We missed breakfast but were happy with the lunch options. The brisket pot roast is colorful and flavorful. Love the watermelon tea. Great customer service and a great ambiance. Stopped on the way traveling from Fort Worth to Colorado. Wish it was closer if only for the homemade sausage. My husband had the eggs Benedict and I had French toast. So good . If you were looking for southern charm and this is the place to go. My fiancé and I stopped in while traveling through Texas and it just so happened to be my birthday. We aren't local so we weren't familiar with the schedule and brunch was not on this day. Once they heard it was my birthday they opened up the kitchen for the brunch menu. The service was spectacular the jalapeño bacon was amazing and I wish I could come here every day. I've never had watermelon sweet tea but I'm sure to try it again. Yummy breakfast! Don't let the gas station next door deceive you, this is the happening brunch spot around here. However, it is not a full service restaurant, which I would have liked/expected based on their prices. You order at the counter, then take a number to your table. I got the Big Kahuna with a side of sweet potato kale, which was quite delicious. The sandwich is made on a bun they make themselves, and I can really tell by the freshness. The bun was dense yet still soft, and sweet. A great combo with the meat and avocado. I was able to get turkey breast instead of ham since I don't eat pork, and I really appreciated that alternative because most places don't have that option. My husband ate his Huevos Rancheros faster than I could even try it, and he went right to ordering a Coconut Creme Pie, which was my favorite part of our meal. That pie was so light and delicate, it melts in your mouth. An all around great dining experience. The only complaint I had is that the serving sizes weren't the biggest (especially for the price), and that's coming from a little people. But you do have to keep in mind that everything is made very well, and that this is probably the most artisanal breakfast experience you can find in this area. read more

Visited this place for breakfast while on a road trip. We had a good hearty meal before a long drive. The cutest cafe with the friendliest staff. They opened up their patio just for us because we had our dog with us. Ordered the Brioche French toast, huevos rancheros, omlette and avocado toast. The food was good and the ingredients were fresh. I'm trying to think of the best way to compliment this bakery. I've owned and operated a bakery so that's one 5 star opinion I have. I'll say though as a guest from out of town on a business trip staying at an international hotel brand nearby who has absolutely given up on doing anything meaningful for breakfast during Covid times apparently, this place was a cross between home and grandma's kitchen. I ended up coming here 3 mornings, bringing some local friends 1 of those mornings, and telling everyone I met while in Amarillo about the place. Many have never been here or heard of it and it's been here for 5 years the owner told me. Amarilloians...come on now! This is a gem of a place. The French toast is apparently the house special and it is good for sure but so were the Chicken and Waffles and the Bali Breakfast Taco...oh my! The jalapeno bacon has changed my life forever. The scones are good but I'm a lifelong fan of Great Harvest's scones so those will remain my favs. This place also has tremendous coffee and I am 100% a coffee snob. The staff is conversive and very service minded but also knew I was here to work for a few hours on the computer (great wifi by the way) and let me be. It's a 30 seat/8 table cafe style with 2 high tops, a 6 top, 2 bench options, and 2 4 tops and a 2 top in the configuration I saw but I saw a family of 8 pull some tables together and were just fine. Team members are masked which is appreciated and the bathroom might be the nicest I have ever seen including in my own bakery where we were pretty militant about it. It is beside a gas station which makes my fill up on the way back to Dallas super convenient and is about a half mile off of I-40. Plenty of parking as well and no traffic at all in the lot. Just a perfect, perfect breakfast or lunch spot and work area for the me the last 3 days. Don't know when I'll be back in Amarillo but when I am this is stop #1...and 3, 5, and 9. read more

Wow! Just driving through and was hangry... their jalapeño bacon is to die for! I wish I could try everything on their menu but alas I must keep on keeping on. Definitely next time I drive through I will eat there again you can tell they use fresh high quality products and ingredients. My husband said that it was the BEST huevos rancheros he has ever had and we took some pastries for the road. They were soft and delicious and I do not really like peanut butter cookies but I loved their's! There was a wonderful little store kitty in the snow and the southern hospitality was awesome! You won't be disappointed if you stop on by. Oh..it was a little difficult for me to find the place because I am not from there but it is behind a gas station which made it easy for me to get gas and bottled waters to hit the road again. read more

the only thing I found wrong here was the self serve coffee. Not for the taste, but for the easy spread of covid. The food was all fabulous tasting and plated beautifully. Passing through Amarillo and found this gem. The owner and staff were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. My husband ordered eggs, pancakes, bacon -- had to try and was jealous because they were the best gluten free pancakes I've ever had. The jalapeño bacon was really yummy as well. I ordered the yogurt with homemade granola and fruit and really enjoyed it. My daughter loved the special - delicious biscuit with fluffy eggs, ham, blackberry onion jam. We were en route to CO and looking forward to our breakfast at this place. I phoned just to make sure that they're open. Since COVID many businesses have changing hours, which is understandable. The lady who answered the phone was rude. I simply asked if we could do take out. Instead of a short yes or no, she gave me a mini lecture how busy they're and she has people waiting in the line and they have been more than patient etc etc and hung up. Go figure... Perhaps do NOT answer the phone next time. We picked a different business and were very happy with the service and the food. I'm a HUGE fan of this place. The staff now knows me by name. I'm starting to come every weekday that I'm free - even all alone!! Id care- I crave it! The food is EXCELLENT! The owner is so sweet and works her rear off. TIP: Splurge and take home the granola ( available at the checkout counter on left). So yum! My favorite: The Nancy with Salmon on top! It's a bit pricy, but it's a large portion, lots of fish ( and great quality) and it fills me up ( which is hard to do).
