had an appointment at 2:00pm. Came in at 1:57pm. waited 30 minutes then they took my grandma into a room. Then she waited almost 3 hours for the doctor to finally come in. Because of this office's bad time management, she almost missed her 5pm time to take medicine which she needs or else she'll have a seizure. Considering we're going to a neuroscience office to prevent the seizures, it's pretty ironic they almost caused one. Why do doctors penalize us patients for being 15 minutes late to an appointment but have no repercussions for themselves when they make us wait hours after a scheduled appointment time without any notification? this wasn't the first time either. I am writing to express my grandma's frustration of you guys wasting her time. either don't overbook causing us to waste our day or fix your time management. read more

Okay, so their office manager called and asked for a second chance. I gave it. Told them I run a business, I have employees I have to let off early if I'm not around (so they lose that time on their paycheck), that I'm not retired with more free time, and paid out of pocket towards my deductible. They scheduled me in a way to minimize down time for us both. It worked this time. I believe in second chances when it might be worth it. This was a better visit. read more

The negative reviews here are not the whole story. Dr Gill has been my neurologist for over 5 years and I think he's great. Yes there are sometimes long waits to be seen, but that's modern health industry constraints. He has always been attentive and caring along with his long time assistant. Sure some people will have a different experience, that's true of any business. But problems are not the norm, they happen from time-to-time as they do anywhere. I took off of work to bring my handicapped wife in to see Dr. Gill today. We had an appointment originally scheduled for 11:45am, but were called and rescheduled to 11:00am due to a cancellation. We showed up at the office at 10:45, 15 minutes early. The front staff called two patients who arrived AFTER us, then told us we will have to wait because the rooms were already occupied. At 12:15pm, we were still waiting. Office staff apologized, but said it would be a little longer. They lied to us about the other patients, then lied again about the scheduled times. The staff then called the office manager to the front desk, who helped by repeating the lines and offering apologies. We explained that I took off work for a SERIES of doctor appointments, including an MRI that Dr. Gill had scheduled, but that we would now have to cancel those for running late. More apologies, no solutions. My wife said that Dr. Gill needs to hear about these staff problems. The front staff claimed he was in clinics and is NOT available. Just then, my wife saw Dr. Gill walk by the office door in the hallway. He saw her as well. The staff lied again and said that couldn't have been Dr. Gill. All this time, we were still waiting. Ended up canceling ALL of our other doctor appointments for the day, but still sat there hoping to get at least this appointment in. Nope. After staying a while longer, and as after informing the office staff that this is the 2nd time I took off work and drove across Houston for a doctor Gill appointment, this one will end up like the last. It dragged on so long we just gave up. Never again!!! I haven't even met Dr. Gill, because his staff screws up the schedule and its frustrating to sit there for hours waiting after taking a day off work, then having to reschedule other doctor appointments and take even more time off work next week for those that I missed due to his staff's incompetence. We're finished. I don't recommend Dr. Gill's staff to anybody. I will NEVER go back there again. We told his staff, when leaving, that they better not bill the insurance company because we will check. I'll find a different doctor. That office manager and staff should be fired. They lied to us at least 4 times, which is a red flag. Don't go there if you value your time. Find a different doctor with better staff. read more

