The bride entered down the beautiful curved staircase and then walked down the aisle. The bride and groom recited vows under a beautiful lush green gazebo which was an amazing backdrop. The house was spacious and charming. Dinner was served after the wedding while photos of the wedding party were underway. We danced the night away with the DJ outside under the beautiful lights. When it was time to rest we sat on the wrap around porch in front of a water fountain. It's a great place to attend an event. The wedding party stayed in the house through the weekend. There are 5 rooms and they were each unique. The rooms were all spacious and the bathrooms in each room were custom and luxurious.

I wanted to love this experience and support a historic local business, but being overlooked with no acknowledgment was very disappointing, poor customer service. The furniture is dated, which I could accept as part of the charm, but the jets in the tub did not work, and that was a real disappointment since a great soaking tub is one of my wife's favorite things about a hotel like this. The bigger issue was the AC unit, which made loud noises all night and slammed on and off so hard it sounded like someone was coming through the wall. Neither of us slept well. I raised it with the front desk and they were gracious and offered to make it right and they comp the entire stay. Not necessary, but outstanding customer service! I'm genuinely glad we experienced this unique property once, and I hope the maintenance catches up to the hospitality, because the team here deserves it. At this rate, though, we won't be back.
