The make the best salad and don't use iceberg lettuce. Pizza crust is flavorful. Not thick crust perfect thin crust if that what you like.

Lasagna, house salad and garlic bread

I called in my order because they're usually pretty busy. I had the Lasagna dinner which comes with a salad, garlic bread and drink. The serving for the Lasagna is big and it was delicious just as the fresh n crisp salad and garlic bread. The sauce on the Lasagna is a little on the sweet side but I really liked it. They make their own dressing for the salad and that was so good. I've also had the pizza on a previous visit which was also reagood and the crust was so good and had good flavor. Lastly, the service was great! Very attentive and just overall nice experience for my takeout order.

Sells by the slice. Ready in minutes. Hot and fresh. Not too greasy. Parking could be better. The giant is big enough for a whole family.

But these guys are reasonably priced and the quality of the food was amazing. I got 2 pizzas ( buffalo chicken ) and ( plain ) for my wife and I and we both admit this was phenomenal. I also got some wings ( also reasonably priced ) other places often casually charge $2.5 per wing for some trash wings. But these wings were good quality not the gigantic ones that are juiced up. The wings were smaller and more natural as they should be. Definitely recommend this'll become my families pizza spot for sure.

We ordered the Meats Pizza, spaghetti, a mushroom calzone, and a salad, and every single dish was outstanding. The pizza crust was absolutely delicious, the calzone was perfectly made, and the spaghetti sauce was one of the best I've had in a very long time. You can truly taste the quality and care that goes into the food. What made our visit truly unforgettable, though, was the customer service. A young man, only 14 years old, helped us, and I was genuinely amazed by his professionalism. His warm personality, calm demeanor, and the way he spoke to us reflected a level of hospitality you would expect at a first-class restaurant. Even though the restaurant was very busy, he never made us feel rushed. Since it was our first visit, he patiently answered every question, explained the menu, described the portions, and helped us choose exactly what we wanted. His confidence, kindness, and genuine desire to help made our experience truly exceptional. If you appreciate outstanding food and exceptional customer service, Bambino is a place you should absolutely visit. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. Great food brings people in, but exceptional service creates lifelong customers--and that's exactly what happened with us.

Artichoke hearts were great and the stuffed tomatoes were a pleaselant surprise. My family had numerous pastas and a pie which we were all blown away by this hidden gem. Unfortunately the expirence took a turn when it came to our service from our server, Mia. I should mention that we were not locals and we traveled from a different state. We spent our day going to Sesame Place with our family and wanted a bite to eat after. I will say we weren't the best dressed given our day however, I feel like we were targeted for this reason from the beginning. We had a party of 6 and we knew that mandatory tip was included before going. That did not stop us since we were looking for a delicious meal before driving back home. We ordered water as soon as we sat down since we had spent the day in the sun. From that moment, Mia rolled her eyes and didn't even ask how we were doing, not even a smile. Mia's attitude towards us was very unprofessional the entire time. She would come over very quickly and wouldn't ask if we needed anything or how we were doing. We had to ask her in the small time she would come over or ask someone else. We were celebrating my birthday and mentioned that but she didn't acknowledge it. The cherry on top was when we received our bill, it was $201 and some change. We gave $210 and the exact change in cash so we could recieve an even $10 back and leave it at the table even though the tip was already taken out. Mia brought back 9 dollars and 1 dollar in change back and honestly, it was petty. After that, we didn't leave anything extra and left feeling pretty upset with the overall service. It was disappointing for my family that our last part of our vacation ended like this. Money was not an issue for my family and it is disappointing to get judged when I have the same currency as everyone else paying inside. Unfortunately, I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone even though the food was truly delicious.