Dr Gill loves to treat MRIs-SCANS-LAB WORKS all done at his facility. This summer I had over four hours of MRI's in a 2 day period. I returned for the results.. Was told everything was fine and I sent on my way. Less than 3 month later I had alarming results from a retina specialist. He knew about DR. Gilld testing and suggested I phone him just to reinforce my test results. Bear in mind that DR Gill does not make a penny by calling a patients. So he hasn't and he didn't reply. I was admitted to HCA N. Cypress on 5/4/21 which needs its own review. H. Gill was my consulting neurologist I got stuck with. He made me unsettled from 1st meeting. My friend sat with me while I was very ill. Gill walked in demanding to know who she was to me. She gave her name. He roared I don't want your name, won't remember it tomorrow. I want to know who you are to her. Why are you sitting here with her. He was angry I had a visitor. Rudest, most awful bedside manner ever encountered. Would not take my animals to see him. l was frustrated because l was having such a hard time scheduling an EMG with 3 different doctors. l explained l am in pain as l need surgey for cubital tunnel. l asked that before l drive all the way over there to drop off my orders, what is the soonest l could be seen & was told on the 8th of March it could be the 14th. l dropped off my orders & was told they need my clinical notes first (which l was already told since all l need is an EMG - it wouldn't be necessary). I didn' understand the logic behind it but whatever, l'm in pain. My surgeon sent them & she just called to schedule my appointment... IN MAY. l called her out for lying to me & she said they reviewed my clinical notes & decided to schedule me for the soonest available...May. I went to Dr Bobby Gill for cataract surgery and couldn't be happier about my experience. He operates at N Cypress MC and Houston NW MC. My insurance is Aetna and Houston NW is the in network ASC. Dr Gill's Office is very professional and flexible. Daniel is his technician and I saw him on every visit. The day after my surgery I was able to see and shouldn't need glasses or contact lenses. Lack of Honor and Professional Integrity: Dr. Gill has no honor and does not know the meaning of professional integrity. He showed up to my husband's hospital room 3 times, not staying beyond 10 seconds saying he'll be back when he reads the report. I stayed at North Cypress Medical all day and night and he finally shows up at 9, after I have placed demands that I need to speak to him about my husband's results. 4 days after being hospitalized from ER, he finally shows up, still not having interpreted the tests ordered. Not to mention things only started to happen after I requested to speak with him so many times, he finally sent Dominique, his assistant who was much better "doctor" than he'll ever be. He never followed up with anything he said before we were discharged. The nurse manager paged him for us but did not hear back from him. I didn't think he would, since he was already worried about checking on our insurance before starting treatments. It sounds like his brother has much better reputation and professionalism. read more

Made an appointment based on the North Cypress Medical Center web page for the headache clinic. Thought that this doctor would specialize in headaches, but obviously sees everyone for every neurological issue. Made a new patient appointment for 3:30 two weeks in advance. Two days prior staff called and said this is a mistake, new patients are only seen earlier in the day since they are longer appointments. Made a 2:30 appointment, had to take my child out of school early and claim a half personnel day for work. Showed up 15 minutes early as requested, waiting room was packed and nobody seemed to be going anywhere. Inquired about status after 45 minutes, and was told we will be seen soon. An hour and 15 minutes later, was told doctor is running behind by half an hour. What? Two hours later (4:30) we finally get called to the exam room. Normally would have left and given up, but already took the day off to get in, and figured this must be one great doctor. When Dr. Paul Gill arrives, he barely acknowledges us, and sits down and starts typing on his computer. He never performed any type of examination on my child, nor was interested in family history of similar issues. He asked about recent eye exam, as I am sure would have pushed us to his brother (this must be some type of racket from earlier reviews), but we already have an eye doctor. Gave us a couple of sample medications, said come back in 6 weeks and walked out the door. I think he made eye contact once. Total time for the new patient exam: 5 minutes. Go elsewhere!! read more

