He personally answers ever phone call- not a staff member or a message recording. I have never met a more "at ease and calming" influence during such hard and troubled times as this fine outstanding pillar of the community man. They provided a very lovely wake and coordinated everything from start to finish with dignity and grace. I felt at the end as if I had also made a friend with John as he was that close to me and guiding during this time. His smile along and comforting demeanor will immediately provide you with confidence you made the right choice. The funeral home itself is "local and comfortable- simple and dignified". When you leave your worldly body behind, you may ask yourself "Am I gone?" And that is the name of this place. I have laid a few loved ones to rest, most recently Grandma Marian. I have served as Pall Bearer twice and the staff helps you in an awkward time. I hope that I don't have to return any time soon though. It is also convenient that there is a Catholic church right across the street for services.

They made my mom look really nice and very much like she did before she was sick, a feat that was impressive. Unfortunately, the other day I had to attend another wake and a service the day after and it was in this location again. The family was able to have a small religious service inside for 100 to 150 people and a military service outside afterward, with absolute organization and a sound system playing the deceased love one's favorite music. The staff was sensitive and, once again, very professional. I would recommend their services to others who need direction and would like a staff thats flexible.

I have to say that he went above and beyond what we expected. I don't want to set unrealistic expectations in others reading this so I'll leave it at that. We were just really pleasantly surprised and touched at how things were handled by him. My late relative was in his nineties when he passed. This parlor is adorned with truly tasteful, antique, restored items and furniture from a bygone era, some from when my relative was in his prime, no doubt. During the visiting hours we met other relatives I hadn't seen in years, and the atmosphere fit perfectly the memories that came alive in our conversations together. I just wanted to share this and express my family's appreciation for the very personal attention we received.
