Just OK. Toys seem old and dirty, the structure playscapes are fairly boring compared to other indoor play places (MajestKids/Stomping Grounds). It is a pricier option ($10 compared to $8 at the other places) and I'm not sure why. My kiddos were bored within an hour but can last up to 3 at the other places. Staff is unfriendly and generally on their phones the whole time. Overall, we won't be back until summer when we are dying for air conditioning play. Is a nice cozy place for kids, highly recommend for toddlers not much for grown kids (+3). To be honest we expected much more fun, don't take me wrong it does have a lot of variety for playing, but all this toys kids can find them at home, public libraries, story times around town, children's museum, etc. We expected more playground area, taller slides, swings, maze, moon walking, cars for kids to ride; things hard to find somewhere else. There are more places like this around this area, so I don't think we'll coming back. read more

Had my daughter's 2nd birthday party there this past weekend. I booked the place for the party, never having been there before. So as expected I was worried and kept hoping the place would not be a tiny smelly cramped play area. I was totally surprised at how nice the place is. The exterior of the building does not say much about how fun the place inside is. The kids had a great time. Lots of different stations and play areas to keep the kids entertained. As the place was reserved only for our party, there were no outsiders and our guests could relax not having to constantly run behind their kids. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only con that I can say is the size of the party room. The party room felt a little too cramped with around 12 kids and around 20 parents in there. All in all a great place to have a birthday party for kids aged 1 - 6 years old. read more

Happy to say the manager was very sweet when I spoke to her and extended our membership for the days they were closed due to the mix up! Still coming to giggles very often, my boss also loves to bring the kiddos on the open play Saturday's!!! So I called giggles and fun (for my nanny kids) and asked if due to the flooding in Houston would it be possible to extend the membership that was purchased. Not sure who I spoke to first but she asked her manager (Jaylon) and I was told "yes that can be done but you would have to come in and have it done" I said ok and changed plans to head to giggles. I get there and the girl tells me I have to purchase it , I asked who talked to me on the phone and the girl comes up and starts saying how she meant I had to buy another one, I said well that's not what you said on the phone and she said oh that's my bad I'm sorry. Literally came for nothing .... I called first for a reason , I then ask for information to speak to the owner , and immediately told by both girls we can't give you her name or anything!! Oh wow so you can't to speak to anyone when told wrongly, I left my number and name to receive a call, now let's see if that actually happens!! I found it funny that at the door is a sign posted saying #HoustonStrong but yet a flood happened and a membership wasn't able to be used and the first thing this business does is tell you one thing and then reaches its hand out for money!!! read more

Went above and beyond to make sure i could get my coffee and enjoy it before going back to picnic area to watch my son. Her greetings were warm and sweet. I completely understand why she left. The owner has a horrible attitude and made her job much more difficult. The owner is extremely rude to staff and belittles them. The toys are okay, already a washed out layout. Parties are much too expensive. Parking is horrible. Business is in a ghetto shed. Extremely pricey for what it is. Owner does not appear to care about anything but money. They should call this place giggles with no fun. I went there on weekday morning with my 21months old son. at the front there's an unfriendly lady who checks you in to the play area with a ton of a military instructions. The toys needs to stay in the area where they belong??!!!!!! Seriously what kind of playground is this? the most of the customers have 2years and under. They don't understand this kind of instructions....they are TODLLERS What is the point of bringing my child there if is going to cry over stuff all the time because anywhere he moves I have to take away the toys from his hands!!! Our Kiddo LOVES giggles and fun. LOVES it, but it is pricey for limited hours. Today we were told they would close 1 hr early to allow a school to come in (there were only 3 of us there). I was disappointed that we were asked to leave 1 hr early after we had finally figured out how to get our 18 mos old up earlier with nap time.... I think this is hands down the best children's play place in the city of Houston. There are so many fun things to do here for 6 month old to 6 year old. I love all of the individual themed rooms, wide open space to run around, and even circular drive around the inside area to ride trikes, etc. They play fun music and have large picnic table area for the mom's to hang out. The price is cheaper at other facilities because the other places don't have much for a non-walker to enjoy. Giggles and fun has plenty of things for my 8 month old to enjoy so it's worth the cost. Take your child to the discovery center or children's museum. Went there for the first time today and took my infant along to practice her crawling skills in a safe environment. Do not do it! She was constantly getting trampled on by the bigger kids that I had to keep watching out for, and other adults were just sitting in the baby play area (under 2) drinking there tea/coffee. (Which is not safe as well being it's hot) i had to go to the front to complain twice to see if they could do anything about it. I asked if I could get a refund or come back another day and get a voucher as my child was unable to take advantage of the baby play area, which was declined. The area for kids under 2 is small as it is, but with 5 grown adults sitting talking and drinking their coffee with big kids coming in and doing flips was a big no. The last at the front just have me a card that said 2 dollars of my next visit. That is not customer service. Wasted the 10 bucks but o well. Would not recommend this place to anyone. I was really hoping that it would be a place a I could start bringing my little girl to, but after the bad vibe and staff, I'll just take my business elsewhere. read more

