Had our sons 1st birthday party today and held it at The Dibble Family Center in Batavia. We requested a 100% vegan party and menu. We had a tailgate theme. My cousin's retirement party was catered by Mike Tomaszewski and the Dibble Family Center. The food was SO GOOD! Probably some of the best food I've ever had in Batavia, period! We were served a small green salad with a delicious sweet vinaigrette dressing and then had a buffet to choose our dinner from. There were so many choices! And a bit more inventive than typical buffet food. The ziti, meatballs, and sausage were all really good. They made roasted asparagus with diced pancetta that was excellent! And not something you often see with a catered buffet but was so good! I also LOVED the chicken French (with artichoke hearts and lemon) and this cucumber tomato and fresh mozzarella salad, another thing not often seen. Everything was very good, seasoned nicely, and so so so much better than typical buffet food. If I were to throw an event in Batavia, I would definitely hire the Dibble Family Center to provide the delicious food. We've shuttled back and forth to Batavia for decades for family events, since my mom is from there. This food stands out among all of the food we've eaten at celebrations. Delicious! read more

We just got back from Dibbles for a dinner for our school's cross country team. My table was the last table to go up to get food and the most popular food item, chicken fingers, was all but gone with only 2 left and 10 more people to get food. A few of us asked if they would be bringing out more, the question was very unwelcome with the employee (manager? Owner?) very rudely telling us that no more would be brought out and that everyone before us took to much and we can blame them. I spoke up and said "well that's really not our problem and that my wife and I and everyone else paid $16 bucks a head. She promptly said it wasn't her problem either... So I then spoke up again and suggested next year we could go someplace else (spoiler alert, next year we will), her response was "oh well". All of us were floored by the condescending and aggresive attitude and the complete lack of customer service skills. Going forward the next 10 mins our table was vocal about it as we discussed the situation, not trying to make a seen but it's not a big place and anyone could over hear our conversation. A few minutes after that someone, not woman we had the disagreement with, came out and gave us a plate of chicken cutlets, she said, "I don't know what's going on but here is some chicken for you folks" for the record I don't remember her apologizing, I'm almost sure she did not however I can't say for sure, I just don't remember any kind of apology. And that is the point right, my table didn't care about the chicken, we cared about the way it was handled, the attack on our children for having more than one chicken finger, the fact that the woman we asked told the customer next to me to "go for it" when he mumbled to his wife "we may have to go out to eat after this" All in all the food wasn't bad but definitely not worth $16 per head even if the customer service was 5 star, and it wasn't, it was one star at best. Never again and I will do my best to make sure that our school district no longer uses them for events, ever. read more

We have had multiple business meetings here as well as a few family events. Mike, Val and their team are amazing! Not only is the event center convenient, well laid out and spacious, the food is always over the top! The staff is extremely friendly, very professional and consistent. A delicious buffet, wonderful staff, everything as nice as can be. We were especially impressed with the care given to our elderly and handicapped family members. I recommend this for family parties if you are like me and dislike cooking and cleaning up after. My guests were pleased and raved about the food and coffee. read more

I would give 0 stars if possible. Avoid working with the owner at all costs. My sister unfortunately made the mistake to work with this individual for her wedding and I cannot express how disrespectful he was to her, the wedding party and his own employee's. In many occasions leading up the the wedding he failed to answer direct questions and lashed out at my sister for wanting to know basic details. While setting up for the wedding, he demanded my sister and her friends to clean 25 tables and 200 chairs that he delivered dirty. One of his female employees suggested the issue with this situation and he verbally attacked her, repetitively cursing at her. To make matters worse, after the reception he took the leftover cake which was not provided by him. Lastly, he attempted to bill other family members who had never even spoken to him or were part of the written contract with him. The attempt included many add-ons and extra items that were not agreed upon or provided which makes us wonder if he was trying to make extra money. So as can seen I would never recommend working with this company and especially owner. read more
