Cool place. The owner and his son treated my neighbor and myself with much respect and great customer service.

No asking for my side of the story, no asking what happened No asking for my side on what happened. I got accused of "theft" by the manager without As someone who has been going here for years, I am sad to see how far this store has declined in value. It used to be a place where they care about customers. Now, make one simple mistake, and they turn on you- without even the courtesy of asking WHY or WHAT HAPPENED. WTF?! I would not have felt the need to say anything if this woman just handled the situation differently than she did. All she had to do was ask "care to explain what happened?" and I would have told her my brain farted. What SHE said was "you stole. You looked at your hand, saw you had a gummy, and walked out anyway. "you knew what you were doing". NOT TRUE. I was having a mental health issue that day and no one bothered asking to see if I actually meant to take anything. Had they simply told me "hey, you forgot to pay" I would have gone back and paid in a heartbeat. Instead I get accused of theft without them even checking to see if their own theory is true or not. As someone who has been going here years, let me say this place is no longer a place I enjoy. This place has dropped in quality so much it is clear they are about profits over customers. Congratulations, you just lost one of your most loyal customers. This woman is a bitch.

This review is just to say this was amongst the best customer service I've recently experienced…read more Stopped by to get some butane for a lighter. I also needed some help with how to fill up my lighter (older model so was just different from what im used to). The staff was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Showed me how to do it while explaining the details, and filled it up for me for free, all while having some friendly banter. Bought a can as well and it was very fairly priced. Just overall great experience. Now while I was there I did look around and though it is a smaller space, it appeared as if they had an incredible selection of cigars. I will say, due to my experience with the staff for this simple task, I would definitely go here in the future if ever in the need and would recommend.

This place is really awesome. I plan on coming here maybe 2-3 times per year. That's mostly due to…read moremembership cost which is the only thing bad about this business. Most of the other cigar lounges have a membership cost of $15/year....here it's $50 PER MONTH!! The perk is you get 10% off of SOME cigars, not even all of them as you'll see a bunch of signs in the humidor that says "no discount on these." I'm only a casual smoker maybe one cigar every month or two, so that would mean I would pay $100 for each time I used the lounge if I got a membership...just not worth it unless you're coming in a couple times a week. In addition to the highest membership cost I've come across, their cigar prices are a bit elevated too. They seem to be about 10-20% higher across the board versus other local shops, this is noted in the reviews over some others from when this was locally owned K&S. However, their selection of cigars is absolutely amazing. Best selection around the triangle. Closest place with as many varieties is going to be JR's down in Selma. They have another membership level that I think they said was $120/month. You get access to a special lounge that's the size of a tiny office located to the right as you come in. They only sell 12 of these and currently 7 of the spots are taken. Not sure why you'd want to sit in a smaller lounge but some people I guess like to show off how much money they spend. The regular lounge is pretty superb. It used to be a State Farm office but Cigar Box took it over after buying K&S. In the past two weeks they have opened a fully stocked bar. I was able to get a double shot of Buffalo Trace for $24 and my buddy got a Guinness for $10. Both pre-tip of course...and that's what's funny since the bar and the cigar shop both use the same POS system, when I checked out with my cigars it automatically asked if I wanted to add a 25% tip. I wonder how often someone just hits yes out of habit? There were probably 12 guys hanging out when we were there and there was no lingering smoke. So this is another thing they've gotten right, perfect ventilation system. At some lounges it feels like you're hotboxing yourself but not here, clear air. The furniture is nice and comfy and spread out throughout. Plus seating at the bar. They have a few fake fireplaces for ambiance and several TVs to watch events. Total capacity is probably around 30 comfortably if the ventilation system keeps up. They have a nice restroom in the lounge but when we used it the toilet ran continuously and the flush handle didn't work so hopefully they address that soon. So my recommendation is if you're going to buy a few cigars get at least $25 worth and use the lounge that day. If you're not going to use the lounge go somewhere else and save a few bucks on your sticks, Apex Cigar lounge is really close. Apex also has an outdoor area which is great in Spring and Fall weather when temps are mild.

AWARENESS: While visiting my daughter a few ago and while…read moredriving in the Apex area, we decided to check out the Apex Cigar Lounge and I'm glad we did. NARRATIVE: The Apex Lounge sits at the corner and looks like someone's home from the outside. Once inside, you'll be greeted at the front desk and told about the lounge and how things work. Just behind the front desk is the humidor where they keep a large variety of smokes. Down the hall from the humidor are several smoking rooms with large TV's and plush leather chairs where you can relax and enjoy your smoke(s). Outside in the area of the lounge is a large, covered sitting area with another TV and lots of free roaming chickens keeping an eye on things. All in all, a very nice lounge to visit. SCENE: The Apex Cigar Lounge is located on North Salem Street just South of the 64 expressway. RECOMMENDATION(S): Worth a visit.

Do you love live chickens? Do you love snacks? Do you love these things while smoking cigars? If…read moreyou answered yes to any of those questions then this is the place for you! This is the best cigar lounge that I have found in a triangle and I think I've been to most of them at this point. I can't remember what the membership fee is but I think it's something like $5. Make sure when you buy cigars they look you up in the computer as it will track your purchases and if you want to get a stick that you bought before but can't remember it, they can look it up and help you. The location is absolutely beautiful, the house turned into a cigar lounge, the property with big trees, small buildings, fire pits, and of course a chicken coop. All these things give Apex Cigar Lounge a unique flair and experience. You enter the house via a large deck which has smoking areas setup. Once inside the cashier and humidor are to your left. The humidor is huge too, tons and tons of cigars from many different countries. After you check in and buy your smokes you can head across the hallway to the main lounge which has really classy leather chairs with tons of cutters, lighters, and ashtrays around. The ventilation system here is pretty good pulling most of the smoke out without being loud or overpowering. If you walk past the lounge and cashier down the hallway you'll find a cubby hidden with four big chairs by the windows...this is my favorite spot but it's almost always occupied. Past this spot is the restroom and the door to outback where you'll find a couple tables under a covered patio and a TON of rocking chairs. The chairs are my favorite thing about the outside area, aside from the chickens. They have a couple huge industrial fans that blow air around during the hot summer. Past this patio you'll walk into the back yard where there are several fire pits and the chicken coop. Go say hi to the ladies! If you're lucky they'll even let you feed them some treats. Behind the coop is a secondary yard full of tables and more fire pits. You could have your own bbq back there if you wanted. You can BYOB but no liquor, just beer. They do have a few drinks on site for sale along with soda and water. The parking lot seems deceptively small but the main lot is full, keep driving back down the gravel road and there's a huge secondary lot. They have dedicated motorcycle parking but I often find cars parked here. Oh and I forgot to mention the snacks. You can bring your own but often they have several containers full of Costco bar snacks sitting in the lounge, things like chocolate pretzels, croutons, occasionally mixed nuts or candy. The crowd is a bit more civilized than some other cigar lounges, *cough *cough Afterburners *cough *cough. They also stick to their posted business hours and won't close on you if you walk in 45 minutes before closing on a Friday and the place is empty. They will let you smoke up until the last minute and in my experience past that time as well. Five stars all around!