By the way, the inquiry was about whether or not they would be open on a school holiday. They ended up being open, but wanna guess if we ended up going?? Nope. My kids really like it here but the staff is so ornery and rude. They have a strict 'keep the toys in their assigned area' policy and the staff is crazy about enforcing it. I understand wanting the place to stay tidy, but at $12 a pop, I think my kids should have a bit of freedom to play around. Today one worker took a toy that was sitting beside my kid out of the room. She told another mother there that the kids weren't listening and kept taking it out of the right area, but she never said anything to me or my daughter about it. I get where they're coming from, but the girls who worked there today were rude and super condescending. If you want the place to stay immaculate, then don't let kids in. I love this place. More importantly my son loves this place. He had his 5th birthday party here in July. The staff was friendly and more than accommodating. Best value for a kids venue. The facility offers a lot of original fun entertainment options for the kids. I love that the staff is actively involved and engaged in the play area. They go the extra mile to make sure your kids are safe. I appreciate the staff reminding parents and kids of the safety rules. Considering this is a facility for 6 and under; it's great to see safety is a top priority. As for the other reviews about the requirement of socks being an issue. Most if not ALL indoor play gyms require socks. It is silly that one would think otherwise as it is very clear on their website that socks are required. Additionally if you arrive at any facility and overlook a sock requirement you purchase some or run to a store next door and get some. It is not up to that business to make an exception for you at the safety and cleanness of the facility for one. This is a facility for small kids and if your kids were anything like my son at a young age (always putting his hands in his mouth) it is great they value a hygienic facility. Overall great place! My 3 and 1yo loved this place! It is under new management and they have done a fantastic job. They added a huge jungle gym in the middle- big slides, soccer area, climbing wall, ball pit. It was pretty crowded (we were there 9:30-11:30 on a Wednesday) but that's probably because Katy is lacking great places like this for young kids. I talked with one of the managers and she was so sweet and accommodating. We will definitely be back! read more

I had read the other reviews before we went, so I was expecting the worst and we had a great time!! The price wasn't outrageous or more than the children's museum or other young kid activities. My kids enjoyed all the activities, the under 2 area was perfect for my 10 month old and we liked how open it all was so that I could see my kids while they were in different sections. Wow, I can't believe that a new business would cut out all working parent families from being able to try their facility out AND I don't know who in their right mind would pay a small fortune for a party to be held here. Why not cut the cost of a party package and stay open for the public? I think the price to play is too much. $8 for 1 year or younger? Most places under a year are FREE because they aren't able to fully experience the place. I love the concept of what is trying to be achieved and my suggestion is for the owners to go to different children's museums and research their prices, packages and policies. My 2 year old is in love with Giggles and Fun!! We went for the first time over the holidays and she has been asking to go back ever since! We had the opportunity to go recently again and she enjoyed playing in each section they have. Her favorite was the little dress up boutique! I really enjoy that it isn't super packed like some other kids places tend to get. She loves this place and we will be going back soon on the next Saturday open play! While we do enjoy G&F, there are a couple of things that aren't perfect. First, parking is pretty scarce. Not a huge huge deal but still a little inconvenient to have to park around the corner lot. Also, wish their hours were more working parent friendly. Going during the week is not doable for working parents and most Saturday's are reserved for parties. Anyway to add a Sunday? And extend open play hours on weekend? Closing at 1 is a bit early. read more

