I always love going to different coffee shops during travel. I came here during one of my trips to Florida. I ordered a 16 ounce iced latte and was surprised that it was only $5. I thoroughly enjoyed my coffee here. They also have smoothies and beer for non-coffee drinkers. Overall, I enjoyed the coffee here and would come back. P.S.--They are dog-friendly too! read more

This has to be the coolest shop I've been to in the area. Great coffee, beer on tap, and waterfront views? Okay Stuart, I see you! Every year I come back to my hometown for the holidays. And usually when I'm here I have to catch up on work. We've been going to a shop not too far away that's always left more to be desired. In comes Gilbert's, a trendy shop with a cooler filled with Topo Chico and canned kombucha. There are a few tables inside with a cozier nook where we set up shop. Two ice coffees came in a can-style glass and a metal straw. No complaints here! I think what makes Gilbert's stand out is the riverfront property it sits on. A large covered patio area and additional tables closer to the water make for picturesque views and great people watching next to Sailor's Return. Few more places that follow in these footsteps and Stuart will be on its way to coolness. read more

We stopped by for a quick cup of coffee while traveling through Stuart and discovered Gilbert's. We just ordered coffee at first, myself a Nitro Cold Brew and my girl a specialty coffee drink. I am a coffee snob (always drink it straight black) and their coffee tasted top notch, just the right about of bitterness and sweetness. My girl absolutely loved her drink as well. I then went back and ordered one of their cheese boards, after seeing someone else try one there. It was amazing. Gilbert's makes a great date idea or just a great place for a great cup of coffee. I lovely little spot that my mom, who's lived in Stuart for around 20 years didn't even know about. Great view, and you can walk around the harbor or to the bridge if you'd like. But even more importantly, the earl gray tea latte with lavender was one of the best I've ever had. And my mom's latte was good too. We also got the blueberry pop tart and a raspberry bar both of which were pretty good. Looking forward to going again and enjoying a cup of tea with my mom! read more

Adorable little coffee shop with a comfy atmosphere and trendy feel. Chill music and nautical decor (including an awesome wall mural of a nautical map of FL and the Bahamas) set the vibe inside, and the great seating area outside under a deck overlooking the marina is perfect for sunsets (will be returning in winter to partake of that). They do have fans out on the patio if the warm weather is tolerable for you. Friendly staff rounds out the experience. My only wish is that they had more of a menu for breakfast and lunch, but otherwise an absolute local - and much needed - gem. read more

Love finding a new independent coffeehouse! Gilbert's is right by Anchorage marina so it is in a perfect spot for beautiful views or even to come in to after boating. They do allow dogs. The decor is fresh and upscale. Several tables inside and out. Very casual. They offered a large variety of coffees and teas. I ordered a vanilla cardamom latte and avocado toast. Both were very good. The food menu is pretty limited. They had hummus toast, a seasonal toast and avocado toast on the menu. Barista and service was super friendly. Not 5 stars because it is pretty $ for what is is. Although I did have a "fancy" coffee , my bill was $20 (this is inclusive of top). So it won't be my everyday go to place for coffee. read more

This coffee bar is absolutely adorable and in a superb location right on the marina. Waterfront views, beautiful weather, an iced pistachio latte and some nutty toast was exactly what we needed to start our day in the Stuart area. The barista was super friendly and was masked! They also had the plexiglass wall up for sanitary purposes. They had many milk options and flavors as well. I would have loved to cozy up with my laptop on the deck/patio if I had work to get done! My favorite cafe in Stuart. My sister and I come here religiously. The location is amazing! Its right on the water with a spectacular view of the Saint Lucie River. The ambience is normally chill with the occasional crowd and relaxing cafe music. Their homemade cold brew coffee is delicious and strong! I once had white wine here so good, i had to take a photo of the bottle so that i can purchase it myself. Today I tried their avacado toast. The avacado spread was ok, but I loved the bread. I had mine without goat cheese but a friend of mine said he loves the toast as is. The staff here is also really friendly and sweet. I once arrived right when they closed, but they still asked If I needed anything. Its a great place to work. Wifi is usally strong and its quiet enough to concentrate. This is definitely my go to spot. read more

And, as a local, I love to come here because it's the only ocean-friendly AND waterfront coffee shop in town... which is important to why I live in Stuart. Each drink is crafted with excellence and love (not to mention there is a surprise at the bottom of each mug of drip coffee with that same reminder). There's a delicious variety of local, baked goods. Oh! And you can transition from day to night with the greatest of ease... from an oat milk latte while I'm working alone, to a bottle of wine and a cheese-board with friends. read more

The place is smaller inside Than I expected so not that many people can be there. Food options are ok if not a bit overpriced. Not really a spot to sit and work on a computer though. This place is absolutely stunning. I came here with my boyfriend after a day at the beach to grab a coffee and a small dish to snack on. As a person who is sensitive to gluten, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they offer their avocado toast on a gluten-free bread (they also have a vegan option!). The atmosphere overlooking the water is amazing for relaxing with a cup of coffee or just spending some time talking with friends. The inside is beautifully decorated and quiet enough to get some work done but there seemed to be limited seating. For those who are sensitive to dairy, they offer oat milk and macadamia nut milk, those of which are substitutions you have to pay extra for (my iced macadamia nut milk caramel latte totaled a whopping $7 and change!). Besides the price, it's a great little cafe and makes a perfect once-in-while treat for people who can appreciate a good cup of coffee. read more
