Just ordered a grilled chicken salad that comes with Bacon cheese and tomato I also added and was charged for bell pepper and onion! All I got was a box of lettuce sum cheese and bought 5 strips of chicken? No bacon no onion no bell pepper and no tomato! Sad very sad! Threw it in trash! Will never darken their door again! If you don't want my money? So be it ! Horrible place! read more

Do not recommend the buffet. Only one person working besides the cook and the place was very crowded and people still coming in. Food was mediocre at best and there was very little food on the buffet at one time. The one employee was constantly apologetic but for the price of 2 buffets and drinks, the experience should be much better. read more

I grew up on Giovanni's pizza. I Always like to have it when I come home. This time it we got a 18 inch plain cheese and an 1 18 inch sausage/ pepperoni pizza along with an antipasta salad. The cheese pizza was a little greasy but the sausage/ pepperoni was spot on. The antipasta salad is loaded with ham, pepperoni, black and green olives, mozzarella cheese, tomato, ham and lettuce. It is a meal in itself and I definitely recommend getting the house red dressing for your salad. If you are in the area and need a pizza, I recommend stopping by for a bite to eat, they have a dine in or carry out option. read more

O. M. G. There was something about this business that just kept catching my eye. It just read authentic Italian pizza. I finally ordered NYE and was not disappointed!! The crust was magnifico!! I ordered a 14" deluxe and the largest cheese (for the young adult males). I did mot taste the cheese because the deluxe was everything I wanted it to be. The meat to veggie to cheese ratios were perfect! I just learned the NYE is the highest pizza demand night (competing with Super Bowl Sunday). Well if they were swamped, the pizza did not suffer one bit. The only downside is that I live ridiculously close and I don't know if my hips will be able to contain the frequency I intend to buy here. My favorite Italian/pizza restaurant closed in Washington DC, Dec, 2009 after 70 years and I have been looking anything CLOSE to them. I have found the flavor. #RIPLuigis Pizza prices are more than national chains but that is to be expected -- be prepared but know it's worth it. I can't wait to try Giovannis on 5th by Marshall U. The pizza here is great! But be prepared as they are most expensive in town and never run specials or coupons. We got a XL pepperoni and XL supreme and it cost $53! I thought they were joking when they said my total and reminded her I only ordered 2 pizzas. So I will say the quality and taste were good but be prepared to most of any chain pizza restaurant in town. read more

This is a cute little place to come and eat. We had steak sandwich and Stromboli. They were both good however we thought .80/for a topping on a sand which was a little high. Especially since we didn't get the tomatoes, lettuce or mayo. But... Still a nice place for a sand which. read more

I was staying in a nearby hotel, and called for delivery. I asked for the fries and bun to be browned a little longer. About six minutes later, I called back to add to my order. It had already LEFT FOR DELIVERY! I was worried if they got it right in 6 minutes, and done! No worries! Sandwich was delicious, (Steak sandwich) and the fries were extra crisp just as asked! Lightning fast delivery, and the guy was nice about my concern, and very polite!! Highly recommended!! :) read more

avoid the big chains and give this local a shot. outstanding cheese garlic bread, soft, sweet and perfectly browned. a generously-topped thin crust pizza was enhanced by a near perfect sauce - not too sweet but with a mild after-kick. crust was a little soft for my taste in thin, but that was all that kept it from my national top 5. add to the food a variety of diet drinks and I would be a regular if I lived here! read more

We love the pizza at Giovanni's in Barboursville, however, the quality of employee has DRASTICALLY declined. We ordered a couple pizzas by phone and were told they would be ready in 20 minutes. It took an additional 30 minutes of standing at the counter waiting for the order. Then, the obviously math impaired female employee gave me about three dollars too much change. I brought it to her attention, then she shorted me some change. Come on! At least get employees that know how to count change! Again, the pizza is usually good, but the extra wait and poor service will keep us from future business. read more