Dr. Bobby Gill is awesome! I have been seeing him for 5 yrs now. Daniel is his assistant and he also wonderful. Together they show great care and professionalism. I have recommended a lot of people to him. My Dad had Dr. Bobby Gill do his cataract surgery (going on 4 yrs now) and to this day no problems. I came here with a referral from a mental health professional because of his concerns about my sleep patterns, migraines, and a slew of other, possibly non related issues, with the hopes that a neurologist could do tests and use his knowledge to put the pieces together and get to the bottom of my illnesses. When I called to make my appointment with Dr. Paul Gill, the lady asked what issues I was coming in for. I listed specifically everything that was going on, and she bumped me up 2 weeks from the previously stated "earliest she could get me in" When I arrived to the office, I was given the normal paperwork to fill out, which didn't take long. I sat in the waiting room for 1 hour and 15 minutes before I got called back. I had actually made a list of everything I wanted addressed, and when I gave it to the assistant who was questioning me, she said something along the lines of "we don't really treat this kind of thing, these are psychiatric issues". I explained what I was hoping would happen, but she didn't seem to get it. She stuck my list in my folder and left. When the dr came in, shook my hand and asked with a raised eyebrow "Soooo your therapist sent you here??" He went on to ask the exact same questions as his assistant, typing away on a computer, not making eye contact, and speaking with a strange tone. He made me feel so silly, as if I was going to an podiatrist for a sore throat. I honestly felt like saying well sorry for wasting your time, I'll just leave. He ordered a sleep test and about 5 other brain scans and what not, said see you in 4-6 weeks, and left. He was in the room with me for about 3 minutes. His assistant came back in the room and asked when's the last time I had my eyes checked, saying maybe that had something to do with my migraines. I told her it had been several years, and she said I should get them checked right here, right now. I was told to go back and sit in the waiting room, and they would get me right in to see the eye dr. I sat in the waiting room for 45 minutes, until I got called back again. I had the usual eye tests done by an assistant, and got sent back out into the waiting room where I struck up a conversation with an elderly lady about the wait times. She had been there almost an hour and a half waiting for Dr. Gill, and the lady across from us had been waiting over an hour as well. After 20 minutes of waiting, I got called back in and met with Dr. Bobby Gill. Dr. Paul Gill's brother perhaps? He did the routine vision check , dilated my eyes, etc. I asked him some questions, and he was very very nice and took the time to speak to me. As I was paying, the elderly lady was being walked back to a room, and I heard her ask the assistant why the wait was so long. The assistant said "Oh ya, that's pretty normal." Seriously?? So basically, outrageous wait times. Expect to sit there for at least an hour. Paul Gill was not a very good doctor. Didn't pay attention, kinda rude, not at all helpful. Bobby Gill was, by contrast, very nice man who was patient and considerate. The nursing assistants were nice on both sides The lady you pay at the end was quite rude. I'll be looking for a new doctor. read more

My first visit here was two weeks ago. I waited well past an hour past my appointment time to be called in to see the nurse. She was very nice, thorough and competent. I saw the doctor for five minutes. I'm still waiting for a prior authorization for my imitrex. The office staff is useless. I will continue looking for a better place. read more

So when I came to see Dr. Gil and he was nice and so was his assistant. My issue is with the front staff. The girls there are HORRIBLE. Especially the main girl(I think her name was Amber) she was incredibly rude and had such an ugly attitude! It truly surprises me why anyone would hire such an unprofessional and disgusting person for a front desk position to check in and deal with guests. I have been in customer service for 5+ years and if I ever treated customers they way she does I would have been fired long ago. There was one girl(a young blonde) who was the ONLY kind one there. Very sweet and has such a positive personality and attitude. It's a damn shame that she's no longer there. Dr. Gill (neuro) seemed fine at first but the increasing desire to keep me on medication that was wreaking havoc on my mind and body was discouraging. His office staff is a nightmare and not worth dealing with. It's a victory just to get them actually on the phone. They are rude when they do finally answer. There have only been one or two times that I was actually treated with respect. Also, the wait time to be seen when you come in for an appointment is ridiculous. I've waited up to two hours for a 15 minute visit and a "see you in a month". I've never gotten to a room without at least an hour and fifteen minutes in the waiting room. There are good things about this doctor and practice, but my experiences were mostly negative. read more

Will never return to this neurologist. rude, pompous and wants to give you the newest medication that pharmacological companies are pushing which is expensive. I had not had a seizure in 5 years and he changes my medication. Overmedicated ....end up in hospital; sent home with different medication; 1/2 of what the dosage should have been. Went in to talk to the Dr; won't look me in the eye, the entire time he was looking at a piece of paper not even listening to me. The medication that he put me on is not even for Grand Mal Seizures!!! It is terrifying to have a seizure and at the very least you expect a DOCTOR to care. I have now found a Good neurologist. Also Dr Gill Shares office space and SAME phone # with his brother so there is often confusion and it takes forever to get to speak to someone. I could go on but I lost the ability to walk straight and was slurring, confused and at times manic. I drove my car up on a curb and shredded two tires. Knowing now what caused my problem I would have sued if I had hurt someone. read more

