I honestly am skeptical when a establishment has 5 stars. Statistically, that seems impossible. Well against all odds, I'm a believer now. This place was awesome. 5 stars for the awesome concept. 4 stars for the limited hours and weird location. It's awesome to see a place like this in Tampa. I've never seen so many coffee nitro taps available (really I'm just impressed if a place has more than one). I love how you can get a flight, too, since there are so many options. I'll admit I'm not much of a drinker so the opportunities for "flights" are very limited. However, it was exciting to feel like one of the cool kids, even if it was just a flight of kombucha and coffee. The prices are a little on the high side, but that's to be expected with hipster beverages like this. The hours to this place are a little wonky because they are part of a brewery. It's really tricky to make their hours on the weekday if you work. Also, parking was a little bit of a pain. We had a hard time finding the garage so we just parked on the street, which had a bunch of construction going on. Also, the sign was not at all clear since it's part of a brewery. But it was a very interesting place and definitely worth a visit if you're a fan of nitro - specifically coffee nitro. The kombuchas that they had on tap that day were just okay, so I think if you're a kombucha konnoisseur (see what I did there?) you might be a little underwhelmed. Ginger Beard has a hip laid back environment that you don't typically see in coffee shops, but makes sense because at night it turns into a bar. It definitely feels like you're in a bar except in the morning drinking coffee lol.  I got a dirty chai latte with oatmilk which was tasty. My only gripe was that they can't make it iced which is what I would have preferred. Also, it came out to around 6.50 which is so pricy for a standard drink but I guess typical for Downtown Tampa. The staff were nice and friendly. As a tip: order for here if you plan to stay for a bit so they serve your drink in a cute mug! read more

Upon walking in I knew this was a great spot. Tvs all over the walls, pool table, long bar with plenty of seating. Looks like beer is served later in the day. I see two men with long red beards... and instantly I knew I was in the right spot. The beards were flowing harder than the nitro they poured. Nitro had 4-5 different flavors, I sampled their GBC and it was smooth and flavorful. They had a nice selection of mushroom teas and lates. I ordered a hot black coffee and the flavor was spot on. And although you can read my co-worker's reviews for the Nitro Cold Brew that they had, I personally wanted something hot and simple. The atmosphere in this place is really cool. It seemed more like a bar than a coffee shop. But obviously with the selection they offered, they know their coffee well. From the moment I walked in and saw a smiling bearded dude with a Braves hat, I knew I was going to like this place. Go Bravos! This kind of spot would absolutely kill it in Atlanta. It's a two-hitter location, sharing space with Pourhouse which offers tons of craft brews (30+) in the afternoon/evening while Ginger Beard serves up killer coffee and cold brews during the day. We tried the GBC blend (house espresso blend) with the 1/2 caff pb which was a delicious peanut butter dream. Our group needed a pick me up, so my fellow Brave told us to mix it with the house blend to get our fix since the 1/2 caff has less punch. It was much appreciated and gave me the perk I needed! Their prices were fair and they offered an excellent product. The vibe of the place was welcoming and trendy. Would definitely recommend to any friends visiting Tampa who appreciate good cold brew. This place is a winner! With four different nitrogen-infused cold coffee brews on tap, and knowledgeable baristas, I can see why this place is rated so highly. I went on a Saturday morning, and unfortunately none of the parking spots out front were available. With so many condos in the area, I'm sure this is the norm. Fortunately, there was a huge parking garage behind the bar, and the first two hours in the garage are free. This place is a regular bar at night (Pour House), and coffee shop during the day, with no overlap except an hour or so on weekends. I walked right up to the coffee bar part, and the guy behind the counter (I'm guessing an Owner, due to the bushy red beard) was so helpful, letting me sample each of the 4 different brews and describing the flavors, while I decided which ones I wanted to purchase. I love that they have a simple syrup concoction made up so I could get my coffee sweetened. Nice, clean, wide open industrial space, plenty of seats, free wifi, and great coffee - I'm sold! read more

I figured since I'd be working in the area for a week or two, I'd try out a local coffee shop instead of a getting my usual big chain coffee. I walked in, was fourth in line; the barista was talking to all three patrons while preparing the coffee, he seemed to be very friendly, so that's a right there. He prepared my LG, 1cr & 1s and I took it to go (the price reflected the size accurately in my opinion.) I stopped again the next day, walked right in as he was finishing the patron in line; he saw me and asked "LG hot, light on the cr & s, right?". Very impressive that he remembered after only one visit the day before. I'll definitely be going back over the next few weeks. And the place appears dog-friendly as well! read more

The best espresso drinks I've had in Tampa and just about anywhere! The coffee shop is located in Pour House, so keep in mind to look for that signage in the courtyard halfway down the block. I typically turn in toward the courtyard/breezeway and park in the garage on the right. You'll be on level 3 and should park near elevator A. Take that down to the first floor, follow the halls to the exit, and turn right once in the courtyard. The sign on the door says Pour House and Ginger Beard. I get a breve latte. I have also tried the peanut butter nitro cold brew and was shocked by how much I liked it and will definitely order again when in the mood for something cold! It's so nice to receive such great customer service. Ginger Beard is a unique coffee shop that is located inside of a beer pub called The Pour House. Ginger Beard is open in the morning hours. I go there from time to time with my daughter because we like to go to coffee shops to write. Can I just add that my daughter works at a local Ybor City coffee shop and she loves coming to Ginger Beard. That's high praise from a fellow barista. I was shocked the second time we went in and Josh recognized us, got a big smile on his face, and even remembered our order from before and asked us if we wanted the "usual". It just makes you feel good to be remembered and there are not many places at all anymore that treat their customers so well. Besides the great customer service, the kombucha is really tasty and so is the chai latte. These are the only things I've tried so far. The music is tasteful and not too loud, perfect ambience for getting some writing done. We are looking forward to returning. read more

I started with a peanut butter nitro cold brew, added some cinnamon? Just right! Then I went in for the chai latte. And that was a MISTAKE. That incredible beverage went down WAY too quickly. It was the perfect temperature and SO delicious. The cold brew was the entree, the chai latte was dessert. Fantastic customer service with, YOU GUESSED IT, a ginger-bearded barista. I'm guessing he's Joseph, as he was umpteen feet tall. Super-great guy, knowledgeable, kind without being "much." I really appreciate that. If you're a chai fanatic like myself, their chai lattes are the best I've had in town by far! The place is the perfect environment to relax, do some work or meet up with a client. Now, me personally, I'm not a big fan of coffee (the caffeine kills me) but my boyfriend is obsessed with their cold brews on tap. Hence, why this is now our daily spot to come. Elusive Ginger Beard! I walked by it a couple of times and getting ready to try it again. Luckily I'm not the only one that can't find the place and a nice gentleman with a smile, asked me: are you by any chance looking for the coffee place ? It turns out the Ginger Coffee is actually named Pour House!!... not the smartest thing to do. In any case, I order my red-velvet doughnut which was delicious; fluffy moist and not so sweet. For me, the star of the place. The espresso in the other hand was just bland, lacked flavor, aromas and the syrupy magic that makes a great espresso. The cappuccino was a big bowl of milk and some espresso. I'm sorry to write this review because the big red bearded guys that work there are Great! Unfortunately not their barista skills. Nice latte art but bad ratios. That cappuccino tasted like hot milk. I guess is made for locals that know to come here for a great doughnut and latter stay for a good selection of two beers. From the Salzburg Stigel beer to their home made in Tampa beer. My suggestion, have a doughnut and pair it with a good stout! P.S. For the owners: lower your coffee prices.
