Today we were riding our Honda Goldwing home from Chicago and had a rear flat tire 5 mile N of Gibson City. We were unable to get a tow truck to take us to Effingham which was home. We called this tire shop for assistance and they went way beyond anything we could have expected a local service station to do. Larry, the owner, came to our location, picked us up and took us back to his shop. Then allowed us to use his personal truck to go to a Dealer in Champaign and purchase a tire. We got the new tire put on and were on our way having been inspired by their genuine act of kindness as well as professional service!!!!! We have nothing but praise for the Gibson City Quick Lube!!! Here we are again returning from Chicago and this time our Grandson's car is broke down :( We had it towed 37 mile to the Quick Lube in Gibson.....And just like last time Larry and Dee have our car in their shop and are taking VERY good care of us!! We really appreciate their promptness and efficiency....... they certainly know how to make an emergency less stressful! Thank you so much Larry and Dee!!!!! read more

HOWEVER, they over-charged us and sold us an extended warranty that didn't in fact cover any of the things that went wrong with the vehicle. Most notably, though, when we just traded it in (underwater on it, still), we discovered that the car had been in TWO accidents before we bought it, both with "moderate to severe damage." When we bought it, we were told there had been one fender-bender. Now, we did love that car, but in the end, it cost us much more than it should have (price, warranty, repairs, poor trade-in value).