I went to the new Giggles and Fun in Katy today. I would like to give my review as my experience was horrible. I had bought the groupon they had for 3 visits for $15. First they are located within a business/ industrial area. They have 4 parking spots in front of their business. You have to drive around the business complex to find a parking spot which is more than likely going to be in front of another business and I am sure after a while the owners of those businesses are going to complain. There was one lady working the desk when we got inside and there were at least 10 moms standing in the small reception area. She was helping one of the other moms and that is when I overheard her say she had to pay tax on her coupon. When she was done helping that mom she asked everyone had they signed a waiver, uh of course we haven't signed a waiver you are the only one working in here and obviously you haven't informed us nor handed out waiver forms. At that time I asked her did I have to pay tax on my groupon. She told me Yes that there is nothing in the State of Texas that is tax free. I was thinking to myself is this lady serious. I asked her could I pay on a future visit as I was unaware there was any tax and she said absolutely not that they don't do that. I told her because of the ridiculous parking situation that I didn't want to walk back out to my car for what was less than 2 bucks. I told her I was going to leave and she would not get my business in the future. She didn't seem to mind. I called after I got back home and asked to speak to the manager, the lady that answered the phone told me she was out to lunch. My husband then called 5 minutes later and asked for the manager because he was interested in booking a party and the manager shows up all of a sudden. I waited about an hour and called back and asked to speak to the owner and I was told that they were not sure who the owner was. My husband then called and asked for the owner and they hung the phone up on him. I do not recommend this place at all they are rude and lack customer service and the location and parking is in no way child friendly or geared towards moms and families. read more

Well I guess there is two sides of every story, yes my child was not asked to live in her face but, when somebody tells you that your child cannot play there what do you understand by that? First of all there was no politeness on the way it was done, I was called off in front of everybody in the front desk and only pulled aside by the owner when the other mothers there look at us, specially to that person telling me My child could not play there!!! Second, yes I was not monitoring my child at the time because I thought it was ok to let them in while I was trying to pay and there were other people in front of me so I did let my twins unattended for a while but, it does not mean I was not going to watch over my children, especially based on the first experience we had. Second, since I have twins it is really difficult for me to be with both of them at the SAME TIME, how can I leave the child that does not have autism unattended and just deal with the one that has special needs. Third, I asked even if I promised I was going be in in my daughter's shadow I was not even given a chance to try because the owner told me "I think it's not going to work out it's better if you leave" Fourth, to say that I did not monitored my child at the first time is very insensitive because I explained her condition, it was our first time there, I was with two kids in a limited staffed big place, only 2 at that time. Not to mention, that I felt my child was being discriminated when I was told that she doesn't play like a "Normal child" She did open the door several times, that is not ok I understand, she did jump from a fence like other NORMAL kids were doing and, my words were completely taken out of context when she did try to jump from the top of a playground but, not in a harmful way to anybody just maybe to herself and, I mentioned to somebody there that it was ok that she is in gymnastics and that was a good way for her to learn. Anyway, I thought that's why we sign a release paper there like in many other places. You be the judge!!! Where do I begin....I had done a lot of research of where to have my daughter's birthday party. I went to several venues, and chose Giggles and Fun because I thought the indoor "town-looking" park was super cute. The rooms were a little smaller, but I felt like I could make do. The whole 15 minutes to prep policy is ridiculous. Fortunately, one of the girls that was helping me was incredibly helpful, (I can't remember her name, but I know she was the only Hispanic one), along with the guy that was assigned to assist me with my party. I got the party package that cost 375.00, which included 1 hour of playtime and 45 min inside the room. If you are looking into booking this venue, let me just advise you to get more time!!! It was definitely not enough time. On top of that, the owner of the place has a policy where none of the kids can be at the play area during the 45 min "room-time". This is ridiculous. The whole point of paying to have your party at a venue is to take advantage of the play area and have the kids make the most of the amenities. I understand that all places have rules, but this is a children's venue, and children's parties are held here, some level of flexibility should be employed. The owner was extremely rude to my guests, including the children. Some of my guests literally told me that they heard her yelling at the kids...as well as the employees. UN-ACCEPTABLE! I honestly don't know why she has a kid's business establishment. On top of all of this... they were having a special where we would get 2 pizzas with our package that never arrived. They never even told me that we weren't going to get them...but they sure were quick to move the kids from the play area to the room... The girl at the entrance told me they were going to give me a 30 day free membership for the troubles...even though that was already offered with the package. Thankfully we had enough food and were not counting on these pizzas to feed our guests. She did mark off the cost of the pizzas from my total...which was ok. As we were packing up all of my decorations and party supplies the girl from the entrance kept waving the receipt at me asking if I was going to take care of the bill.... I understand that the sock policy is enforced to avoid germs and keeping the place well sanitized. We were at the room that is inside the play area, and several of my adult guests mentioned how she was giving them bad looks for walking from the entrance to the room my party was being held, which is probably 2 feet from the station where people take their shoes off. One of my guests was told she had to purchase socks from the place to be able to step into the room...Really??? This is just to show how inflexible and ridiculous these people are... To top everything off...even though they took forever to notify me that the pizzas were delayed...at 4:20 they started to rush me out because they had another party right after mine....Even though my party ended at 4:45 and they only gave me 15 min to prep. I usually spend a lot of time and money on decorations for my daughter's party and the way they treated me and my guests was devastating. A lot of my guests mentioned they would never go back there. I would not recommend having your party at Giggles and Fun. The place is cute...but save yourself some trouble and take your money elsewhere...you can probably get more from your money at a different establishment anyway. read more

