I was a little skeptical when we first arrived since the restaurant was fairly empty for a Saturday night, but wow! This place exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, with a casual Italian dining feel. They seated us by the window, which made for a really nice setting for dinner. We may have just come on an unusually slow night, but it honestly made for a laid-back and enjoyable experience. I started with the spinach artichoke dip, which was rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. I especially loved the little toasted bread it was served with. For my entrée, I ordered the manicotti with pink sauce, and it was incredible. The portions were huge, so I could only eat about half, but that just meant leftovers for later! Since we were some of the only people in the restaurant, it felt like we had the place to ourselves, which was actually pretty awesome. I also asked everyone in our group what they thought of their meals, and every single person said they loved them. Overall, it was a great experience with excellent food, generous portions, a cozy atmosphere, and wonderful service. 10/10 would recommend!

I really like El Quetzal, awesome Latin American restaurant. More people should check this place…read moreout but it's not perfect though. They have the robot that brings out food for you like at certain hot pot restaurants. The robot was not precise and it would stop at random table instead of the exact table where it should be. Could be because the restaurant is small for this robot or the set up was not good. Service was excellent. Server came to check on me four times. Plantains were great. The el mar which is a seafood combination dish and included lobster tail, shrimps, and a piece of salmon. The dish was really cheap, only $23.99. The shrimps and salmon were good. The lobster tail was not the most fresh. The meat at body end was soft/soggy. The mixed vegetables were frozen vegetables. Please never ever use frozen mixed vegetables. I would rather pay a little more for fresh vegetables. I didn't quite understand the use of salsa as there were no chips for it. There were tortillas but salsa and tortillas don't go together, am I right? Who knows? I didn't touch neither. This restaurant also has burgers, steaks, and pasta which I haven't tried. I feel like wether you give this a 4 or 5 stars all come down to what you order. An incorrect order will automatically knock it down to 4 stars. It is such a cool restaurant though. I wish Tulsa has something similar.

The restaurant inside was a bit outdated with older Italian music playing. We received some warm bread, and we ordered the calamari fritti to start. It came out perfectly golden and hot. I wished the portion was bigger because it was so good! We ordered the classic pasta with linguini, alfredo sauce, shrimp, and mushrooms as well as the Italian tour which consisted of chicken parm, lasagna, and fettucine alfredo. My linguini was amazing. The pasta was cooked perfectly, my shrimp and mushrooms were seasoned deliciously, and the sauce had the most beautiful gloss. I really enjoyed how it wasn't overly rich. As for the Italian tour, the chicken parm and fettucine alfredo were good, but I could pass on the lasagna. It was a bit too runny for my taste. I also was not a big fan how the three dishes were essentially running into each other on the small plate. We didn't see our server much after she dropped off our food. We waited a bit in hopes to order dessert, but by the time she checked on us again, we just asked to be checked out. I'll still be returning if I'm in the area as the food was great.
