I had to find a last-minute gift for that person and ended up keeping the card for myself. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise, though, because this place is horrible; I avoided the embarrassment of giving a gift for such a terrible establishment. Since I kept the card, I've been trying to book a massage, but scheduling an appointment is nearly impossible. I finally managed to book one, but two hours before the appointment, I received a call stating that the therapist, Mathew (or something similar), didn't feel comfortable treating people who have had or currently have cancer. I've been getting massages for years and had never faced any kind of prejudice--whether before, during, or after my recovery. Someone with such prejudice has no business working in this field. I demand a refund for the gift card and never want to hear about a place that employs people like that again. Update: I started a back-and-forth communication with the location manager, Bria, who not only recognized there was an issue with their process, but also I would be refunded for the gift card.
