i was getting my nails done and so far everything was good. i loved how my nails turned out it was exactly what i wanted. when they told me the price when i was laying it seemed a little weird but i didn't say anything and then when i gave them my tip ($5) they yelled at me that i need to give more! i gave them ($7) instead but they said i need to give at least $15!! i think that this salon does really good job on nails but its disgusting with the money. they make up stories to get as much money as they can get read more

I always talk so highly of this place until today.... I went in for regular pedicure, woman who did my pedicure had an attitude,, I was told 25 for pedicure. I told her I have a toe nail that broke can you please put alittle glue on top and she put glue them goes and puts dip powder on my toe and doesn't tell me she's adding $5 more to my bill. I had to ask if it was extra charge, which it was and I didn't ask for powder so to do that and then not tell me your charging me is crazy. I don't know if I will be returning because they are ridiculous with how they try to upcharge. Then she gave me a half ass pedicure just bc I didn't get a spa one. I have given this salon multiple chances because I received referrals. My last visit was 8 days ago. I got tips with design, pedicure and eyebrows waxed on a Friday evening. I wasn't impressed with the design, I let Wendy know, she didn't care. A quick pedicure, a horrible eye brows waxed. My main complaint is the tips only last 4 days , I was irate. First it started with the index fingers on both sides then middle fingers. Wtf!!! I wasn't able to go back right away to inform the manager about the poor performance I received from the staffs. I went back Saturday, I spoke with a tall skinny Asian man , who didn't comprehend my complaint. They lost me and I will be informing my friends, this place only provide Good service to Jews. I came here because my usual nail lady at another place was sick. I asked for ombre inspired design with powder gel knowing it would be hard to do. However, they said "no problem! We can do it!" As soon as the lady started, she was rushing to get me out of the door and worked carelessly. My nails looked horrendous. Even the ones with solid color had powder all around my nail beds. I came home and my 12 year old sister was laughing at me!! I came back 1 hour later, argued for a partial refund, and got it, so I guess I had more luck than the other reviewers here. However, one of the ladies started yelling at me and told me to call the police if I have a problem?? I strongly urge whoever considers coming here to LISTEN to the poor reviews. My daughter and I have been using this place for a year, mostly because of convenient location, and because they do powder gel. It really depends on the technician how well your nails turn out. STAY AWAY. These people will lie to you to get the most money they can out of you when you're actually there in person. I called and asked how much would 2 pedicures be they said it would be $25 each but when I get there they were trying to upcharge me and somehow it came out to $98. Plus they forced me to leave a $15 tip minimum! And on top of everything they didn't even have acrylic for my wife's pedicure after saying they did before we paid. The One? They should call it, The Worst. I came in the get a mani/pedi with my sisters. I was seated in a pedicure chair and I sat there for about 20 minutes waiting for a technician. The least they could do was put on the water so my feet could soak while I wait. I finally get attended to and it's a whole ass process and an extra $5 to take off my gel polish, which wasn't even fully removed! I was so unsatisfied that I decided not to get a manicure because I'm sure I'll be disappointed with that as well. After what seemed like a million years, she fills the water up. I was feeling hopeful and thought I can look forward to the rest of the pedicure. I stick my feet in the water and of course this would happen to me, it's cold. Fast forward and the polish is on. Metallic nails are tricky to master so I understand somewhat why it looks like shit. She gave me a 2-3 minute massage and the check. I give her my card and she has the dumbest look on her face. Another lady has to come over and ask if I'm going to tip cash or on the card. What? Why are you assuming that after the horrible service you provided, I'll be giving you a tip? Here's a tip - don't hover when a customer is signing the receipt. So rude and invasive! The place looks clean and the music is relaxing. However, they don't clean or sterilize their equipment so I hope I don't get an infection. On the bright side, they did offer other services such as callus remover and leg waxing. If i can give 0 stars, i would, because this nail place is terrible. I sent my 12 year old daughter in with her friend for a full tip set with gel polish. They removed my daughters friends tips, even though she only asked for a fill in. Then proceeded to do my daughters nails, which are shaped horribly. Some square, some coffin. My daughter was charged $70. They charged her an extra $5 to cut her cuticles? Is that not included when getting a full set? She tipped $5 and the lady turned to her co-worker next to her and said "oh only kid it's okay". Maybe she would have tipped more had you given her what she asked for !! They also harassed them to get massages after they both said NO. NEVER AGAIN. read more

