It was "just deal with it" because the car was out of warranty and we expected that it would be super expensive. Ended up being $289 out the door - couldn't believe it. But the true gem is Marisol. She does it all and is the "mom" in the "mom and pop" operation. Great customer service and wonderful to talk to when you get there. She is excellent with communication, providing status, and working with your cost concerns. I couldn't speak more highly of somebody that I have worked with regarding my vehicle. The owners were easy to talk to, explained things clearly, and even showed a video of what was wrong. Inspection was $130 + 4% for card, so bring cash if you can. After the inspection, for the repairs I chose to get the front engine mount and brake pads done. I left, came back within 38 minutes, and paid about $700 cash, around $835 total for everything. Pricing felt fair. Shop is in a rough area and the waiting space is basic, but fine. Only thing I didn't like: they didn't show me the old parts or the new ones (motor mount or brake pad boxes). It looked like new work was done, but I'd feel better seeing that upfront. Next time I'll ask. Overall, solid experience. Nice people, fair work, that's what matters. I'd go back.