I had a stroke in November and was admitted to North Cypress Hospital through their er. Dr. Gill was my neurologist on call. He was kind, patient and thorough.. I have been to see him 3 times since then. I have had to wait an appropriate amount of time (I'm always early) to see him. Everyone on his staff if is nice and professional. I'm leaving one star because I have to leave something. I have never been more disappointed with a phsyician. I came to this office with some pretty severe perriphreal neuropathy. Several tests were ordered and I waited 3 months to get the results. When I finally went back in, the test results were NOT ready, and Dr. Labault was high as a kite on pain meds for a "Migraine". He then scheduled a nerve test on my legs, and when it was being conducted, the female assistant helping looked at me and said, "Why are you crying?" I explained that it was actually quite painful for me. "She just scoffed and said, "Yeah, we told you it would be." I left, and have never gone back. I have tried several times to get my medical records to no avail. I like North Cypress medical center, but it sincerely TERRFIES me that they are referring patients with serious medical problems to this office. Run away, and find sober, competent Dr.'s to treat you. read more

DR. BOBBY GILL OPHTHALMOLOGIST - ***** 5 STARS. Minus a big star for the crappy parking situation. Took over half an hour to find a freaking parking space without using the $ parking garage because I knew I'd be in the office quite a while--why get reamed for more money just to park the car, and I use a cane. So after starting out in a wonderful mood and thrilled to see an eye doctor after a couple years, by the time I found parking 35 minutes later I was in a fairly foul mood. Inside the building, the lobby is impressively beautiful. My first thought: Why didn't they invest an ounce of attention to the frustrating parking problem that they obviously put into the interior appearance of the building. Appearance versus practicality. A-hole planners. Strike 1. I had tried to fill out the new patient form for the eye doctor online on their web page, but the New Patient page, click, nothing, no info, no link. 30 minutes to fill out the standard New Patient form on paper. Turns out the Gil Neuroscience web page has the New Patient form on it, not the Gill Eye web page. Strike 2. So, at least 1 star off for the hideous clogged parking situation along with the lack of web page form. The waiting room also has a couple clogged paths, plus most of the comfortable bench seating is probably good for those who don't need chair arms to push themselves up and out to standing position. Not old-fart friendly. But then I was taken into the exam room by Daniel the assistant, who was super friendly and thorough, took all my info, did some tests. Dr. Gill came in, looked over my chart, chatted, asked pointed questions, gave me info I hadn't had before. Did you know 100% of people as they age will experience cataracts forming in varying degrees? He also listened to my eyeglasses trifocal problems and presented me with a simple and useful suggestion: get an additional "cheapy" pair of prescription glasses for the at-home reading only, keeping my current pair for computer and TV. Yes! He also did a double contact lens ordering for me since my eyes have stabilized for 5 years. This was done by super-helpful Cynthia who told me the prices for a single order versus a large discount if I did two orders, okay? Okay! Did I want expedited shipping? Oh yeah. Pick it up at their office, or where to ship it? Thank you Cynthia. Checkout by --uh-oh, Donna, Debbie?? The staff don't wear nametags unfortunately. I told her of the New Patient web page not having forms or a link. She had thought the Neuroscience portion of their web page linked to the Gill Eye and said she'd inform Dr. Bobby Gill. Presented my magic plastic card for payment, easy peasy. I had also missed my appointment two days earlier, and they fitted me in with no big problem, so so glad. My contact lenses were woefully out of date and on their last legs. Office was very accommodating and squeazed me in. Setting up the appointment was easy and friendly by phone. The office had informed me that the parking garage would cost $, so I was grateful for that piece of info. And they had checked into my insurance in the interim and told me before I showed up that my insurance did not cover the visit. Again, good info to have. So 5 STARS FOR DR BOBBY GILL AND HIS STAFF, 3 stars [being generous here] for the nasty parking. Average = 4 stars. P.S. The hospital/complex grounds are wonderful, walking paths around two ponds, benches, flowering trees, and ducks. read more
