Service is wonderful and the food was amazing! This was our first visit and we'll definitely be back.

I've come here several times now and always got the Bosco salad and linguine with white clam sauce. It has always been great except for the linguine once, not enough garlic and too much olive oil. Everyone is entitled to an off night. It's a very clean and comfortable atmosphere. It's I always left my server a really nice tip. Thinking that this would get me the level of service I want. But for some reason except once I feel I am being ignored. They seem to have a loyal clientele that they seem to cater to and other customers are not given the service the others are. Again the food is really good. The service except for the one time has been less than desirable. This kind of puts me in a tough spot. Do I tolerate the poor service and eat the really good food or sacrifice the good food because of the poor service? I'll have to think it over. Overall grade tonight "C+". We've been coming to Johnny's since they opened and the food is always incredible! Their homemade rolls are to die for. I always get the salmon Bella Donna even though iv tried many dishes it's my go to. Their pink sauce is so good! The biggest piece of salmon & it's always cooked to perfection, so flakey and moist. We've had a few of their desserts and they are always so so good! I believe they are all imported from Italy. You can tell they are high quality & just so delicious. Johnny and his wife are always so friendly. They are from Italy and truly take pride in their food and restaurant. The atmosphere is always nice, very clean and service is top notch. They can get very busy from time to time but usually very fast with getting the food out. Always a pleasure coming to such a great local family owned restaurant. read more

Tried out Johnny's while we were in the area and craved some Itailan. Walking in, we were greeted and sat, and it seemed pretty busy for a weekday lunch. The restaurant inside was a bit outdated with older Italian music playing. We received some warm bread, and we ordered the calamari fritti to start. It came out perfectly golden and hot. I wished the portion was bigger because it was so good! We ordered the classic pasta with linguini, alfredo sauce, shrimp, and mushrooms as well as the Italian tour which consisted of chicken parm, lasagna, and fettucine alfredo. My linguini was amazing. The pasta was cooked perfectly, my shrimp and mushrooms were seasoned deliciously, and the sauce had the most beautiful gloss. I really enjoyed how it wasn't overly rich. As for the Italian tour, the chicken parm and fettucine alfredo were good, but I could pass on the lasagna. It was a bit too runny for my taste. I also was not a big fan how the three dishes were essentially running into each other on the small plate. We didn't see our server much after she dropped off our food. We waited a bit in hopes to order dessert, but by the time she checked on us again, we just asked to be checked out. I'll still be returning if I'm in the area as the food was great. read more

We decide to go to johnnys. Been thinking about Italian for awhile. It's a small place in a strip mall. Seats about 80 people. We were seated right away and drink orders were taken and menus delivered. I decided on the spaghetti the works which is spaghetti with red meat sauce, sliced Italian sausage and 3 nice meatballs. The sauce was nice and thick and stuck to the noodles and meat which was nice. My wife ordered the cheese manicotti with marinara sauce. Also an app of bruschetta. Tht came out first and was pretty tasty. 4 nice pieces. The entree came out and mine was a nice heaping plate of spaghetti and my wife's was in a round oven dish and it was still bubbling. Everything was very good. Not a fan of Ala carte menus so didn't have the salad. IMO they should come with a tossed salad and if you want a Caesar or other specialty salad then you pay for it but it is what it is. I was seated under the AC vent which isn't usually a problem for me but about half way through dinner I got a little chill. Service was good. A little confusing on the pay options. Some were paying at their tables and others went to the register. Finally the lady said she would get me at the front. Another local restaurant to support. read more

My chicken Alfredo was amazing! My husband had a mixed plate and ate it all! The bread knots were very tasty also. For dessert I had cannoli yummy and my husband had tiramisu. Food was good. Service was non existent!!!! When meal came asked for more rolls, she ignored my request. Tea glass empty, I had to raise my glass to get her attention, then she asked if I wanted a full or 1/2 glass. My other half asked for tea refill also, again she asked if wanted full or 1/2 glass. Another guest at our table asked for tea refill she refilled w water. Absolutely the worst service I've experienced there. 50 bill, she got $2 as her tip. Johnny's really is a hidden gem. The vodka sauce is delicious. Servers are always friendly and it's a great vibe.

