I used Steve a few years back and he did a great job clearing out our side of our house. However, it seems like things have just fallen apart since they changed their name to "Give Us A Hauler." We tried scheduling them last year and asked for a quote to remove some dirt and they never came by after saying they would or ever reached back out. We figured it was a one off while we were in the pandemic so let it go and found someone else. Now we tried to scheduled a pickup for something different and after telling us Monday or Tuesday, it became Thursday. That later became 11 days later for no apparent reason. You would think that a business located one block away would do better for the local community, but it appears that they do not care about how they conduct their business. read more

I called around 2pm for an estimate to haul away a full sized mattress and box spring and Linda gave me a quote that was 1/3 of what the competitors were estimating AND she was even able to give me a same day appointment. We had a pile of trash/junk that needed to be removed from our driveway. We were going to rent a bin and dispose it ourselves, but we are glad we didn't! We spoke to Linda on the phone and she was so helpful, providing us will all the info we needed and a general quote. Their pricing is very fair! Great Work....Thank You...Hired them to remove a giant patio cover that was extremely well built 15x30...He showed up on time and started to work right away... Smart man he knew right where to cut the beams to relieve pressure while not having it come crashing down.... within the day he finished it cleaned up hauled it all to truck and even ground down the sharp edges on a bracket that couldn't be removed to a smooth edge so we wouldn't cut ourselves .... he thought of everything.... Would I recommend him YES.... Both Linda and Steve are amazing and wonderful; honestly there are just not enough words to describe them and their service! I needed to get three pieces of furniture removed. Scheduling the removal was very easy and simple with Linda's help. I really appreciate her willingness to communicate mostly via text with me since phone calls are more difficult for me to allocate time for given my schedule. When the day came, she notified us about 15min prior to Steve's arrival. Once he saw the setup, he knew exactly how he'd get the items out of the apartment with far ease and in less time than I would've had I done it myself. It was pretty impressive to watch. I highly recommend Steve's Hauling. His wife, Linda, was awesome on the phone with scheduling and gave me an accurate cost estimate. Steve called about 20 minutes before showing up, and came within the window scheduled. Steve hauled away 2 TV's and some other large items for us. One of the TV's was very heavy and upstairs, but Steve got it loaded up and downstairs with no problem (by himself). Steve was polite and got the job done quickly. He's started by helping me unload my truck after a Home Depot run, then helped me uninstall 2 toilets that I wanted to get rid of. After recently moving from a house to a townhouse we knew we had to get rid of some things. So after turning to Yelp I discovered there was going to be a bit of a problem; not necessarily a bad one either. If you were like us then you were probably wondering which of the bountiful 5-star hauling services in the Costa Mesa and surrounding areas we should go with. I began the hunt and everyone seemed to be helpful, but maybe it was Linda's charm that got me. She quoted us a price over the phone and said Steve would be able to stop by that afternoon! I was a bit hesitant at first because the prices Linda quoted us were good; so good that some of the other moving companies couldn't believe it. I decided to trust my instincts as well as my fellow Yelpers and went with Steve. Upon arrival Steve was very polite. Between calling Linda and Steve coming we found another coffee table and an old desk that we didn't need as well. With the two items tacked on he quoted the price just a bit above what Linda quoted us. He loaded the items up quickly and was done before we knew it! I was so astounded by the service that I called Linda after Steve left to say how pleased we were with the service. We talked for a bit and she even gave me some good life advice as I had just graduated college. I decided to ask about a mattress and box spring removal... and most places kept me on the phone asking many questions before telling me how much it was... Linda gave me a price right away and it was half the price everyone else quoted me.. I decided to go with them, and I AM SO HAPPY I DID... He has a very big truck and works very hard.. he did more than I expected.. and he charged much less than I would've had to pay had I chosen anyone else... We needed someone to haul some junk (furniture, leaves, household items, misc trash, etc) when we were cleaning out our Grandma's house after she moved to assisted living. It was almost 40 years worth of stuff and we had no idea what to do with it. When researching big name companies like 1800gotjunk and college hunks hauling junk, the reviews did not seem good. Big name brand companies like this seemed to say one thing, then do another, over charge, and just not be pleasant to work with. So when I decided to check Yelp for hauling in the OC I saw how many great reviews there were for Steve's Hauling...especially just for how nice he and his wife were. ALL THE REVIEWS ARE TRUE! It is a business that has a neighborly/friendly feel. They are super personable, and kind. Seriously Steve is so hard working and so sweet! He hauled all the junk quickly...and with a constant smile and constantly saying "no problem!" He offered help with things we weren't even asking him to do (gave us free moving boxes, swept up the garage and patio after he moved all the junk into his truck, helped us move some boxes to our truck, and helped us clean out old wood chips from our patio!) He even lent us a bunk of his tools and shovels, etc when he was there because we were doing work around the house and needed stuff like that. I hired Steve's Hauling based on their Yelp reviews, and I can say that their five star rating is fully deserved. Linda was very helpful explaining how they worked and she was easily able to accommodate my schedule. She also kept me informed of Steve's expected arrival time on the day. When Steve arrived he was close to the start of the thirty minute arrival window Linda had given me which was great. He was super personable and went out of his way to be helpful and polite. He scoped out the job before it started to make sure he removed everything in the most efficient order. He was also very respectful of my home. The job was a small one and Steve got everything done in about thirty minutes. At the end of the process Steve quoted me a final price lower that what Linda had quoted me (she did let me know that her quote was a best guess based on my description of the job over the phone). The price was very reasonable and I was happy to pay it with a little extra for Steve on top. If you're looking for someone to haul away unwanted furniture I would highly recommend Steve's Hauling. I hired Steve to remove all the junk behind my house, next to my trash cans, some heavy planters (some with plants that can really puncture your skin) area rugs and a large chair in my living room. Initially I called and spoke to his wife, Linda, who was very accommodating, working within MY schedule. We worked out a time and Steve came by yesterday. I showed him what I wanted gone and then he gave me a quote. It was slightly under what I was expecting, so he went to work. Steve was wonderful! In addition to removing everything, several times he asked me if there were any more items. And he had already given me a quote. They are a local Costa Mesa company which gave me great pleasure in supporting my own community. I had quite a bit of junk on the side of my house, a little bit of everything. I called late in the afternoon and we had Steve here by the next day. He was prompt, so courteous and as nice as can be. The pricing was extremely fair. Steve was recommended on Nextdoor, Yelp, and I got a good feeling from talking to Linda. She scheduled Steve to come out to give me an estimate...I had a LOT of junk that needed to be taken away and items I couldn't even identify buried in the leaves...and I was on a very tight budget. Steve gave me a fair and reasonable price -- when they showed up to do the job, it ended up being more than originally estimated and we added a few more things from inside the house. The guys just kept loading. When everything was done, Steve very nicely said that the estimate he'd given me was based on X and it turned out to be Y...which should have been quite an increase in the cost, but he didn't ask for Y, he simply asked if it would be okay to charge me an extra $50. I said, gratefully, Yes. When I paid the bill, I told Linda to increase it a little more because I thought it was only fair. I highly recommend this business and these folks. read more

(Which I took advantage of & got rid of EVERYTHING in one shot so I didn't have to worry about moving out anymore- lamps, boxes, dog cage, tables) All the while with a smile & genuine kindness to help.. he REALLY Goes out of his way to make sure the job is done correctly. The garage was COMPLETELY cleared out in about 15mins & he even swept it up to make it immaculate. There was nothing left behind when Steve was done.. & could NOT be happier with his service.
