In my experience, he showed very little patience with children and seemed easily frustrated. I was honestly surprised by how he interacted with both kids and parents. He was pushy about treatments and appeared more focused on charging fees upfront than on fully explaining the procedures. At times, we were charged before the work was completed, and then told we would receive "credit" for the next visit. When we asked questions or expressed concerns, he did not directly address them. Instead, he rushed through explanations and dismissed our input. As parents, we felt our opinions were not valued. We were also pressured to use laughing gas for our child when we felt it wasn't necessary. When we asked about alternative approaches, he became upset and raised his voice, insisting he would not proceed without it. Overall, the experience felt rushed, stressful, and uncomfortable. A pediatric doctor should be patient, understanding, and willing to communicate clearly with parents. Unfortunately, that was not our experience

When my daughter went through some unrelated health problems that affected her ability to stay on top of appointments, he was understanding, compassionate, and accommodating. He went out of his way to make the necessary changes needed to assure she stayed on track until completion, without any further burden to us. When my son was away and lost his retainers, the office found us a local orthodontist in another state that he could go to get scanned so he didn't have rush home or wait for replacements. In the chair, get some x-rays and then dentist, Dr Nicholas comes in to check me out and do the long overdue cleaning. Given that this is long overdue, the process was relatively painless. Afterwards, she discussed my situation, made some recommendations and we came up with a treatment plan. While the news is not all good, I cannot say enough good things about my experience here. Personally, I have terribly tusks. One could even say I am the owner of insubordinate ivory incisors.... Needless to say, Ive seen many dentist offices. From the first step inside I was beckoned to the modern front desk, riddled with computers of all shapes and sizes. To my left, a rotunda of Apples, computers that is- about 6 of them all loaded up with inviting games and graphics. Flat Screen TVs abound. The examination rooms entail the perfect blend between professional functionality and, well, FUN- perfect for extraction entertainment- a true Dental Diversion (but only for the patient) as Dr. Cooper is a truely gentle, caring, yet utterly comprehensive EXPERT in his field. My child had multiple fillings and chose the anesthesia route after discussing with the Doctor due to the amount of work. The billing staff identified a "deposit" to hold the appointment which they said would be credited to the final bill. It was not until after the procedure we were told (and shown a blank form we never signed) that it was a non-refundable office expense. Dr Delaney is part of our dental plan (Metlife) and they refused to submit the extra cost (as it not permitted as part of their contract with Metlife Dental). After much complaining, they to the billing department they finally submitted to insurance, but over inflated the cost from $300 to $1300. We identified the issue to the billing and they "re-submitted" the claim 2x times for the same $1300 amount. Billing department was completely unhelpful and actually became aggressive when we asked them to submit to Metlife properly. We paid over $700 out of pocket for covered expenses which they refused to properly bill. Just beware if it more than a routine checkup, watch out for artificial and over-inflated out of pocket costs.
