Honestly where do I begin... I was looking for a good photographer to capture our special moments for our wedding, and Gina was recommended by our videographer. I want y'all to know that Gina is not only professional but she's kind, loving, down to earth, the easiest person to get a long with, she makes you feel at ease and comfortable. My husband and I are celebrating our milestone wedding anniversary in the Fall of this year (2019) and wanted to take professional photos. I love Gina's attention to details, her soft/romantic style and artistry. I initially scheduled a mini-session but then upgraded to a full hour session at Mission San Juan Capistrano. Heavy rain was in the forecast at our time slot and I was feeling anxious. Gina was very flexible with her time and adjusted accordingly with the weather. She timed it perfectly and the clouds cleared up for our session. We had never met Gina in person before but we quickly established a good rapport. She did an excellent job making us feel comfortable and relaxed. Gina was personable and professional, communicating well before and during our session. Offered her expertise and suggestions and allowed me time to change outfits. Turn around time was a week as per contract and Gina exceeded our expectations. We are extremely satisfied with our experience and absolutely love our photos! These are the "engagement photos" that we always wanted... 20 years later. I think seeing a husband write this review should be enough for anyone to book Gina Purcell. If you're in doubt, please read this review.  We hired or shall I say GOT to hire Gina but if I'm being overly dramatic, was actually by FATE. You see, we got into a little drama with another photography company, but long story, short, we dropped them TWO weeks out before our wedding day. My wife was about to have a mental breakdown! So my wife starts to lurk on Gina's IG right away with no shame. Still sad and frustrated about the previous photographer she goes, "Babe! Her pictures look clean! It's our style. Simple and clean!" But we had no idea that you need to have a bond with the photographer as well. Chemistry plays such a big roll. I had no idea.  I can't tell you how much Gina went above and beyond our expectations. She made my wife and me feel so comfortable that day. I'm not even kidding when I say she's so positive during the day it makes you stay positive as well. There was one specific moment during the hectic day that I'll always remember. It's after church; we're at our shoot location before the reception. And Gina goes, "Hold her, touch noses." And she's just so into it and goes, "Yes, Yes! Omg. Yes! It's so perfect!" she made us feel like we were super models.  She had two extra "shooters" with her, who one turned out to be her other triplet sister. It was just so cool to see their dynamic as sisters. They all made us feel like movie stars. Even my family was all, "Dude, how much did you pay for them? There was so many of them and they were everywhere! You guys looked like movie stars. All the flashes and cameras looked crazy." If you are on the fence about Gina, I hope this novel of a review swayed you. She even went out of her way to get our "Sneak Peeks" to us by that Monday! Yes, two days people. We just thought, "No big deal, oh cool we got some photos already." No that's huge! If you guys didn't know, it takes awhile for these photographers to send pictures to you. It's their work on the line, it has to be perfect to be shown to the world. I have friends who got married; it took them 3 months to get their albums. So this long time frame is normal. But Gina went out of her way to get us a sneak peek. She let us keep the hype train going and we want to thank her for that.   So in the end, Book her, she's legit. read more

Gina was the first person we met when we went looking for a photographer for our wedding. We met up at a coffee shop to see if we would be a good fit for each other. First impressions are important and Gina made us feel so comfortable. We could tell she was very caring, attentive and loved what she does. She even got us a gift. Me and my now wife asked each other what we thought and we both knew we didn't want to talk to anyone else. We booked her for our wedding and included an engagement shoot. Everyone has a certain aesthetic objective in mind when selecting a photographer to capture significant milestones in their lives, whether it is an engagement, a wedding, the birth of a child or family portraits. In this case, I wanted a photographer who could bring out the beauty of pregnancy and perfectly encapsulate newborns (since they change so much in such a short amount of time). After perusing the internet, I discovered Gina Purcell Photography on Yelp, and from there, viewed her portfolio on her main website. One thing that caught my eye from the beginning is the lighting in all of her work. Not only was she consistent, but she offered a belly to baby package for a very reasonable price. After messaging her and asking questions (which she took the time to answer), I knew I had to book her. From the beginning, Gina has been professional and quick to respond to any questions/concerns I had prior to the maternity session. My husband and I booked our maternity session for Saturday, December 9th and it was the perfect day for our session (thanks to California for warm winters!). While the location was a busy one that afternoon, you wouldn't have been able to tell from the images Gina captured. The sunset was breathtaking, the water was cold (but not freezing), and the ambiance was just right. She even brought a couple extra outfits for me to choose from, which I ended up wearing one of them because it went with my floral crown. The lighting, the atmosphere, her natural talent and easygoing personality are a few of the many reasons why we chose Gina to capture this special time in our lives! The fact that she just launched her photography business this year is impressive! I also appreciate her attention to detail, fixing flyaways and tucking in parts of my dress to avoid overexposure. We were thoroughly impressed with the turnaround time too! Friends and family alike have complimented us on our maternity session and we couldn't have been more pleased with how they turned out! Such a fun and low stress photo shoot with Gina! To start I had brought a few options I was still unsure of for photos and Gina was so helpful in suggesting what might work best for me. I loved that she arrived early and had a few spots already scouted out for us to use that turned out to be beautiful in our photos! My husband commented that he like that she had given us just the right amount of direction in positioning us as a family, "I really needed that" he said. Not to mention her patience with our 4yr old, when she wasn't interested in smiling for the camera anymore; Gina didn't skip a beat and worked with it.
