Another adventure off interstate 44! Heading home in the morning, I needed a coffee to keep me company for the drive. The space offers several seating options plus an outdoor patio when the weather permits. The deep mahogany wood gives it a dark but cozy atmosphere. Jena was my barista when I stopped in. I am someone who has never met a stranger, and it seems neither has she. We struck up an easy conversation. She was very helpful with the menu. There are several types of coffee drinks to choose from. Given the hot weather, an iced coffee was in order. I went with an Irish coffee drink. I was able to customize milk choice and sweetness level. I prefer my coffee drinks not too sweet. She made an excellent cup of coffee. I inquired about food, and at the time only had muffins and cookies. Needing something a little more substantial, I decided not to try them. I plan to visit again next time I pass through.

If you searched using Apple maps, Yelp has the updated address: 400 E 6th St, Rolla, MO 65401 Baristas are so kind and personable! The place is very modern but also felt like stepping into a vogue dungeon - in the best way. Cozy, too. You can tell they just recently designed the new space and pay attention to detail. Certainly warrants a visit, whether you're just passing through town like we were or a local regular :) I included a photo of the storefront for those who are searching like we were!

An inviting and comfortable seating area.

Yelp! showed Giddy Goat on the corner so I looked for a street sign. I passed the shop. Looking closer I noticed the java joint was slightly off the corner of the building. I circled back and again missed it. Lining up directly in front I scanned the few storefronts and finally located Giddy's window sign behind a row of parked cars. All was almost well. I made several modifications to my caramel machiotto, which likely accounted for the off, rather fruity, taste. Staff were wonderful in helping me finalize my order. And, the small interior was welcoming, inviting, and comfortable.

The road trip continues... This is a fabulous little coffee shop in the midst of the Missouri University of S&T. Just off Route 66, this unassuming place is totally worth a stop. The sugar free Bakers Mocha tastes just like dark cocoa... not too sweet and so very smooth and rich. I wish we had time for a chess game... maybe another time :-)

This was such a cute local place to have coffee. The service was fast, and the coffee was great! I ordered a white mocha latte hot. It wasn't too sweet and the coffee was delicious. The place was neatly decorated. It was cozy and relaxing to have coffee here.

Very friendly staff. Loved all their recommendations! Cute little shop. Will definitely be back!!! Descriptions on board really helped.

Not many coffee shops in Rolla! The Giddy Goat perks up a decent cup of coffee in a college type setting. If you're not into mega chain coffee stores, Giddy up to this location!

Hot Baklava Lattee! 20 oz with 4 shots of espresso

In the little town of Rolla right by the Missouri College of S&T you can find this hidden gem, and wow are they good. I'm so excited I stumbled across this quaint coffee shop. The walls were lined with coffee coasters from other coffee shops, it's hard to find a coffee shop that wants to help other shops rather than be cut throat! But onto the good stuff... I got the Baklava coffee with a light espresso roast and I can't put it down. The way they balance the flavors are unmatched, I can't taste the espresso but I feel wired! My buddy got the mocha latte with an add shot. He initially complained it wasn't strong enough, but after just a sip is bouncing off the walls! Their menu is so vast as well, it has something for everyone. Don't worry about coming here and getting bored with the same flavors too, they have rotating seasonal flavors! If you are looking for a good, energetic start to the day be sure to stop by this shop!

Great space for a coffee shop. Espresso was excellent. Food selection limited and they were out of most food items on a Sunday

I had eaten there with my daughter, about ten years ago, which is WAY too long. I used to buy their 'Take and Bake' Pies at Harter House, but my local store no longer carries them. They've always been good. Why did it take me so long to come back? I'm usually traveling with my husband and he prefers BBQ or a burger when we're traveling. I'm glad I mentioned it Saturday, when we were looking for a place to eat lunch! We all loved it so much that we ate there again the next day, on our way home. Between us, we tried both kinds of Chicken Pot Pie (Traditional and Mushroom), the Chicken Salad on Croissant, the Tomato Soup, and the Bacon Quiche. Each entree was served with two hot rolls. I didn't have room for the rolls, but those who did said they were good. Dessert? You may have to take it with you, but they're packaged well. The quiche reheats well in the microwave. Those who tried it said it was the best quiche ever, and ordered it again the second day, so I took a piece home to try. I haven't tried my Cherry Raspberry yet, but the others said the Coconut Cream (whipped cream) and Custard were wonderful. I did try one of his cinnamon/sugar pie crust cookies. They tasted just like my mama used to make. He said he's planning to sell those at the Harter House Stores in the Springfield area, so I'll be looking for them. He's also bringing a truck to Harter House in Springfield on Eastgate, occasionally, so I'll be watching their Facebook Page so I can buy a piece of pie without going to Rolla. Good pie crust makes a pie, and luckily, you can find them in the freezer case at Harter House and Price Cutter Stores. Look for "Mickey's Pie Crust", ready to put in the oven and bake.

Cute light fixtures over the tables, and all of the diffusers in the ceiling were spotless. The bathroom did look a little bit shabby and dated compared to the dining room, and bad tile and grout work made weird puddles instead of letting mop water drain properly. But everything in there was clean (and smelled good), so no shame on the staff. Host and server were super friendly. Our server checked in just the right amount. I got the super bird and my son got pancakes with butter (he's not into syrup). I hadn't had a super bird since college. It was pretty good. Crispy grilled bread, turkey, tomato, cheese, whatever else. The tomato slices looked like they came from a good fruit, not mushy. In the fruit bowl (99¢ upcharge from the fries), the bananas were perfectly ripe, and so were the grapes. The cantaloupe and strawberries were a little underripe, but I just sprinkled them with a packet of Splenda and let them sit while I ate my sandwich and it worked out great. It's Denny's. Like $18 for our meal, plus tip. I'd come back. You know what you're getting here.

Kind people. Great Food!…read more This store is a total gem in Rolla, especially if you love to cook really good food, but also if you want some ready to eat food, candies and snacks. I didn't know some of the food on the grocery shelves, but had a lot of help from such a friendly person who worked there picking out the best stuff, and even gave me tips on how to use it.
