They also sent us the digital copies of all of our photos very quickly after the wedding day - which was included in our very reasonably priced package. We had our wedding at Firehouse Chicago with a guest list of ~50. JPP was one of the easiest vendors to work with, reliable, and professional. During the months leading up to the wedding we worked on our playlists using Spotify. We had a playlist for pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. We also selected special songs (some with specific start times) for things like newlywed introductions and cake cutting. We initially emailed with Jeff, who always responded promptly. A couple weeks before the wedding, we got the email from JPP to fill in their document with our song details and from then on we communicated with Miguel over phone and text. We texted Miguel with last minute changes, which he confirmed promptly and executed perfectly on the wedding day. The speaker and mic set ups (indoor and outdoor) provided wonderful sound quality and never was there a bad squeak.

Our MC for the night was Miguel, and he did a fantastic job positioning the speakers, adjusting the volume, making announcements, coordinating the speeches, and overall just making the night run smoothly! He checked in with me periodically to keep the events on time, and he was professional and easy to work with. We hired Laughing Tulips as our photobooth for our wedding and we are so happy we did! The…read morebackgrounds they provide are fun but classy enough that they blend in beautifully with the rest of the wedding decor. The whole contract/payment process was painless and they were very flexible about set-up during the event (we had a room change, and they were willing to set up during the short window in which the ceremony space was being converted to dinner space while our guests were at cocktail hour). They also brought their own linens and prop table, which was great because I totally forgot to rent anything for them. My guests had fun with their props, though if you see something you really love on their website you may want to request it (I kinda wanted one of those "LOVE" banners and a picture frame, but didn't say anything and it wasn't in my assortment). I also brought a number of props of my own, which I sort of suggest doing in general since it makes it a bit more personal (like I had supplied Mario and Luigi hats since we're nerds like that). Our attendant was friendly and helped keep the prop table tidy during the event and explained how to take photos to the people who were confused. She wasn't as "in-your-face" as some photobooth attendants I've seen at other weddings, like who tell you want poses to do and help you take really crazy photos, but this was something that we were expecting based on Laughing Tulip's classy branding. I sent a lot of photobooth inquiries for our date (with both open and closed styles) and I felt that Laughing Tulips was definitely the best value for what you get! They also are upfront about their rates, which many photobooth companies are not (you have to give out your contact info in order to find out a quote, and then they contact you over and over again for months). The printed strips were a hit at the wedding, and the digital downloads (free and very high quality) started popping up all over our guests' Facebook pages when people got home. OH and they make a super cute slideshow set to music for FREE!

We see that and we are sorry," I might have softened or retracted parts of my review, and responded in kind. But they made a different choice. So we double down, too: Do Not Hire Big Hugs. We will let our contacts in Chicagoland know our experience, and we strongly recommend our lovely Naperville venue's clients look elsewhere for a photo booth vendor. One Star. original review: We were so surprised and aghast that this highly-recommended photo vendor failed so epically: 1) subjects were cut out of photos 2) backdrop was broken and we had to fix it Big Hugs was hired for a large Celebration of Life event bringing together relatives and friends from across the country. To memorialize the day, we provided this service so loved ones could take group and family photos. Only after the event, paging through the photo book, did we see that on the majority of prints, subjects were not even within the frame of the photos! We had approval in advance from Big Hugs to provide our own rented couch to set in front of the backdrop, and asked repeatedly if the couch would appear too low in the frame, or if those standing behind would appear too high. Big Hugs' on-site attendant assured us he would make sure and this would be no problem. Yet in about 35% of photos, taller guests' heads were partially cut off, and guests on the couch appeared only from the neck up. Some were out of frame on the sides of photos. The rest of the photos looked ridiculous because the people on the couch were way down in the lower third of the photo. So, why is an attendant present if it's not to ensure good photographs!? From a once-in-a-lifetime event, our guests took home ridiculous, unprofessional photos as their remembrance. This is not what we intended when hiring a professional photo booth vendor at a premium price. Prior to the event, as the attendant set up, we noticed the backdrop was hanging crooked. Two event planners and myself asked if he would fix this before guests arrived. He replied, "I can't. That's how it is." Our venue manager said to the attendant, "This looks terrible and is unacceptable." He did nothing. So she stepped in herself and created a fix for the broken backdrop provided by Big Hugs. Subsequently, our event planner reached out and explained the situation to Big Hugs, who pushed back saying the attendant reported everything was fine. Then offered a 20% discount. Our planner detailed again the numerous points of failure, and then Big Hugs offered 50% off the remaining balance. That Big Hugs charged us *anything at all* after their epic fail should be an embarrassment to them. Highly do not recommend Big Hugs to anyone seeking professional photo booth for an event they care about.

Also, we had a very diverse guest count with different age groups that really didn't classify as a group lol We found John and it was by far the best deal we've gotten from anything wedding related. We felt like we owed him with all the services he includes with his packages! We met with John and Tony and it felt like an elephant left my chest after we left our first meeting. They answered all our questions, we seen videos of previous events and they gave suggestions for games to get the guests entertained before dinner. Days before the wedding i was so scattered brain, indecisive and changed my mind on so many songs and nothing was a problem they updated everything immediately and assured me that everything would be fine. I didn't feel like they were a vendor i felt like they were FAMILY. The patience, thorough communication, suggestions and support was more than expected. Anyway enough about them. The day of we had John, Tony and Rico and you better believe they had backup upon backup upon backup! They came early to set up and greet us. Once the reception started people were non stop dancing. Dancing, dancing, dancing dancing. Their light shows was a huge hit as well. They did such a great job people didn't want to leave when it was over because the music was so good!! Phenomenal! Then, we we saw rain in the forecast, he was very responsive over the phone in helping us with workarounds in case it rained. At the block party he played great music and was super accommodating with all of our karaoke choices. Their equipment all worked perfectly. The karaoke screen was easy to see, the speakers sounded great, the volume was spot-on, the microphones worked perfectly, and they even set up disco lights for us when it got dark out! Super fun. Everyone really enjoyed having him there and we would definitely hire him for next year! His prices are very reasonable as well. Finally, John is such a nice a gracious person. I really enjoyed talking with him while they were setting up and tearing down their equipment.