I found it funny that the first rule listed on their website was socks are required with no exceptions, yet the video that they posted has all these kids without socks. We went here for a 2-hour birthday party. My 3 and 1-year old daughters loved the hour of playtime before lunch and cake. However, I did not realize we were not allowed back in the play area for the 2nd hour. And rather than come tell me this, a young woman, who was behind the counter putting on make-up, decided to yell across the room that we couldn't be there. That the area was closed. That the allotted paid birthday party playtime was over. I think this could have been handled better. And try telling a bunch of sugared up toddlers that they can't go back and play. read more

Party was at 4 and at 3:58 they wouldn't let us in because it wasn't time. This is supposed to be a play place but there are so many rules with negatives. I absolutely love this place. It is a fantastic play place for your little ones. I have a 4 year old and she has a blast here. I love how there are not any older children to push around younger ones. This place is fun for kids of all ages and it has an area designed for 2 and under which makes it easy for me and other parents to bring all kids to one spot. Service is really good but it could be improved a little by keeping their areas as clean as possible instead of talking all the time. Monday was my third time going and this is the second time that both ladies there talked for most of the time we were there. Also, the lighting. I understand it is a warehouse and the owner has tried her best to make it look nice but something has to be done. The lighting gives it a dark and gloomy look. My friends like to join me here for play date with the children to play in the playground. Today we found out the hours have changed and will be closing sooner at 4. I am so thankful for the girl at the front desk who was so curtious and helpful with me and my children. The girl listened to my friends and helped them the best way she could. I have been going to giggles and fun since they opened the doors. I loved the fact that its designed for kids under 6 years old. We had the experience that in other play places older kids run over smaller kids and babies and play rough. My daughter is always afraid off rough play. It looks that the place is well thought, it is the playroom that I would love to have for my kids. My 3 year old daughter has always a blast trying skirts and hats in the beauty shop, and my baby enjoy the under 2 soft area. The owner was welcoming and asked for my feed back after our first visit. I had noticed that in one of the slides kids bump a little hard with the floor, I told her and the next time we went the problem was addressed. Is always nice to meet a mom entrepreneur that loves what she is doing and believes in it. This is a new business and the owner is a mom and I have had the opportunity to talk to her in our visits, she is nice, welcoming and always willing to listen.
