The one downside we had was the beef quesadilla came out as a chicken one, but the manager was happy to fix it for us but we declined. But nonetheless, he still took it off the bill. Came here twice with my mom and two littles. Both times I ordered the Baja fish bowl and both times they did not disappoint. The service was great and the food even better. All made fresh. I loved the skinny margarita too! And it's a great spot if you want to enjoy the games since there are TV's located throughout. Chill casual vibe and will definitely be a spot I frequent too. Tucan's has good items like the chicken fajitas and small skillet of queso blanco. Their complimentary jalapeño ranch does not compare to Chuy's, but it's still good. Their bacon-wrapped shrimp was by far the best, but we did not like their fried rice. Would have liked to try their margarita but did not feel like paying $14 for a not-so-big "jumbo" margarita. Overall we were not impressed. Premium prices for average Mexican cuisine. The small restaurant space was more loud than cozy. read more

First star deducted for not only the mint in my drink being served with holes from bugs eating the mint, but so were the replacements!! It was a fairly watery drink, nothing I'd order again. Great salsas, crispy chips. Decent shrimp tacos with EXCELLENT hand made, fresh tortillas. Very well filled quesadillas, but super bland & unseasoned. Very good salsa & guacamole, just extremely TINY portions. Rice & beans were dismal. Overall there's nothing particularly special. Service was slow but sweet. This won't be a repeat for us. My family and I joined my sister and her husband here for dinner this past weekend - this is their go-to Mexican restaurant. We're so glad we did - the food was excellent, the service was attentive, and it was a fun lively atmosphere while not being so loud that couldn't hold a conversation. We had the corn and queso to start (alongside the sauces - the green sauce is amazing!) and split the large shrimp quesadilla, which was delicious and plenty of food. Our husbands enjoyed their food and my 4 year old son loved his taco. The wait staff was also so kind and patient with him. Not to mention we were able to enjoy fantastic margaritas during happy hour (which is until 7pm even on a Friday - almost unheard of)! If we lived in the area, we'd definitely be a regular here! If I remember correctly, Happy Hour runs from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and it's one of the best values around, especially if you're a margarita fan. I recently visited Tucan's and went with a large group of us! The host was very accommodating and the restaurant is kid friendly. They provided him with a coloring page and crayons. There is ample parking which I love. The flautas were a hit--crispy, fresh, and well-executed. The carne asada fries had perfectly seasoned, tender meat, and the queso had a great spice level. The octopus was cooked perfectly, had a nice spice, and was one of the best-tasting dishes of the night. The standouts for sure were the drinks!! I would come here for happy hour every day if I could. For drinks, the cucumber martini was incredibly refreshing, the whiskey sunrise was light and enjoyable, and the Toporita had great flavor. We had a great experience at Tucan's! Our server Oscar was very attentive. The menu is full of elevated Mexican food options. We decided on the seafood empanadas, chicken tortilla soup, bacon wrapped shrimp, and quesabirrias. All were AWESOME! The seafood empanadas were flavorful and had an excellent cilantro lime ranch on them. I would highly recommend them along with the bacon wrapped shrimp served over fried rice. I'd also recommend the Topo-Rita. We had both the Mango and Strawberry flavors and can't wait to come back and enjoy them again. read more

Came here for a birthday dinner and although the customer service was great, that was about it. We had the seafood empanadas, grande chicken quesadillas, and the horchata. I would not call this authentic food, definitely Tex-mex and maybe others enjoy this type of food but it was not my cup of tea. The food was okay, the drink tasted watered down and sweet, and some of the food our friends ordered was cold. The aesthetics and music is "vibey" and so there's a certain ambiance that could be nice if the food and drinks were up to par. read more

Had a great lunch experience. Chips and salsa were fresh. People travel across the country for this green sauce that is similar to a creamy jalapeño. The white queso was a good size, served hot, and tasty! Our waiter had good recommendations of the chicken flautas and beef/pork street tacos. The inside was renovated and had good vibes. No way this place has 4.8 stars on Google.. IMPOSSIBLE! Service was spot on.. Fantastic. Chips and Salsa - TRASH. Hot garbage. The salsa was all juice and tasted like old shrimp. I ordered the two meat fajitas (their name, not what I'm calling it).. beef and chicken pretty simple and standard right.. nah, this place jacked that up. Beef was over cooked and quite crispy.. the chicken was so hard that it was like eating potato chips. Flavorless chips.. charro beans, all soup and cold. 10 out of 10, will never eat there again. I'm convinced that the only reason this place has 4.8 stars is because the local neighborhood is impressed compared to the Mariscos that was in this location previously. I never ate there due to the reviews so I can see how this is a step up, but not much. Wasted $30 and hit Taco Bell on the way home. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. read more

When my husband and I walked in and saw the name change, we were shocked but after we were seated the shock went away. The cucumber martinis is amazing!
