Great owners very professional. staff very thorough in checking your vehicle until recently I guess the guy at the front desk was too busy on his headset the whole time to care what the customer saying. I go in for an oil change I tell him my car was leaking fluid might be oil. The guy changes the oil tells me there's no problem so I leave. Come to find out the transmission fluid was mixing with the oil the oil was out of the car by time I was down the block in the car was overheating. the radiator and heater hose was loose. How do you not notice the oil and the transmission fluid is mixing together. Get that guy out of there he's not paying attention to the car or the customer. read more

Absolutely a solid business, Mike, the owner is simply a stand up person. I've been bring my car in for inspections and oil changes for the past 6 years. Here's the really concise breakdown of my recent repair experience with Mike and his business. I bring in my car for an oil change, my car is ailing, but I ask Mike to help me locate an exhaust leak towards the engine. (Me)This will fix it. -Drivers Side Manifold I ask for a quote and receive one after the part was looked up. Leave my car. Not too long after I reach out to Mike and share with him a few of the symptoms the car was showing me that I hoped the repair would remedy. Mike carefully explains how in fact this would not solve my issue. As we talked further and I tell him a few other thing I've noticed with the car, I was then thoughtfully walked through some frank realities of what I would most likely be encountering on my return on investment, this from an experienced mechanic/savvy businessman's perspective. I'm fully convinced, I'll take back the car as is. I ask how much do I owe, not only did he not accept any amount, nor a tip, but he offered me clean insight as to why this is only way he would conduct this type of transaction. The several hundred dollars saved is really the side point. I'm always skeptical of auto body shops because I don't have a lot of knowledge about cars and have had places try to take advantage of that before. I've been to this place several times for basic maintenance like oil changes, inspections, etc.. They have reasonable prices and don't try to sell you stuff you don't need. They are fast and communicate well. I plan on going here for all my car stuff and would recommend them to everyone. read more

Lowell Auto Service is a terrific organization operated by a VERY savvy mechanic by the name of Michael. My wife has a 1999 Jaguar XK8 (sports car) and, you'll never believe it, a 1998 Jaguar XJ8 (sedan). No challenge offered by these two cars have even slightly "phased" Michael - he knows - or knows where he can find out about - every potential problem with Jags. My 2013 Chevrolet Impala continues to roll-right-along because of his skill in fixing anything that needo his loving attention. This place is great. I needed an oil change and an inspection sticker and my mechanic had double booked appointments so I was out of luck getting it done through them. I needed some place that didn't require an appointment. I discovered this place because of the positive reviews and no appointment was necessary. Brought my car in at 8:30 and was done with an oil change and the inspection sticker within a half hour. The owner was very friendly and nice. I bought a used car here and have been very happy with my purchase. Corin and the others at Lowell Auto Service were very friendly, gave me the history of the car and a free report, and answered all of my questions. I felt very comfortable and not like I was being pressured into something. They were also very helpful in getting all the RMV forms together and even helping me find the place. Anyway, after quite a bit of hunting around and research for a car, it was nice to have a positive experience and drive home in just the right car for me. I have not had any problems with the car and I don't expect I will any time soon. Lowell Auto Service the BEST, Michael and his team are AWESOME!!! the first time someone referred me to his garage. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of extremely beneficial information on car problems/solutions. Even when other mechanics couldn't figure out what the problem was with my car, Michael DID and successfully repaired it. He even offered to drop me home that day as my car was still being worked on. He was extremely friendly and most importantly, GENUINE and HONEST, which most auto-mechanics and auto-repair shops are NOT nowadays! He gave me very valuable information on future upkeep on my car and answered ALL of my dozens of questions. I actually live in Boston but came here for my and my husband's car inspections. Everyone rated in the nicest, friendliest, most helpful people I've ever worked with at an auto service location. They made sure we were all set for car registration then, when we returned for the inspections, they were efficient and explained everything. Michael Isaak and his team have been taking care of both of my cars since the day I bought them used over seven years ago. Lowell Auto Service has ensured they have always gotten me to where I'm going--reliable like new to this day. They are currently 17 years old (VW Passat) and 16 years old (Honda S2000) and they both remain in top condition. The mechanics there have always gone the extra mile for me. A rough idle situation that was beyond a VW dealer's ability to diagnose was what brought me to Lowell Auto Service in the first place, and Michael's team had it sorted and resolved with a day. (Vacuum lines on VW's are a labyrinth deftly solved via a little smoke through the system--at least if you understand engines and the trick).