For me the 7 mile drive is worth the trip. I've been to Johnnys 10-12 times, everything I've sampled has been excellent. I've never had to wait to be seated. Every time I've been there someone has walked out with a pizza they ordered ahead of time. Next time I'm there I'm going to order one to go myself. I'm betting they're good. It's in a quiet strip mall. If you like Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra music you'll be alright. read more

The menu has been updated, pastas are still delicious, but I always have to have calamari! More seafood pasta dishes have been added, so I'll be trying them soon. Johnny serves everything to order...not precooked and kept under a warming light. Might take a little more time for your food, buts it's well worth the wait! Desserts are pretty darn good too. Nice place with alot of tables and one side of booths. Love the tablecloths with glass ontop. Simple on the outside, simple signage. Greeted friendly and service good. Brought us really good rolls to start. Large menu to look over. Husband ordered the Spaghetti Works. He said really good. Had meat sauce, Italian sausage and 2 big meatballs. I sweet talked a couple bites of the Italian sausage and loved it. Looked like it had plenty of good sauce. I ordered my normal lasagna that I order at least once every Italian place we try. Flavor was good but not the type of lasagna that I like. This has a deep layer of meat on bottom with a sliver of noodle around it. Then a thin layer of sauce with melted cheese on top. It was alittle dry for my taste. I wanted more of the good sauce and noodles. Many other dishes on menu, I'm sure are really good. So if you live in the Choctaw area it's a definite yes to try. read more

Worst experience ever!!! My husband and I wanted to try this place for a while. It's Sunday and we went at 2pm walked inside. NO ONE said hi, hello, goodbye! Nothing! So we just went and sat ourselves. They weren't that busy at all. Waited for over 5 mins and my husband looked 2 different waitresses in the eyes, to let them know we've been here waiting. They ignored him! Finally he got one of them to come to our table and she looked at us like we were aliens! Like what?!? lol it's funny but NOT. She did not smile, did not greet us and didn't even say kiss my butt like her face wanted to! And trust me we held back. on being rude!!! This was THE weirdest interaction we both ever had in our lives. We're in our 50s! We are always taken care of kindly. We are kind people! So we just all looked at each other like duhhhhhhhh. So I ordered a beer and my husband a water. Then she asked if we needed a fork? And I'm like a fork for what?! My beer!! Is what I wanted to say! And my husband was mad....pissed at this point and he was like no we're actually just gonna have this and we're going to leave. And she looked at him like....I'm telling you she had never seen a human being in her life! We were both dressed up but yet she treated us like we were someone that lived on the street and she was shocked that we could enter that restaurant or something.......it was weird I'm telling you. Besides if we were homeless you should never ever treat somebody the way we were treated !! I don't care if you live on the street or you don't! So my husband took out cash he only had a five dollar bill, put that on the table. The beer was four dollars and we left. No one said have a good day no one said kiss my butt. If you don't want to work at a place like that where you have to greet people and treat them good then we suggest going to work where you don't have to deal with the public!! RUDE!! None of those girls in there looked our way. Needless to say this is as kind as I can put this review. So we ended up going to a Mexican restaurant instead in Choctaw and it was great!!! We were greeted and seated soon as we walked in!! The service was impeccable the food was great! We will definitely be going back there. Bruschetta is a perfect appetizer! Usually. This was the worst I have ever had! It was salsa with old basil added! This form of bruschetta is normally tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, and FRESH basil! The bread was toasted perfectly, I will give them that! The service was really good. The wait for the food was ridiculous! The restaurant was almost empty and everyone around us got their food before we did. I finally asked what is the hold up, only to be told, a call in order came in before our order hit the kitchen. So even though all the other customers came in after us, they all got their food before we did. I pitched a fit! Yep, I pulled a "Karen"! This is a pretty good little Italian restaurant very close to home. They offer many options of traditional Italian fare, along with several specialty dishes. The food was quite good, although my pasta trio was too crammed together in a little dish. The trio had manicotti, a lasagna roll, and a cannelloni. They were all together in the small dish, so it was difficult to tell where one ended and another began. The flavors were good, and everything tasted fresh. My friend ordered the Chicken Genovese, and it was a lovely dish, different from what I normally order. Very tasty. The prices were great for lunch time. The service was friendly, although a bit slow, but I think we caught them on a day when they were under staffed. We will be back to try some more of what Johnny's Italian has to offer. read more

Let me just say, not impressed. I walked in thinking this place would be excellent since it had food reviews and the restaurant was full, but the food was subpar and the service was no where near excellent. I hate to give a mom and pop shop a bad review, but it deserved it. We were seated and were not given menus and had to ask for them. Took forever for them to give any bread out while we wait for food. And with the bread basket, there was a used butter in the basket!!! So disgusting! When we got the food, it was bland and watered down. The pizza had no marinara on it and was too cheesy and wasn't cut well. The tortellini devinci was the only thing I was satisfied with. We are now waiting on a box for our pizza and a to go drink that we asked for 15 minutes ago. I am writing this review while waiting to get the check. Veryyyy understaffed! Probably won't be back and won't recommend to my friends in Choctaw. read more
