Kingsport location was very clean and the food was terrific. We order vegan dishes for the first time and we enjoyed them so much.

Monday and Tuesday they have specials on pasta dishes. Definitely a great value with soup or salad, amazing breadsticks and above average pasta. I ordered the pasta del mare and it was fantastic. Service was exceptional. If you haven't tried Giuseppe's you are missing out! read more

No waiting at all and we had a party of 6 nice selection of wines and Martini's waiter was in total control of whole area around us and performed wonderfully, all our food was ordered without him writing it down and everything was correct when it arrived at our table... I was hungry for Italian food. My favorite is Chicken Francisco . The most amazing food. I also ordered Chicken parmigiano. With marinara. Absolutely amazing. The bread was great, too much olive oil but addicting. Got it to go and even more delicious reheated the next day for breakfast. I dined alone on a Wednesday evening. The restaurant was relatively busy. I was seated promptly and the service was very good. I liked the atmosphere. I was surprised to find what felt like an "authentic" Italian restaurant in Kingsport, TN. The lighting was right, the table settings, décor and dress was all in line with what I consider to be Italian. I started with the pasta e fagioli soup and it was excellent. They brought out fresh focaccia bread that was excellent as well. I had the Gnocchi. The dumplings were tender and delicious. The sauce as very flavorful and had the right amount of meat to compliment the gnocchi. I very much enjoyed the entre. Gnocchi is a heavy meal so I was not expecting to have dessert. However, I saw the server sharing the dessert tray with a nearby table and I had to take a look too. They have a great selection of dessert. They look very good and many of them were original. I'm not sure of the name of the dessert I got. It was a sort of cake with a cheese filling. It was very good. My server was very attentive. I found the prices to be very reasonable and I think the restaurant is a great value. If I liked closer I would dine there often. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town. read more

One of us orders was a plain Alfredo pasta dish and it came out as a seafood Alfredo. We brought it up to the waitress and she apologized. We received several recommendations for this place so we decided to try it. When we first arrived, we were standing at the hostess station waiting. The hostess and our waiter were standing at the drink bar and ignored us until we walked over to them. Not a great start! Then we ordered oysters Rockefeller, which were caked with about half an inch of bread crumbs and were terrible. My husband ordered the special, which was pasta fagioli...the soup that came was ok but definitely NOT pasta fagioli! The garlic bread never arrived until the meal came and was chewy and soaked in grease. The spaghetti sauce tasted like it came from a can and everything in general was very bland. Besides the food not being good, a couple was seated behind us who were obviously high, reeked of pot, and spent part of their visit doing sexual stuff in the booth right behind me! No one asked them to leave, which made for an interesting dining experience, to say the least. I had no idea I was getting dinner and a show! To top that off, the gentleman in that booth was talking so loud that we could hear every detail. Definitely NOT going back or recommending it to anyone looking for authentic Italian food. read more

Went to this place actually over a year ago and still have thoughts about the rudest receptionist I have ever met as I drive by everyday going to and from work. We didn't even get seated we just walked out. Just a suggestion, it is probably not the greatest idea to be snappy, rude, and condescending to people that haven't been to your "business" and do not know that you have to have reservations to eat there. read more