I Really Wanted to Love This Pizza…read more After seeing several Facebook videos from this restaurant, my wife and I drove south after church specifically to try their Chicago-style deep-dish pizza. The videos worked--I was genuinely excited. The last Chicago-style pizza I had was at Lefty's in North Park, which was very good, so I was looking forward to trying another local option. Our first impression was excellent. The restaurant looked great, with Chicago memorabilia on one side and San Diego Padres players on the other. It was cool and comfortable inside, and the cashier was exceptionally friendly and attentive. I told her it was our first visit and that their Facebook advertising was exactly what brought us in. We ordered the popular Empire State Meat Lovers deep-dish pizza. The cashier explained that it would take about 25-30 minutes, which was no problem--we expected a proper deep-dish pizza to take some time. With one Coke, the total was $41.30. That seemed a little expensive, but I would have been perfectly happy with the price if the pizza delivered what the videos promised. We requested it in a box because we expected to eat only a slice or two and take the rest home. After about 30 minutes, the cashier brought it to our table with plenty of chili packets and a deep-dish serving utensil. The pizza looked amazing when we opened the box, and it had the size, weight, cheese, and crunch you would expect from a substantial deep-dish pizza. Unfortunately, the flavor did not match its appearance. I first pulled off a piece of crust, but it had very little flavor. The sauce was overwhelmingly salty--so salty that my wife joked that we would have no trouble getting our sodium for the day. I laughed and hoped the rest of the slice would be better. The pizza was served piping hot, the cheese was plentiful, and the crust had a satisfying crunch. However, after several bites, I could not get past the saltiness. Beneath all that salt, the sauce tasted bland, and the dough lacked the rich flavor I expect from a good deep-dish crust. If I am being completely honest, the overall flavor reminded me more of a basic frozen supermarket pizza than a freshly made specialty pizza. I really tried to like it, especially because I had been so excited to come. But I could barely finish one slice. We walked out carrying a very heavy box with only two slices missing, and unless one of our kids eats the leftovers, I honestly have little desire to reheat them. What disappointed me most was not spending $41.30 on a pizza we did not enjoy. It was that I truly wanted to love this place. The Facebook videos showed someone taking tremendous pride in his pizza craft, and I was hoping to find a great Chicago-style restaurant we could return to. I hope this was simply an off day, because the restaurant itself was inviting and the service was excellent. The staff treated us very well, and the pizza had the right appearance and structure--it just fell far short on flavor. My grades for this visit: * Service and atmosphere: A * Appearance and portion size: A * Crust crunchiness: B * Sauce: D * Dough flavor: D Sadly, based on this particular experience, I do not expect we will return. I might consider giving it another chance someday if I knew the owner or pizza maker featured in the Facebook videos was personally preparing the pizzas. I really hope our experience was not representative of what this restaurant usually serves.

The server said there's no room, we asked if they could move 2 tables together, the server mumbled that if they seat us inside then the restaurant will be full (it wasn't), and that the only option is outside. They just moved 2 tables together for the party before us. She said she would ask the manager. The manager was just as useless, he stood in the back, both staring while they talked about how they could move tables together. The girl at the bar did nothing but stare. Finally they said they could move the tables together. They moved them, placed napkins on it and then the hostess came back to the front and folded napkins. Didn't say we could sit, nobody came to tell us it was ready, they just sat there staring and folding napkins. We waited another 5 minutes and nobody said anything to us, so we ended up going to another pizza sit down chain where we were seated with excellent service, and everyone working was not socially inept. Such a shame, we always had excellent service here, and didn't feel like we were inconveniencing them by wanting to eat here.

The first was when I was about six-years old and I ate some of the best pizza in my life at that point on the patio during a sunny day while my older sister and her girl scout troop had a party event. The second, my Dad was when my Dad treated me to a mouth-watering and fresh Turkey submarine sandwich after my Confirmation, when I was about 16-years-old. Those were the days, yes, indeed. Forward to present day, and this deli is still unequivocally, one of my favorites spots to grab lunch or dinner. The staff consisting of a very diligent family are always polite and loquacious. The family certainly takes pleasure in making sure all customers are welcomed with open arms. During the past decade or so, the quality of food has not deteriorated. The pizza is always fresh, and hits the spot. I suggest ordering the 20-inch or 28-inch for events such as a movie night, boxing fight-night matches, or a birthday party for your son and/or daughter or for a family-gathering event in general. The crust from the pizza is thick and slightly crunchy...sometimes, I tear off some parts of the crust and save it for later. The selection of toppings are plenty and just enough to create the pizza to your liking. I would say the toppings are from the old-school style of pizza joints....ya know, that 1980's-style feel. As for the sandwiches, I have to refrain from ordering two! The bread is moist, delicious and pairs well with the choice of sub you select. I must warn you, it can be overwhelming with all the choices the deli has to serve. The Philly Steak is one, if not the best I have consumed in San Diego county. The other subs I suggest are: Turkey, ham and cheese, a Turkey sub, Pastrami sandwich and the gyro. I sincerely hope you will not be disappointed when you try what the deli has to offer. In addition, for the appetizers, the French fries, fried zucchini, and cheese garlic bread are supreme and premium side snacks to add if you are feeling voracious and ravenous. And, who knows, you may see Mario Lopez there during your visit. *Side Notes*: Parking lot is never crowded to a point where you become frustrated, the front entrance is visible and you will not miss the turn to drive inside the parking lot, and the establishment is easy to locate off the 805 freeway or if you are traveling from the roads.
