I thought he was going to resolve this issue and apologize that I was unhappy. Unfortunately, he also said that I waited too long to contact them which was on Tuesday morning. My massage was Friday night. He mentioned that he contacted his legal department and they recommended that I get another massage from a different therapist and pay for it at a discounted rate. There is no way that I am going to give any more money for a massage when I was definitely cheated out of the one that I paid for. I will be going online to the Massage board website to report this as well as the therapist who performed my horrible massage.

He has helped us not only with the general aches and pains of growing older, and day to day life, but he's helped us through lots of injuries too. From when my daughter was quite young and had gymnastics injuries to old rugby injuries my husband still carries with him. He helped more than the PT in releasing my frozen shoulder, and then later after shoulder surgery, he helped to get me back to 100% pain-free full mobility. I called on a weekend desperate for an appointment and the owner picked up and arranged for me to get in asap all while she was helping her daughter move into her college dorms. Then Patty, the massage therapist I was connected with, texted me to arrange a time that worked for both of us and was even kind of enough to let me know she had gotten there earlier than we had scheduled so I was welcome to come in early. I don't know about you but no chain has ever treated me that well. Patty is magical. I went to her with pain in my forearm and soreness in my back and she worked on me for the full 90 minutes (not docking me for 10 minutes to dress and 10 minutes to get on the table like so many of the chains do). She didn't try to upsell me anything (hot stones, supplements, etc.) and gave me truly helpful advice and anecdotes on what to do to help me stay out of pain. I've already referred two additional people to HOA and plan on going back asap! Also, if you have good insurance, definitely check with them for reimbursement as HOA is a medical massage facility. They stay open until 10pm even on Sundays which is great and which is when I went. They weren't too busy and didn't require an appointment. Parking is not plentiful and is in a shared area with 3 other businesses, one being a gas station. Walk-ins are welcome. I waited for about 20 minutes before my massage could start. I got the 1 hour package for $47 which was 40 minutes on feet and the other 30 minutes a combination of back, arm, neck massage. I was in a room with 4 chairs that can also lay flat. I've had several massages during my life, but remember this one because it was very disappointing. My main ask was for a LOT of pressure and got barely any. I stated this on the phone when making the appointment, before the massage started, and during it as well. She talked SO much through the entire massage, that it was not relaxing at all, but actually stressful. The next time there was a pause and I was able to get a word in, I politely asked Rae (again!) for more pressure, and she snapped in a defensive tone that she was building up to it, but it never did happen and then the massage was over a few minutes later and I was thinking, "was that it?" I could have had better massage at one of those chairs in the mall! Spouse expressed similar sentiment, even without having other massage to compare. It's a shame, really -- I mean, we have a fair amount of geekiness ourselves and it is fairly close by, so we really wanted to like them and make it a regular go-to thing.