Finally a authentic Italian meal in the south. Having lived in New Jersey and worked in Manhattan for a number of years, I know what good Italian food is. I have lived in the south for over twenty years and this is the first Italian meal I could even begin to compare with those found in the family owned Italian restaurants in the New York area. I had the Veal Marsala which came piping hot and was absolutely delicious. The sauce on the pasta side was fresh and clean tasting. The garlic bread sticks were very tasty as well. When dessert time came around the enticing selection was hard to choose from. I had the lemon pound cake with fresh berries. It was very good. Oh and did I mention that the portions are very generous. If you are traveling up or down I-81, take the time to swing by this wonderful piece of New York in Kingsport, TN. I went with family after a graduation at 5 pm on a Saturday night. We made reservations for 8 and we were seated promptly. We ordered drinks and we were all please with our selections (wine, soda, and Shirley temples). We ordered our food and each entree came with choice of soup or salad and pasta, baked potato or vegetable. We were served delicious breadsticks and our waitress happily refilled our basket after we devoured them. The food was excellent, and this is coming from a New Jersey resident where delicious Italian restaurants are just around nearly every corner. The red sauce good - not overly sweet like many tend to be. It was perhaps a little bland but could easily be seasoned. The chicken, veal and eggplant parmigiana were cooked perfectly and quite delicious. The fettuccine Alfredo was a creamy, thick sauce and the chicken in the dish was perfect. My only regret is that I didn't have a cannoli or even steal a bite from my cousins plate, but I was just too stuffed after a delicious meal. read more

Ordered the stuffed shells, the marinara sauce tasted just like plain tomato soup and all you get is the stuffed shells I'm just used to getting spaghetti with the stuffed shells. My husband and I recently moved here and we thought we give this restaurant a try. I ordered spaghetti carbonara and my husband had the veal osso bucco. My pasta was amazing! The salads were fresh and crisp. My husband loved his osso bucco, his only complaint is that it was covered in a vegetable sauce. The celery was overwhelmingly strong. We think it would taste much better with a beef/mushroom sauce. He usually gets it served with polenta at other places, but they served it with fettuccine which he enjoyed as well. All I can say is nope!!!!!!... food was not tasty at all!!! .. bread was dry and covered in garlic!!!!! My friend had ordered the spinach and angel hair pasta. It was covered in oil and had zero taste! The restaurant also looked like an old, dirty and dark cafeteria. Not a pleasant atmosphere. I can deal with the food.. that can be fixed, however our server was awful! His name was Charlie and he was so rude to us. Slammed our food down on the table and was very short with us. If he asked us how we were doing or if we needed anything, he did it in passing so we could never actually answer him! The atmosphere matched the horribleness of the waiter. It was quite a bummer, because we were very excited to eat here because we heard such great things... well now if I could give negative stars I would. Big bummer!!! read more

I crunched on a bug more than halfway through my meal. I had ordered the gnocchi with spinach and sun dried tomatoes. It was very tasty until just a little more than half way through my meal, / I bit into something that was extremely bitter and had a slight crunch to it. I took it out of my mouth and put it on the side of the plate and went to the bathroom to spit out what was in my mouth. When I got back to the plate and looked at it more closely, there was a wing and a leg clearly visible. I showed it to the waiter who took it to the manager who said it was the end of a garlic which can get a little crunchy and bitter. I know garlic and this was not charred or overcooked garlic. I don't appreciate their attitude they didn't take responsibility and denied that it was a bug. Never again! read more

I went in and had an amazing late lunch here with a colleague. We both started with a soup du jour that was incredible. I believe it was a Mango Brie soup. If this is incorrect, I do wish that someone will correct me. I typically do not eat much bread unless I am back in Europe, but we both indulged and were pleasantly surprised. My colleague had the crab claws and I had the clams. We also ordered a bottle of Riesling to share which paired perfectly with our dishes. My colleague had one of their house specials and I opted for the cannelloni. The cannelloni was incredible. I must admit that I am not a huge fan of Italian cuisine normally as I do not enjoy pasta much and typically in the USA, this is mostly all that you will find. So, I oftentimes opt for a risotto when dining in Italian restaurants. The server was very helpful as she was very well-versed on all of the selections and even made suggestions. She never let our wine glasses go empty and never once was our water lacking. My colleague and I both said that everything we tried was amazing and would definitely return upon our next visit to the area. I must not forget to mention that the ambiance was balanced enough to provide some sort of privacy, but still quite convivial. We even stayed after our meal to enjoy conversation. Never once did we ever feel rushed. This was a great experience and memory. If you find yourself in Kingsport or feeling up for the excursion, I absolutely recommend that you visit Giuseppe's! read more
