AVOID this company at all cost!!! This is no joke. What's the worst experience you've ever had dealing with an internet provider? I promise, it will be better than dealing with GigaMonster. I thought, they can't be worse than my only other option, Comcast. Comcast leverages their size to engage in horrendous business practices. But at least Comcast employees have always been nice and when Comcast has outages, they address them reasonably quickly. GigaMonster fails at these basic business functions. Every support person I spoke to, during this current five hour outage and counting, has been dismissive or even rude. And all the BBB complaints seem to corroborate this experience. If you think they have cheap prices, it is for a reason. They obviously don't spend any money on customer service nor maintainable infrastructure. I'm very upset of how things are going with Giga Monster. As a first time Customer I was expecting my experience to be comparable to my previous internet providers that I used before. Unfortunately first impressions are permanent and are there to last. When I called customer service today and spoke to DANNY about not having internet since morning, I was I formed that there is an outage in my area and they are working on it but didn't give me an exact time or expectations to when is it coming back! So I proceeded and asked him other account related issues since I'm already on the phone with him and it's impossible to get a hold of someone on the phone. And I asked him about when should I expect a bill to be sent to me ? Since I haven't received any since the date of installation. And to my shock I was told that there was a bill that was issued on the same day of installation dated (06/08/2021) which I was never informed about when i was on the phone with Marco ( agent who set up the account) I have called GIGA MONSTER at least 12 times since the time of my internet was installed. I had so many problems with my internet and frequent outages that i have to call them that frequently!!! Next thing I know that I was misinformed about how I was supposed to pay a bill upfront!!! Why was that information never conveyed to me??? And why Marco refused to take any payments on the day of my internet installation date? It's a stupid amount of $21 that is now a past due balance because of MARCO. it's past due because of the lack of information and bad service that i had over the phone which was the only way to set up an account with this company!!! This Internet provider is by far the worst and would never recommend to anyone: No customer service, internet unreliable, misinformation when speaking to agents, frequent outages, unreliable Technical support..... and the list goes on and on. read more

I could not think of a worse internet provider to use. They proclaim they have fast internet but regularly throttle you throughout the day, leaving you in a position to drop off important conference calls. When asked to come out, their service staff are not properly trained. They make deals with large developers to have the rights to the Telecom chase, and then annoy all the tenants. In addition, they do not how to bill and will not acknowledge past paid invoices. If you ask to speak to a manager, they will tell you someone will call and that person never does. My telephone lines went down last week and I can not get through on the 1844 number to get a hold of anyone! WHY? Each time I call your tech(s) hang up on me! Why? Terrible across the board. I have been trying to contact them since Wednesday at noon, I was just able to reach them Saturday afternoon. I was able to increase my speeds but they recommended a faster modem. I bought the faster modem (best available, arris). Now it doesn't connect to their system and they can't help because the guy who handles that is not working today or during the weekend. 17 years as a broadband tech. Currently a field tech working an a metro ethernet fiber ring. Hate to poor mouth any company.. But ive tried and tried with this company. Moved into an apt Late August of 22. Its now end of November. Im a gamer. My 14 year old games. My wife games. And weve had to quit playing online multiplayer games bc of how awful the connection is latency wise. Ive tried and tried to get someone to take ownership of this issue and fix it. But no one will. They are my only provider. My sole option. And it ss sad how little they care. Sad how no one has the ability to empathize or apply the golden rule. Im not expecting 1ms ping. Id be good with 50-60 ms ping if it was stable. My guess is too little bandwidth for the complex. The single node is overwhelmed. But splitting thr node has an upfront cost. Its fairly nominal. Especially over the long run and especially for what it would do to improve the connection. More bandwidth cost $ as well. So i guess thats out too. The literal worst 0/5 Internet is their only service and it does NOT work. When I setup, I had a modem already, which saved me from paying them a monthly fee to rent their modem. Then I moved and cancelled the service and they said "return our modem." It's my modem that I already had from a pervious apartment. We went back and forth -- me trying to prove that the modem is mine and not theirs -- communication stops so I think that's the end of it. Turns out they ruined my credit score for 3+ years because they sent me to collections OVER A MODEM THAT WASN'T THEIRS TO BEGIN WITH. Absolute nightmare of a service, nightmare of a company. AVIOD!!! This service provider was chosen for us by our apartment complex, probably because it was the cheapest. I work from home and for the first three weeks that I lived here, there was no internet service. They had to come by multiple times to fix it. There's no chat available, so you have to call them if there's a problem. The service goes down pretty much any time it rains. Most recently, I've lost service and when I try to reconnect to gigamonster, I'm told that I have the wrong password. I've never changed my password. If you're considering using them, run. Inconsistent, trash service that is most likely gonna be forced on you by your apartment building. I tried to pay for 1Gbps speed and they are straight up not giving it to me despite technically paying for it twice because of a glitch that they won't refund me for. And I'm sure they will say "oh it varies based on traffic" or whatever. But I'm getting the exact same speeds I was getting on the base tier. I can check at 5am and I'm gonna get the same exact speeds I get on the base tier. They say it comes with cable as well, but it isn't working either and after calling twice about it I've decided not to even bother anymore. The customer service people are fine if you can get one on the line (which randomly ranges from impossible to instant which is baffling) but odds are they won't know what's going on because they are just the people in the middle trying to transfer communication between some unknown number of people or systems. This business has presented itself as nothing short of being an outright scam offering a fraction of what I suspect while blocking off any option of having something different. Try to set up internet with this provider, after setting up an appointment they never showed up. I called and they told me I was Scheduled for slot 3-6 not for the 12-3. Which whatever stuff happens right. So I told them that was a time frame that wasn't going to work. And that I needed to reschedule it. So two days later I am scheduled for 12-3. 3 pm rolls around and nothing so I call them. And they tell me that I was actually scheduled for the 3-6 and that they are in route and on there way. 6pm rolls around and they never came. A complete waste of my time. When I first signed up, wifi didn't work for WEEKS and they refused to bring someone to my apartment to fix it. The worst service I've had since dial up. Literally....You would figure that @150 MBPS would be enough to stream without issues. But with GigaMonster, it's in and out constantly. Not only very laggy, choppy to watch things on Apps like Disney+ and Paramount +, but it completely shuts down in consistent but random intervals. The worst part is the apartments, The Grand @Manor forces you to pay for this service when you sign a lease. Which is $60/month. I don't mind that price at all for decent internet so it wasn't an issue at first. Until I found that it's the worst Wifi I can remember having. Don't sign up with The Grand@ Manor. They don't care about residents once you sign. I promise you that if you have any expectations, they will fail to meet them. Second, I would never willingly sign up or pay for GigaMonster unless you have very low standards. Sure, you can sign up for 1GBPS DL speed for another $50/month.
