But the mngr., Mark invited her in. (There was nobody else in the store; I would NEVER presume. I wouldn't even come to the door and ask to bring my dog inside since that's kinda manipulative.) We had a lovely short visit while hubby raved about the breed ~ Alaskan Klee Kai. Yes, I was nonplussed when employees didn't want to open door at 2:55 on a Sat a couple of weeks ago. (I knew the time. I knew it was close: I would never browse and shop close to closing time. I was there to drop off several watches for new batteries.) My experience today has completely restored my confidence and patronage of this business. Businesses are about relationships. I love that they get this and demonstrate this. BTW ~ I did peak ~ great inventory! Can't wait for reason to shop here ~ a lot! I'll arrive on a late morning and allow for lots of time to choose pretty things.

Free parking is right next to Lucky Gift Shop, very convenient. I was super duper excited that NE finally got a Asian/Chinese gift shop. They are the best when it comes to one of a kind plushies, keychains, a little of everything etc..... Of course worst for my wallet lol. I just want to lay my hands on everything. Their plushies are definitely very soft and cute. First I saw some Avengers coin bank, I thought they look too adorable to pass by, so I quickly grab 2. Found out their inventory are very limited, don't know when is the next time those will be back in stock. They were running a promotion where you spend certain $$ and you will get gift with purchase. I want the free sets of bowls. So I went back and pick up the cat mini humidifier, absolutely adorable. I think Lucky is still in the midst of adding more products, hope the next time I go, more will be on display!

Guy asked me my age when I tried to buy my first bong (these days it's okay to use that term), and I lied because I was underage. Then he asks my birthdate, and I get the year wrong. He's good at math and realizes I'm lying. DENIED! Had to have my mother go in for me and buy the bong. After that first experience, I never liked the place. It was easier to buy weed (another term that's fine to use nowadays) than it was to buy from there. Also, like many other people noticed, they were expensive. With the environment around marijuana these days and remembering my experiences there, their policies and attitudes seem even stupider. But I do understand why they had to be that way after reading the news article about their closing and the busts. For me, it was a place to avoid if possible. Good riddance!
