It was a thorough inspection as there were so many components involved, with 3 zones. They diagnosed, got the parts, fixed it all and it was for a great price. My family has AC again! It was "just deal with it" because the car was out of warranty and we expected that it would be super expensive. Ended up being $289 out the door - couldn't believe it. But the true gem is Marisol. She does it all and is the "mom" in the "mom and pop" operation. Great customer service and wonderful to talk to when you get there. She is excellent with communication, providing status, and working with your cost concerns. I couldn't speak more highly of somebody that I have worked with regarding my vehicle. After the inspection, for the repairs I chose to get the front engine mount and brake pads done. I left, came back within 38 minutes, and paid about $700 cash, around $835 total for everything. Pricing felt fair. Shop is in a rough area and the waiting space is basic, but fine. Only thing I didn't like: they didn't show me the old parts or the new ones (motor mount or brake pad boxes). It looked like new work was done, but I'd feel better seeing that upfront. Next time I'll ask. Overall, solid experience. Nice people, fair work, that's what matters. I'd go back.

It was not. He was wedged in there for 12 hours with no food, no water, and zero litter box access. He was absolutely losing it. I ran through every option. Fire department? Busy with the actual chemical explosion rattling all of OC, fair. Animal control? Ghosted me. My cousin, currently out of the country, tried Tesla Roadside Assistance through the app. Tesla's answer: their technicians are not trained to rescue animals. Noted, but deeply unhelpful in the moment. Two other mechanics passed too. Jesse was my third Yelp attempt and my last real option. He showed up within two hours, no fuss, and got straight to work. He tried everything - the frunk, underneath, removing the right wheel - methodically working different angles for an hour and a half because my cat had chosen the most inconvenient possible position to be chonky in. Jesse stayed patient the entire time and got him out safely. My cat is home. He is fine. He is completely unbothered, as cats are. Jesse showed up when nobody else could. That is not something I will forget. Oh, and his prices are insanely reasonable. If you need a mechanic who will actually show up and problem-solve, Jesse is your guy.

During that entire time, Jesse never contacted me to ask whether the part had arrived or to follow up on the work I had already paid him to do. I eventually had to reach out to him myself. Over the following three weeks, I sent multiple text messages and called several times, all of which were ignored. After getting nowhere, I called from a different number--and suddenly Jesse answered. His excuse was that he had been "busy." I asked him to send me my money back and he hung up and blocked my number. In total, nearly two months passed after he took my money with no communication, no follow-up, and no attempt to complete the service. Being busy may explain a delayed response. It does not explain ignoring a paying customer for over two months while continuing to keep their money. That is not poor time management; it is poor business practice. There was an $80 diagnostic fee, so technically I am only out $40. Financially, it is not a huge loss. Professionally, however, it says everything I need to know about this business. A reputable business does not take payment, fail to complete the agreed-upon service, ignore every attempt at communication, and then offer excuses only after being reached from a number it does not recognize. The motorcycle needed a diagnosis, but the bigger problem turned out to be the business itself: unreliable, unresponsive, and completely lacking in accountability. I would not trust Jesse with my motorcycle again, and I certainly would not recommend paying him anything upfront.

The estimate was very reasonable compared to a quote I received from a local Subaru dealership. Because I drive between OC and LA with my two young kids, I mentioned the urgency and he scheduled me the next morning with Mitch. Mitch greeted me, listened to my concerns, explained the repair, gave me a wait time, and even offered a complimentary car wash. I grabbed breakfast nearby and by the time I finished my meal, Mitch called to say the car was ready. He also pointed out a few things from the inspection to keep an eye on, but nothing urgent. It has been about a couple of months since my car repair by Western Auto Care. My car is running…read moresmoothly for being 20 years old (2005 Toyota Corolla). Back in August my car stopped going in reverse and I knew it was time to replace transmission. I message around to a few vendors on YELP. Most of the vendors were were asking for double or tripled the amount for rebuilding transmission. Daniel suggested buying an used transmission which cut down on the costs significantly. Once I had the car dropped off he was constantly updating me with texts/photos of the car status. I also had him replace the real main seal (since transmission is already out) and replace the motor mounts (transmission and engine) and control arms with ball joints. They also tested the used transmission to make sure it held up. They were able to do all that work in 2 days. The car needed to run a while to break in the new/"used" transmission. Daniel and his team did an excellent job with the repair work, communication, and the pricing. The pricing was quite reasonable (Daniel did let me know ahead of time the pricing/quotes for potential work). I would take my current and future cars to him for any repair work.
