Halal desi Chinese spot in Mississauga offering Chinese food with a desi twist. ! The place is really busy so get reservations. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is lively and has a fun vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service is fast and the menu has a nice variety. The food was good but not great. I really liked the mango mojito , veggie chowmein and the soups . The dumpling, dynamite chicken and the garlic chicken was ok. I thought the flavors were too over powering. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall good family spot for Chinese food with generous portions[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].

The food was good, just something didn't hit the spot. We did not get family size items. The rice and noodle portions were pretty big. But the chicken, beef portions were super small. Servers were a bit slow at checking on us. Maybe they need more servers as they are extremely busy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is clean and a lot of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Several restaurants were recommended to me based on demand. This was one of three. The first one entered was empty so we decided to check Ginsoy out and found it somewhat busy. You'd think that's a good sign, right? The restaurant is spacious though some of the tables near the back wall are too close together. It's where we'd be getting seated. Asked if we had reservations, we did not. Sat down anyhow and immediately served light, airy chips with a green chutney. They were good. We ordered an appetizer to start, dynamite prawns; thickly battered and deep fried. Not what we were expecting but tasted decent and heavily sauced. Kindo supreme chicken and mix chow mein followed next. The dishes arrived quickly as the place had not yet filled up for the later dinner rush. The kindo chicken had no taste. The mixed chow mein which included chicken, beef and shrimp also had no taste and was super oily. The struggle to eat was real. I had to drench my food with various sauces in order to consume. This is never a good sign. The flavour was a 6 out of 10. I asked my friend to rate their experience and they too said between 5-6/10. Service was good and quick. Friendly servers, promptly responded to requests. What was shocking was the amount of people in the restaurant. It was packed to the brim. I'm not even sure why. The food is subpar. People on either side of us had ordered different dishes but they all looked the same. It was an experience I won't repeat again.

Please make a reservation before you head to this place. This was my third time here and but the wait times are insane. They usually have a wait between 1-2 hours. So keep that in mind. We started with the Dynamite Prawn, Manchurian Soup. I loved both starters, but the soup was my favourite. For our Main course I got the Mix fried rice, Mix Chowmein, Classic Beef Chilli Dry, Spicy Garlic chicken and Spicy Schezwan Fish. Loved the fried rice, mostly because it was not greasy like other Hakak places. The Fried rice with Garlic curry was a great pair. Noodles had good flavour too. What amazed me was how large the quantity was. They are generous which is good because one dish costs $25. My only complaint would be the time taken to get our food to the table. We got our mains after an hour, which was very ridiculous. I had to ask the server the status of the food because no one came to update us about our food, which got me and my guests a little annoyed. If the restaurant can improve on serving the food faster I would definitely recommend everyone to try this place.

Ginsoy chain is very popular abroad has opened up a location here. On arrival, at this time it's all about luck, they are extremely busy, you may or may not get a seat. With everything, eventually it will calm down. Currently they have shortened Soft opening menu which I added a picture for. Eventually, the menus will include a lot more options. Decided to try the dynamite prawns. These were perfectly battered and fried, crispy on the outside, the sauce it was paired with really added to the flavour. Kindo Chicken, this was delicious, full of flavour. We added a noddles as our carb dish and paired with both this was full of flavour. Our server was very delightful, the service was quick despite it being very busy. Will definitely be returning to try other items on the menu

Had dinner here last night. We ordered several dishes to share among 5 of us. We walked in and were seated within 5 minutes. Our waiter was fast and attentive. There were plenty of waiters you can wave down and they were very attentive as well. Food came out quickly and portions were generous. Everything was true to flavor. They use white meat chicken. Healthier than eating out at a hakka restaurant. Recommend dishes: Hot & Sour Soup Red, Dynamite chicken, Classic chicken chilli, Chicken shashlik, Classic beef chilli dry, Chicken fried rice and Hot & Spicy Chowmein.

Well, this is the place to go and while they're well known for their BBQ (or so I've heard), majority of their menu is spicy. However, I was excited to find that some items, such as the chicken tikka and malai boti are mild/not too spicy so I often for those. I didn't try any of the meat items, since I don't really eat meat, but everything I've ordered from their chicken was amazing! I loved the malai boti, chicken malai leg and the chicken tikka. We ordered some karachi paratha on the side and decided to make our own paratha roll at home with the chicken and it turned out very very good. I would come back here in the future should I need or crave good chicken and BBQ. The seasoning and spices used were great. Their tea was also pretty good and portion was quite generous. I gave a 4/5 as I also tried their peshawari ice cream, but was not a fan of it. The ice cream used was not creamy enough and it was topped with rooh afza, making it a little sweeter and the ice cream was also quite small considering it was $5. Stick to what they're known for and that is their kababs and BBQ. Don't forget to grab some tea as well. Forgot to grab a pic of our order.

