So me and my husband tried this place out for the first time. The place has a nice homely kind of atmosphere. Very clean, and very presentable. You can sit at a table, or you can sit at a booth. The workers were extremely polite and professional toward me and my boyfriend to say the very least. From the moment we walked in, we were instantly seated at a booth by our request. Not much longer after we were seated, the Waitress came by to take our drink orders. He got a Dr. Pepper and I got a Diet Coke. Let me start by saying this Waitress was VERY attentive to our table. About 5-10 minutes later, she came back to ask if we knew what we wanted to order. I wanted to get a medium Pizza but asked if we could get one half cheese and the other half pepperoni. She said we can definitely do that. About 10-20 minutes passed and here comes our Pizza. Nice and fresh! So much you could see the steam rising from it! The taste of this pizza was out of this world. Enough to make my mouth start salivating. The perfect combination of Crust/Dough/Sauce/Cheese. When you would remove a slice, it would leave a long and delicious trail of stringy cheese behind as you removed it from the whole pizza. Part way through our dinning experience, the Waitress came back and asked if we wanted a refill on our drinks which we said yes please. The quality/flavor of the drinks were top notch, let me just say that. There's something about having soda at a restaurant that makes it taste better than when you drink the same drink at home. When the waitress came back, she asked if we needed anything else. I told her "Check Please" She politely said, "right away sir" before going to get the check. So here's the interesting part, A medium half and half pizza, and two drinks. How much do you think that cost? Under $20! Such amazing quality Pizza for such a low price. We got all of the above for less than what you would pay to have Pizza Hut deliver you a Pizza. All in all, this was the first time me or my boyfriend had ever dined her. I intentionally held off on eating here when I knew he was moving to Kingsport Tennessee. And let me just say it was worth the wait. The food here is incredible! I'll definitely be coming back to eat here in the future! Or at least that's what my opinion of them was BEFORE Tonight on 10/17/2024... And I quote: "So this location is a place me and my husband enjoyed going to time and time again. We would always get the same thing. He would get a Dr. Pepper. I would get a Diet Coke. And we would get a Medium Cheese Pizza. This was all fine and good, til they did the one thing to cross the line. They Tip Shamed Us. As we left around 8:30 PM they said to us "you guys must not like us because you never tip." We explained we are on very minimal wages. They responded "When in doubt, don't eat out" also mentioning they run on tip to make living wages themselves. This is completely unprossional and unacceptable behavior. Tipping is always optional not a requirement. Especially when the cost of living is bleeding us all dry to begin with. We paid what we were legally obligated to pay, which was the bill for the meal. The tip, is never something that is a legal obligation to pay. On top of that, an employee of an establishment should never speak to the customer the way they did. Tip Shaming is NEVER okay and should not be allowed. No body should ever pressure you to making you feel like you have to tip. This is the very last time, me or my husband will be dining here. I'm not only infuriated that they would take this approach to try to get a tip out of us, but to approach my husband in such a way within an earshot of me. This establishment and all of it's employees should really learn how to PROPERLY treat the customers of whom are the reason they have a pay check. And that's not even getting into the dining experience we had on this night. They were running out of Dr. Pepper and my husband could tell the difference. It tasted like carbonated water and it did not have the same color that Dr Pepper usually has. I legitimately had to flag down a waitress to have this issue resolved because they were being unattentive to us in particular. Probably because they had tip shaming on the mind on this visit. The person who served us the Pizza wasn't even the original waitress. She served the pizza and then not even in a polite tone said Have a nice night, as if to say we weren't getting any more service on this visit. The original waitress came to check up on us only one time as a pose to the usual couple of times they check up on us. To summarize my thoughts, we are never coming to this establishment ever again. If you sincerely thing tip shaming is the right way to get a tip out of someone, you sincerely need to get over yourself. Now, not only do you not get a tip, you have lost 2 loyal customers and landed yourself a bad review in the process. I hope it was worth it." read more

I love this restaurant it is my favorite place to eat in Kingsport area. I always get the Village Greek salad but I changed it up a bit and tried pasta Primavera and it was amazing. The service is always great,so is the food.I highly recommend this restaurant I don't know why such low stars before every time we have been there it has been a great experience. The restaurant itself is very cute. I love the decorations, but I am in love with all of their food and all of their desserts. I will add more desserts to my review later on when I get more pictures but I highly recommend eating there. read more

The food was amazing Chicken Carbonara .Pizza was best in town Veggie Supreme had both thin and hand tossed crust. Loved Cheese Stromboli in a marinara sauce perfect. Hot Chicken Philly sub. The Cheese Burgers my wife really likes. And dot forget the dessert. My God a little expensive $7.00 a slice but it weighs 2 pounds and four(4) people can share. Lol. Carrot Cake, Carmel Chocolate. Mad Greek has AMAZING desserts. You can't go wrong with Baklava or Lemon bougatsa. Skip lunch and just have dessert if you want you only live once. read more

