draw you here; but if you're looking for a low-key, fun spot to watch a game on TV, I could see coming here for that. Beer is tasty, a mix of their own brews and locally sourced drafts. They have a handful of cocktails and soft drinks if beer is not your thing. I've always found the beer here to be above average. If you're not coming to see a game a Subaru Park, just make sure there's no events happening when you visit because there is usually a cost to park during the soccer season. This is a popular game day spot, and Larimer always stays organized, providing great service each time. Mix of indoor and outdoor seating is available, and in favorable weather, they open their large garage doors. They do not sell food! Check their socials to see if a food truck or vendor is on site if you're hoping to eat. They partner with Spite Curiosities often, which is a very tasty local vendor with delicious sandwiches and tomato pies - you MUST try their cookies! Like their original brewery on Long Beach Island, NJ, Ship Bottom Brewery in Swarthmore, PA is a…read moredose of unpretentious casual fun, live music, solid beer with extraordinary variety, great ambiance, and seasonal cheer. Located by the train stop and bustling central retail hub of Swarthmore and surrounded by street names of pretentious Ivy League schools, Ship Bottom provides a refuge with table and bar seating inside (some leather couches too) and an array of seating and fire pits outside over pebbles out back. With food trucks, live music, TVs, and an excellent pizza shop across the street, you can enjoy entertainment, a football game, and good food along with beer or even cocktails. For beer, they have an excellent year round IPA - Shack IPA - named after a lost building on LBI. It is West Coast style, generously hopped, and very drinkable. Swell Dorado double IPA is a bit more powerful, and the hazy IPAs are lighter and less hoppy. In addition to the excellent Off Season Sour, seasonal beers like the Imperial Pumpkin and stouts provide great variety. Ship Bottom's hard seltzers are incredible and light on calories. They have 8-10 flavors and mix the flavors by order. Try the Spicy Banana and Prickly Pear! When in Philly, this should be your first brewery or where you want to finish a weekend night in the summer or a crisp fall day. Cheers!

They have arcade games inside to further prompt families to bring children, and a few toddler-park games in the outside area. They make it VERY clear they want people to bring their small children. We couldn't sit outside one time without hearing screaming and crying just FEET away. If you're ok with that, this is the place for you. Even Friday and Saturday nights it's packed with small children. Hopefully this is something that changes in the future because it keeps us from coming.

We didn't have reservations but were still able to sit outside on their enclosed patio with a tinkling fountain. We were delighted to find on a Wednesday that they were still having happy hour specials all day and even had a 3-course price fixed. My daughter and I loved the Gondola Ride with citrus vodka and limoncello. It was a refreshing, summertime drink. For the 3-course price fixed, we tried the lasagna noodle soup which was unique and delicious. My corn cappellacci (not on the price-fixed menu) was a new entree. The pasta was light and airy, and the corn and shrimp made it a tasty dish perfect for a summer night. For dessert, the gelato twist with banana was heavenly. Our lovely server even made sure to put a birthday candle in our daughter's dessert as it was her birthday. We'll be back!

I'm grateful that Sterling Pig has the taste and integrity to serve real potato French fries. I've stopped buying fries most places because it's all reconstituted junk anymore, but Sterling Pig's are legit. Thank you! Pulled pork is well rendered with expected flavor and is just simple and satisfying as it should be; grilled meat. No hint of a water bath or any of the cockamamie things some cooks can do to pork meat. Not super smokey but it doesn't need to be, and it doesn't need sauce either which means it's good meat to eat alone. Brisket had all the desired flavor but loads of fat. I don't like paying for gristle and fat when I pay by the pound. Otherwise, they are one of the few places up here who can get flavor right. Big Bad Wolf in Aston used to make great burnt ends with delicious flavor but quality waned last time I tried it. All in all Sterling Pig is pretty good and if you're not used to weeks of GA BBQ every year like we are, you're definitely in for a treat among local options.
