I found this salon as it is in my area and when I first arrived I requested someone that is a MASTER at blonde hair. I was very particular and YES picky. Blonde hair is an art. I was paired with one of the stylists and I believe higher ups at this salon, however I won't name names out of respect. On the first visit I had a great experience, she was very personable and listened to what I wanted. I came in with a picture and showed her. The pic was of a shadow root and lighter/more natural towards the ends. She nailed that. However as time when on I became a little upset that I was paying a very high price and the entire time, other than the foil placements, I was with an assistant. This includes the wash and the dry. Meanwhile she was seeing other clients. I truly believe that getting your hair done is a personal experience and that if you're paying for someone who is a master at certain things, then they should be tending to you the entire time. Maybe not ALL the time if they need to slip in a quick cut or whatever. As the seasons changed I told her that I wanted a BRIGHT bleach platinum blonde. I showed her realistic photos of what I meant and I HAVE always had bright blonde. The photos were of my OLD hair before coming here. It just wasn't happening. I couldn't figure out if her formulas were off, she played it too safe or she just wasn't listening, I don't know but I eventually got fed up. I was spending in the $300s (which I have shoulder length hair) and then I felt guilty because of course tips are the norm... but I was tipping the main stylist for work I wasn't happy with on top of the assistant doing all the work. I was told I had "blonde blindness" which I felt a little offended by as I have ALWAYS had blonde hair. I am not a newbie at this. As all of this was happening I noticed the health of my hair declining badly. I noticed breakage all around my face and the ends felt like straw even with using purology and other good brands at home. I was surprised that the hair was so brittle and I wasn't even as blonde as I use to be. I finally found an amazing stylist locally who nailed what I had been asking for all along. She told me that a ton of my hair had broken off and that the damage was from overlapping of foils, which is a no no apparently. I cannot speak for any other stylists in the salon and the atmosphere is very clean and inviting. For me, I let my feelings ride at first about not having the stylist tend to me because if the work was great then fine. But all in all, I wasn't happy. Attached is a photo the new stylist took of all the breakage. In conclusion if you're seeking BRIGHT, platinum type blonde, this may not be the salon for you.

I have been a loyal client of the Texture room for 4 years, coming every 2 months for the last 2…read moreyears. My stylist was Chelsea. Apparently she left the salon between my last visit and this one. I took a half a day off of work, drove the 30+ minutes to the salon, only to be told Chelsea's not there anymore and I no longer have an appointment. No call, text, or email (all of which they have and have used in the past) telling me my appointment was canceled. No heads up that my stylist left and asking if I wanted to switch to another one. Nothing. The receptionist was polite and let me know the manager wasn't in but she would let her know to contact me. I received a call later saying they would try to get me in with another master stylist - but then they asked what services I was getting! Chelsea is a master stylist - we talk about what we want to do, she makes it happen. I don't want or need to know the name of the services it goes under - I just want it done. I have spent thousands of dollars at this salon between my haircuts and color, my daughter's haircuts and tinsel application, and purchasing products. For them to cancel my appointment with no communication and then to apparently have no information available about my normal processes is just too much. While the stylists are lovely, the management is terrible. Find a stylist at a different Aveda salon where they value their customers.

Unbelievable!!! I came in for a simple gel manicure today. I have 4 out 10 gel left on my fingers…read more So the tech just need to take off 4 gel nails off and do a new set of gel manicure. She looked at me and told me to peel the rest off myself. She meant that I already peeled 6 off, why didn't I peel all of them? Then she sat there and waited for me to do it myself. I said if I could, why would I come here for. Then she started using her bare hand and tried to peel the old gel off my fingers. OMG!!! I have never been to a nail salon that do this kind of service. She definitely should be fired. I walked out immediately. Responding to the manager's response below, the nail technician did not file my nails at all. She suggested that I peel the gel on my nails or she would peel it by her hands. This was not a professional procedure for a gel manicure. I could not believe that you blamed customer for the unprofessional service that was provided by your employee. The picture showed how my nails when I walked in and exactly how when I walked out. Your technician did not do anything except offering to peel off the gel by her hands. I wish you, as a manager/owner, had handled this situation in a better way but you failed badly. ***Responding to the manager's 2nd response: I have gotten my gel manicure here numerous times. They wrapped my nails in foil with acetone numerous times. This was the first tim here and in my life time that I was asked to peel off my old gel by myself at a salon by a nail technician. And also, this was the first time that I experienced a technician would use her hand to peel off the old gel to start a gel manicure. First response, the manager claimed that it was unintentional the drill went into my nail bed. Then in the 2nd response, she changed the story that I refused to soak my nails because I didn't want them to take off the top layer of the gel (which was not true). Something was not straight here. Again, I had been to this salon for gel manicure over two years now. I am sure 100% know how a gel manicure was done. This time was just an odd and unexceptable one. And the manager escalated the situation and blamed it all to client. Unbelievable of a business practice and ethics!
