My car inspection was rejected by Jiffy Lube for dim lamps, wiper blades and a hose leak. I got the car fixed and some of the items were not even an issue according to my mechanic but he swapped out a hose that had no leak anyway. I ended up going here because of the rating, and I am glad I did. The guy knew where I went based on the comments on the inspection report, did the inspection right away and I was out of there in about 1/3 the time I was at Jiffy Lube. I needed to get my brother's car inspected in NH before the end of the month, and I live in MA, and it was the 29th day of the month. I called around to a few places and they couldn't get me in for a couple of days. I called Guiffre auto, and they were very responsive. I was able to bring the car in that afternoon and was in and out in about 10 minutes. Very nice guy and very accommodating. I checked the reviews first before I went here, and now that I've been, I totally understand the great reviews. Reasonable guy, reasonable prices and they understand service! I guess I was supposed to get my car inspected 2 months ago, but that's hard, bkuz I kind of live in a different state from where it's registered (I think I owe MA $2,000 in parking fines, bkuz they are JERKZ!). When a wheel fell of my car in Roxbury over the summer, and my brakes developed a greater thirst for brake fluid, I thought: $$$$$$$!!! But time after time, and near-death experience after near-death experience, I have been able to get my car inspected at Giuffre without sinking $$$$$x!!!!! in2 repairz. When NH started including Smog with the inspection, I was ready to push my car off a pier, but it passed! The inspection seems to be the cheapest around ($35), and I was in and out within 10 minutes. Called around the region for 4 new brake rotors and pads with installation for my 2005 Mercury Montego and MOST dealers wanted $500-$900 - Giuffre advertised and completed it for $300.00 with a two year warranty, with parts from Parts+ across the street. He also changed my transmission oil for a reasonable $80.00 and I will be there in 4,000 more miles to have him flush my radiator! And he did this on a Saturday at my convenience. He's a scam artist!!! I went to Giuffre's a couple of years ago because he was the cheapest around for a tire rod.. Turned out fine so I have been going back ever since.. Well he was suppose to work on my truck and do the rear differential.... ended up quoting 4X as much as anywhere else before even looking so I told him not to bother... calls me back half hour later saying he's charging me for draining the fluids because he went in and did it at "3am"... My step-mom's car developed an oil leak that had steadily been getting worse. Oil all over engine with that cooked oil smell from the engine heat. Regular mechanic didn't want to touch it. Dropped it off at Giuffre's, got a call later that day that the leak had been found coming from a part mounted just above the oil filter housing. Owner told me that it would cost a couple hundred dollars and take an extra day because the engine was not commonly found in the USA (24valve V6 HO engine specially ordered from dealer). Two days and a couple hundred dollars later step-mom is driving around in a car that don't leak and don't stink of cooked engine oil. Owner made money, car got fixed - everyone was happy. read more

So I evaluate services for a living and usually have to be paid to do this but I am writing this review because it's just right. I went to get an inspection as I just moved to NH. I did not make an appointment and thought I might have to wait. He took my car right away. He hooked up the machine and ran it. He was professional, friendly, and it went well and it was not some long drawn out ordeal. I would have been done in 10 minutes but (Ugh I never knew window tint is a no-no in NH, boo for that so with his help, I removed the tint.) He helped clean it up for me and took his time, never rushed. Then, sticker time! Now my car has a lovely orange colored (Thanks again NH for that) They should allow a color choice like blue or pink but nope, Don't-hit-the-orange-cone-Orange it is! Anyway, even though I live about an hour north of here, I will go back, not only for that lovely ORANGE sticker but any repairs or upkeep I need. My family in Salem never even knew the place was there so when you go (It's on the side of the gas station building) The owner and this business are both pretty darn awesome. They are reasonably priced, too! read more