TLDR version: horrible dining experience, decent tasting food…read more Let me start by saying that the quality of the food here was great, and very tasty. Unfortunately though, there's more to a dining experience than just the taste of the food and that's where this restaurant falls absolutely flat on their face. Horrible dining experience. First off, the waitresses were completely lifeless, mumbled everything, didn't even have the care to look in your direction while speaking, let alone look at you. Asking things like "what's popular here" didn't really yield any response from them either. In addition to that, the wait time of the food was a bit too much. We were one of only two small tables in the restaurant at the time and had to wait 40 minutes for food that usually wouldn't take anywhere near that long. The quantity itself was a bit on the low side as well. And finally to wrap it up, on a hot summer night, it was boiling inside due to their AC not working. So we had to eat our food literally dripping in sweat.

Located in a small plaza right next to Szechuan Noodle Bowl…read more Loved the interior as it looked newly renovated, clean lines, with some ethnic touches! The ceramic tiled table tops had an Islamic geometric pattern on them and chairs had a tribal weave. What needed work was the following: - Menu is really simple, with NO PRICES were posted. Really? Do customers hafta ask how much each item costs? - Although festive in design, paper plates and sauces presented in takeout containers were used for dine-in - Some dishes needed improvement: 1 kebob was overcooked to the point of tasting bitter, both goat/fish dish were oily Keema naan was good. Fried fish was flavourful and moist, but needy to be drained of oil before being served. Although I do appreciate a succinct menu, it was perhaps a bit too simple. There was no rice and maybe 1 veg dish which I found weird. No Kashmiri Chai available, although it appears on the menu. Again, I don't like that there aren't any prices posted. Service was ok, but it was a younger guy doing everything from taking orders to serving. Luckily, it wasn't very busy when I ordered. Food is ok, I wouldn't be opposed to going back, there is potential, but some things need improvement.

It's terrible for the environment, and it made the drinking water taste bad. I also saw hot tea being served in disposable paper cups. Please, please, please, get proper, re-useable cups to serve your guests with. We had proper plates and cutlery, I don't understand why they gave us styrofoam cups. This was a dark smear on an otherwise great dining experience. Now, on to the food portion of the review. So. Delicious. I am, by no means, an expert on Pakistani food, but I found the flavours of the goat and chicken karahi amazing! We ordered a pound of each, and they came out sizzling in iron skillets. The medium was spicy, so if you're not a spicy person, get it mild. My only gripes were that the goat had quite a bit of bone in it (maybe we got a bad cut), and the chicken was a tad bit dry, but everything was still so very tasty. We got the sesame butter naan to go with our karahi and it was quite possibly some of the best naan I've ever had. Warm and chewy on the inside, a little bit crisp on the outside, and great flavour from the toasted sesame. Mopped up the sauce from the karahi with the naan... I'm still dreaming about it. The interior of the restaurant is quite small, maybe 5-6 tables that sit 2-4. But it's brightly lit, clean, cozy, and has great Pakistani decor. The lady serving us was very sweet and helpful in helping us decide what to eat.

I ordered the beef tawa qeema, papri chaat, rumali roti and a kulcha. The tawa qeema was delicious and perfectly cooked but it was loaded with green chilies which made the dish so so spicy that really put me off. I love spicy food but this was a bit too much. The papri chaat was so close to ones you get in Pakistan I really enjoyed it. Roomali roti which is paper thin roti was such a treat I probably ate it after a decade not many places make it here. Definitely full points. But the kulcha was dry and got hard very quick I wish they made it more soft with a touch of butter. Overall the flavors are good minus the spicy level on the qeema. I do want to try their fish, bunkabab and breakfast halwa puri. The service was really good. The girl behind the counter was super friendly and courteous. The place was neat and clean. And the desi songs playing were just epic. Great selection staff. Price point isn't bad at all. All this was $35 including a pop. They have a separate section with paper plates, cutlery, boxes and bags which I really liked as you don't have to stand in a line begging for them after you get your order.

Sure enough, dinner rolled around and we couldn't find something else we wanted, so we swung back here. We were surprised when we walked in. There's not much of a storefront, just a counter to order. They clearly don't much want dine in-traffic, they're just aiming to get you to order something and take it to go. There's very simple decor, with a TV behind the counter displaying the menu. Despite the fact that this place was still going to be open for an hour, their menu was... unavailable. We ordered a couple of kabob rolls, but they were out of roti, so we had to swap out plan. We tried ordering sides, but there were out of... all of them. Absolutely baffling. The girl at the check out was clearly disinterested. We were disappointed, but not about to go somewhere else, so we settled for getting what they were able to provide. We made a point of going somewhere else to pick up drinks, and then went back to our hotel to eat the food. Food was good, but based on the disinterested service we probably would never come back if we were in town.