I'm not on to complain but gotta put it out there. Well I eat here 2 to 3 times a week for lunch. Love the food and the staff are fast and friendly. Early last week I got an Italian sub and all the meat including the bread was burnt to a crisp. I didn't go back for a week and the staff was like ... omg I thought you weren't ever coming back because of ur food.... So I ate there yesterday when they asked me that. I ordered the same thing and it came out perfectly! So I went back today and I'll be darned if I don't get the same Burnt to a crisp sub. So needless to say there is a pattern with certain people, like I said I'm here 2-3 if not more times a week with 2 -4 people. But now I can't take a chance not to get my food right. I don't know why this place got only three stars. The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and the place was spotless. They're practicing social distancing the at the tables right now and they have takeout. If I lived in the neighborhood I would frequent this place often. I ordered the gyros platter with two sides and a salad. I had to box up my salad, half my sandwich, and my pasta salad. I did eat all the broccoli! Its so good I wanna give it 10 stars but thats not possible so i give it 5. Literally my favorite restaurant in the area. They have never let me down and there pizza is SO good. They also have amazing customer service! There waiters/waitresses are so so kind. I went in on my birthday and one of them gave me a card and a necklace. They also give you your food very fast. I've never had to wait a long time. And did I mention how AMAZING there cakes are? They are the best in kingsport. Mad Greek is the best of the best. 10/10 would recommend. read more

The kids went Italian and loved the chicken carbonara, meatball appetizer and fettuccine Alfredo. Also all delicious. The service was on point. Polite, fast and helpful when we had questions. Our server was friendly, but the service was slow, and the food just wasn't that good. It didn't taste like there was any seasoning. It also didn't really taste like Greek food. If you've had good Greek food, when you eat here, you'll know this isn't it. Not really a big deal, and I know it's difficult in the service industry amidst the pandemic - so I wasn't going to write this review, until we overheard the "manager" talking to the table next to us. She absolutely threw the server attending to the table under the bus, blaming her for their poor experience rather than apologizing! It was so unprofessional and in my opinion was the most unacceptable part of the dinner. We aren't from here, but hear that the Bristol and Johnson City locations are much better. I am a skittish eater so new restaurants all but make me break out in hives we decided to play it safe and have a sub the 1st time. They were very tasty and the greek potatoes as a side were heavenly! It was very difficult to narrow down the dessert to only 1 but I finally decided on the Italian Berry. Oh wow!!! Beware of the "CHECK OUT FEE". Food was ok, but kind of expensive (small soup and two salads, 1 coke and coffee). $31.64 and CHECK OUT FEE,

Pros: White pizza and my bacon / sausage pizza were good. Cons: Two of our six diners got a chicken dish that was inedible and returned. The waitress did the right thing by asking what was wrong with it, what they could do to improve, etc., which was all nice and logical. She returned to thank us for our feedback and said because of it, they decided to butterfly their chicken now so it wouldnt be so tough. That's all well and good, and you're welcome for the suggestions... but why did we still have to pay for those two dishes? They weren't eaten. And the free baklava was nice but hardly sufficient to make up for two $15+ entrees. Those dishes should've been taken off the check. Now our party of six will likely not return for another try. This used to be a favorite for delicious food, but it has gone way downhill. Food was bland and cake was dry a few weeks ago. We thought it was just an off night. Sadly no. Again tonight, Food had no flavor. Service was not there, never checked on us. We couldn't find her to get our bill, so we just had to continue to sit with empty drinks. We should have gone to Waffle House, much better prices and consistent food. Mad Greek will not last long if they don't go back to how good they used to be. Bring back the flavor, please. And sound friendly, check on your diners. At $50 for dinner for two, you better step it up in Kingsport. Huge disappointment again tonight. Not going back unless we hear you have improved. read more

I had a call in order today and based on this meal I do not plan to eat here again. Been putting it off for awhile so I broke over and ordered the three meat barbecue platter even though I thought barbecue at a Greek restaurant didn't sound right. Well I was correct, they need to leave the barbecue to the experts. Simply put, it was awful. May have eaten a fourth of it, rest went to trash can. My wife had the smothered chicken. Find a Greek Restaurant in this area is a feat, finding a really good one is a blessing to the palette. We went the The Mad Greek tonight and were wowed with both the food, (Awesome Gyro, Falafel, Gyro Plate and one othe r, sorry don't remember the name) but ALL of them were spectacular, fresh Pita, real tzatziki sauce. A really tasty Zesty Feta Dip and crazy good Pita chips. And for desert Italian Berry Cake, heavenly (we were hoping to try the Hummingbird cake but missed out on the last few slices), and everything was like we had in Greece. stopped in here today, being a fan of Greek food I hoped it would be good, it was a waste of money! I asked if they had saginaki a Greek appetizer with cheese, they didn't, but they had Italian. Yeah no, I said I came there for Greek food. The waitress didn't say hello as she walked by several times trying to handle the one table of three that sat down ahead of me. God forbid take 2 tables drink orders and then get the drinks. I had the feta cheese app, not bad, hard to discern a feta flavor, no avgo lemono soup and the mousaka was the worst I had ever tasted.
