My friend and I came to this salon on New Years Eve to get manicures. I asked for a dip powder and I wanted glitter. Unfortunately they had a very limited selection of dip powders. When I asked for a glitter design they said they would to put a glitter gel top coat on top of the dip powder. The nail technician didn't properly cover my nails even though she dipped my nails in the powder 3 times. I asked her to fix them but they didn't look fully covered. The dip power ended up very thick with parts of my cuticle exposed. Then she added a glitter gel on top. ONLY 3 HOURS after leaving the salon the gel already started to lift and peel off. I haven't had the nails for 24 hours and almost each nail with the gel is peeling. My nails looked messed up and not worth the $55 I paid. The technicians were really nice but it didn't seem like they knew what they were doing or they were rushing to get home for New Years. I would not go to this place if you want dip powder or a design done. read more

The place is always very busy. I just don't understand why. For pedicures, if you don't get the callus remover, they don't even bother cleaning the rough skin off your feet. They use some ridiculously small peace of fake loofah, for 10 seconds on each foot. Massage is about 10 seconds as well. The manicures are so rushed that I get cuticle issues the very next day after. They don't take any time to file properly. No shoulder massage while you dry your nails. And again the massage is about 10 seconds long... Manicures and pedicures are about getting pampered. I tried this place several times because it's a walking distance from my home. However, I always leave unsatisfied. I don't think I will come back. read more

I went into Gigi nails today for the first time in a long time .I will never go back the place was FILTHY . I was really shocked I went into to get waxed and the room where they do the waxing was dirty . The table was dirty the floor it was just gross . I had a .​pedicure that was absolutely horrible and when I tipped her 5.00 despite it being bad she yelled at didn't tip her enough. She demanded more! Really would recommend going to ANY other nail salon instead of this one. Totally mediocre and the ladies there are just in a hurry to get done and get you out. I was told multiple times while I was still getting my nails done that I need to tip. This place is the WORST!! I went to get a gel manicure and the lady rushed and did a bad job so I did not tip. I just paid for my service and left. There are 2 guys who work there (older and younger guy). As I'm walking to my car the younger guy ran after me and told me I forgot to tip....I was embarrassed and shocked that he came after me. I pulled out $2 (only cash I had) and he said it wasn't enough! I said I didn't like the service and tip was not obligated it's optional....I asked for my $2 back and he refused and kept it and told me not to come back there again and I won't be. There is a custom to do your nails before Mikveh and pay for the service which includes coming back the next day for color. I have patronized this salon for over a dozen years. Today when I went in for my polish Gavin announced loudly embarrassing me in front of a store full of customers. "No receipt no polish "". I know you paid but you people have to follow my rules. I was silent. Stupified. When he finally seated me he started announcing again very loudly. .no receipt no polish ". Needless to say at that point I got up and left the store. I got a gel manicure here and after tipping the manicurist, she yelled something in another language to the manager who told me that I did not tip enough. I found this extremely unprofessional and rude. As a customer I have a right to tip however much I feel the provider deserves. Tips are not part of the price and while accepting a service does obligate you to pay for it, it does not obligate you to give an 18% tip. I will not be returning. If you think your employees deserve more, then pay them more. It is not my problem to supplement their pay when they do a bad job. read more

Will Never return, overrated. The location is clean, but the staff asks inappropriate questions and management is unprofessional. Prices are reasonable but no different than other Nail Salons. Gigi nails has nothing but phenomenal costumer service. The owner used to have a nail salon closer to my house but then re-opened another shop in Cedarhurst. I travel 15-20 minutes just to come to this nail salon! Prices are fantastic and fair, and most importantly, customer service is unexplainable. The owners genuinely care about clients and make you feel at home with every visit! As I said earlier- you can't beat the prices here either! read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I came in this morning for a soak off of my acrylic nails. since my usual nail place (Tina's in Hewlett) wasn't open and since I've been here before when I used to live on Central Ave I decided why not? The guy just left me sitting soaking my hands in a bowl and didn't come to check up on me not once. He made someone else come at the very end to take off what was left. She didn't care that there was still some of the acrylics left on my fingers and once she finished filing she said "okay done" meanwhile I still had glue of the acrylic all over my hands and my hands became very dry because of the acetone. At Tina's a soak off is $5 and they moisturize , dry , cut AND file your nails so that you leave with clean and cut nails. I left with acrylic still in some spots no cut of the nails so they're uneven and glue all over my hands and their soak off is $10. Ridiculous and disappointed. I do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I go here often and it's hit or miss. Either I love my nails and they don't cut my cuticles off or I come out with nails that still need another coat and pieces coming it of the sides of my nails. They have a lot of colors and are pretty cheap. I'm giving it three stars for all the times I came out liking my nails despite a few one star experiences. read more