When going to this nail salon they expect 15% gratuity. I could be wrong but I did not see any notices about that required amount for tip. I tipped the woman what I felt was fair and in Chinese she told the manager how much I tipped her. The manager then told me I did not tip enough and that I should tip her more. I explained to her that gratuity is based on what the customer wants to give and that from all the nail salons in that area this was the only place that was upset with my tip. She then pushed me to tip more which I reluctantly did out of pressure. There were a few other situations where I overheard customers not being happy with the lack of information for what they were charged. The language barrier doesn't help things. I walked in for a wax. They said they can do it right away which was wonderful. Now that I've gotten home I see that they've missed a lot of spots. I stopped by this salon almost a year and half ago while spending the weekend in Long Island and was incredibly happy with my experience. So much - that I come at least twice a month when I'm in the area from manhattan to get my nails done! The service is great! Everyone is polite, and the salon is always clean and smells good. The salon is newly renovated with an adjoining full service foot spa. Workers are friendly & generally skilled, but the workers barely speak or understand English, so there is a disconnect in understanding the clients' desires. After two years of coming here I am officially moving on. For two years I have always call every other week to make my an appointment with Angel. I would constantly refer anyone and everyone to this salon because of the WORK that Angel and Gloria have done. This week was no different I came in and got my toes done but instead of being accommodated with my usual nail Tech I was told that someone else would do my hands because it was going to be too late for Angel to do them. I understood this and was willing to allow someone else to do my manicure. I know I speak for everyone when I say that some of the things you expect when getting your nails done is relaxation, knowledge and patients. My entire nail appointment consisted of me explaining in many different ways how I like my nails shaped. Not only are all my nails all different versions of a coffin shape but the clear coat for the SNS powder is clumpy. When I approach the owner Wendy at the end to let her know I was upset she didn't seem to care too much and proceeded to talk to her husband and told me that the person that was a walk in had an appointment for 6:30 with Angel. The owners always have an attitude and they don't keep good track of appointments. It's rare that my name is ever taken down but for me to be such a loyal costumer and to be treated in such a way. I've had enough. Currently on the search of a new nail tech and I'm completely destroyed that I can't have Angel continue to make me happy every other week. read more

Ok so here's the real deal! I never write reviews but this salon needs to be exposed. I've been coming for three years and have been addicted to the work they do even now that I'm so turned off. Wendy is the owner and when she took this dying salon over, she moved heaven and earth to establish a following and she now has one she simply can't handle. Her business has thrived to the point that she has too many customers to service appropriately. There has been such a decline in her customer service as far as her ability to keep appointments and her overwhelmed emotional state that it's not something I can keep ignoring. She literally got up in the middle of starting my nails yesterday, apparently had a fight with her husband about being overbooked because of him and left for the day without saying a word to me. Then her husband yelled at me to leave when I questioned who would be doing my nails! I stood up to him and did get serviced but these people can't seem to be able to handle the success of their business and are losing it! Now many cult followers of theirs, who haven't had bad experiences yet, will follow them devotedly until they themselves experience what I did but two different customers did whisper to me in passing that Wendy has become intolerable and probably needs to take care of her mental health and marriage. The others turned a blind eye as not to be seen supporting me because they simply can't find another salon as good and don't want to stir up trouble there. Now there are other very good technicians there, who seem to have followings and professional dispositions but if the owners are cracking up, how will they be able to continue to thrive? You may go in on a good day and have a great experience but I promise you that if you stick around long enough, then you will experience the complete chaos of a nail empire that's beginning to fall. Do I want to start looking for a new place? No! Because the work was amazing but I can't be abused by this salon, so I have to move on. It is inevitable anyway, as I give them 6 months to a year before they go out of business. What a shame but nothing lasts forever :( RIP in advance - the one nail salon! read more

I did my hair by the salon which took 1.5 hours so i decided to do my nails. I went in asked for gel mani and a pedi they said ok it will take 30-45 minutes, fine. I asked if they have matching colors so that I would have the same color fingernails and toenails, they said they will find a matching one, ok. I picked the color showed it to the girl and she brought two totally different colors to match. I decided I will do a see through gel so that there wouldn't be anymore time wasted on matching and I picked a different color for my pedi. So I am sitting on the pedi chair thinking about something, look down and my toes are painted! I ask the girl how come I didn't even put my toes in the water, she said oh I thought you were just doing a color change. Seriously? The other girl comes up, apologizes and gets someone else to start my mani, fine. It took the girl so long that the pedi was done by the time she finished prepping my nails for gel. To make the long story short she was super confused doing my gel and was so slow the whole experience was painful to say the least as time was of the essence for me it took 1 hour and 15 minutes almost as long as the keratin on my hair! It was horrible, slow and painful I am all about relaxing but this was anything but will never again stray from the salon by my house which get gel mani and a pedi done in 30 minutes and they do it well.
