Another adventure off interstate 44! Heading home in the morning, I needed a coffee to keep me company for the drive. The space offers several seating options plus an outdoor patio when the weather permits. The deep mahogany wood gives it a dark but cozy atmosphere. Jena was my barista when I stopped in. I am someone who has never met a stranger, and it seems neither has she. We struck up an easy conversation. She was very helpful with the menu. There are several types of coffee drinks to choose from. Given the hot weather, an iced coffee was in order. I went with an Irish coffee drink. I was able to customize milk choice and sweetness level. I prefer my coffee drinks not too sweet. She made an excellent cup of coffee. I inquired about food, and at the time only had muffins and cookies. Needing something a little more substantial, I decided not to try them. I plan to visit again next time I pass through. read more

Yelp! showed Giddy Goat on the corner so I looked for a street sign. I passed the shop. Looking closer I noticed the java joint was slightly off the corner of the building. I circled back and again missed it. Lining up directly in front I scanned the few storefronts and finally located Giddy's window sign behind a row of parked cars. All was almost well. I made several modifications to my caramel machiotto, which likely accounted for the off, rather fruity, taste. Staff were wonderful in helping me finalize my order. The road trip continues... This is a fabulous little coffee shop in the midst of the Missouri University of S&T. Just off Route 66, this unassuming place is totally worth a stop. In the little town of Rolla right by the Missouri College of S&T you can find this hidden gem, and wow are they good. I'm so excited I stumbled across this quaint coffee shop. The walls were lined with coffee coasters from other coffee shops, it's hard to find a coffee shop that wants to help other shops rather than be cut throat! But onto the good stuff... I got the Baklava coffee with a light espresso roast and I can't put it down. The way they balance the flavors are unmatched, I can't taste the espresso but I feel wired! My buddy got the mocha latte with an add shot. He initially complained it wasn't strong enough, but after just a sip is bouncing off the walls! Their menu is so vast as well, it has something for everyone. Don't worry about coming here and getting bored with the same flavors too, they have rotating seasonal flavors! This place was a little hard to find. I actually drove past is at fires. It's located in a strip of store beside a liquor store. After I was able to locate it was really pleasant, friendly staff and delicious coffee. I love coffee art and the had some beautiful coffee art even in a to go cup. I tried the blueberry muffin, it was fantastic. The pastries that they offer are from a local Amish bakery. I love when local businesses support other local businesses in the area. I really love that there is a small business coffee house because I'm all about supporting small businesses but both times I have gone here my stomach has been SO upset I am afraid to go back. I drink coffee literally all day long so I know it's not that I can't handle coffee. I frequent other shops a lot. I am not sure what it is about here. I really really want to love this place. I've been to a lot of coffee houses. With the new Starbucks popping up right next to the highway I felt the need to steer some of that traffic to a local place only a few more minutes into town... The fact is and will remain that this is worth your stop if you are traveling across I-44 , it's only a few minutes into town. Yes you will wait for your coffee... would I want it any other way? No...because the consistency... it's absolutely mind blowing. I know exactly what I'm getting every time I get it. They deliver ever single time, and if anything was wrong with my masterfully crafted coffee you can guarantee that they would make it right without question. They use local milk for their coffee! ... Ozark Creamery. They pasteurize the milk on low, killing off the bacteria but keeping helpful enzymes that help you digest it. In other words if you are lactose intolerant you can possibly stomach this milk. They also don't give the cows added hormones or additives to their diet... (which break out your skin) milk as it should be. If you want consistent coffee the Giddy Goat is your jam. If you want to be disappointed.. go to Starbucks My go to is a rockabilly Dumbledore, not in the mood for a hot drink? Try a frozen purple haze. Thank me later. read more

Stopped in while in town for business, before getting back on the road. No pour-overs, espresso or drip only. It's a small place, looks pretty much like what you'd expect decor-wise, for a college town coffeeshop. The espresso was fine--not the best I've tasted, not the worst. What was the worst, however was the ridiculous wait time. During off-peak hours, with maybe 8-10 customers in the whole place, and with 2 baristas working the espresso machines, it took 15 minutes to get an americano. I can understand waiting if need be, but the two girls behind the counter were not in ANY hurry. They were chatting more than working, it seemed like. Oh well. I'll probably try it once more, to see if maybe it was just a one-time thing. (Hopefully). read more

You can find books to read, some art to see, variety of coffee flavors to chose from, friendly staff etc. The coffee was good although a little expensive( for me, I m a college student) and it's one of the only place to go on dates.
