We celebrated my son's 9th birthday on a Friday at Gizmo's fun factory. We paid $89.99 for 3 hours of unlimited rides and each for a 20 points arcade game token. Also comes with a large 1 topping pizza and a large pitcher of soda. They have mini laser tag, mini go karts, zip line and arcade. There is a smaller section for younger kids to climb. My 9 years old had a blast. We also ordered wings and fries and I must say, I was surprised at how delicious the food was at a kids place. Staff was so nice and friendly. They might be young like high schoolers but they were nice and helped my kid on rock climbing. I highly recommended Gizmo if you want a place to go on a Friday night to have some fun with your kids. read more

We booked a birthday party and we got a package that has " everything included " . My husband run up and down to bring some water bottles cause nobody was there to bring and we already had all the guests in the room . Not to mention how they will steal you on the game cards that supposedly need to be charge 10$ for every extra kid but they charge us 30$ per kid . This is a great place to have a birthday party for family members, the price is reasonable for up to 10 people but they will charge you additional $25 per person. Everyone gets an unlimited wristband to play for that day which was great. The activities was great such as the laser tag and the go cart was the best for me. The worst thing about this was not the price or activities but the hygiene prep that the workers demonstrated. They did not wear protective gloves when handling the drinks. I saw them put their hands in the cups and touch the pizza and when they wore gloves, they tended to touch everything. Think they need to work on sanitation within that team. It does not phase them that people want to feel safe eating here. Parking is tight as they share lots with others. read more

Management is not trained well to handle complex situations with children. There was an issue with ticket redemption at a birthday party and management was not accommodating at all. There was no compassion for the kids or the birthday boy. He basically said all 7 of the kids were lying although each kid had the same story. It was extremely distasteful. I can tolerate the cardboard pizza but I cannot tolerate someone working at a kids establishment and not being a good and fair example to the kids. I do not recommend! Went there recently and it wasn't good. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the place itself is falling apart. We arrived in the morning and the bathrooms were disgusting. Floor was extremely wet like maybe a toilet overflowed and there was no soap. After the kids played around, we wanted to eat. None of the tables were cleaned off. When I went to ask one of the workers for napkins they were out. If you want pop you can only get it from the vending machines, their cafe doesn't sell pop. When I go to the vending machine, it only excepts cash, even though it has the credit card slot. Then I come to find out that it only excepts singles! Overall just a bad experience. Almost the entire team of staff had a piss poor attitude at my child's birthday party. The nastiness started via phone when someone called to confirm attendance for the party. The young lady at the food counter had a nasty attitude when guests were asking questions and we were being rushed in the pint sized room. Our party didn't even utilize the room for the entire hour. The scene for kids are wonderful. It's the Customer Service that sucks. I went to get something to eat. The server seen the line and when it came my turn to order she tells me the orders stop with the person in front of me. I think her name was Megan. My problem was she could of told me that before it was my time to order but insisted on making me wait 15 minutes to hear that. Then the manager let's me order but then I had to wait another 45 minutes just to get some wings now me and my kids were being rushed to eat. We had the worst experience ever with the restaurant. The cashier was arrogant when we placed our order. Had us waiting for 35 min and when I asked the manager for our food they said they didn't even had our ticket order. She gave me a pager so when our food was ready it would ring, one hour later the food was ready. I had 4 kids that had been waiting for Pizza and a fries. Nobody ever even apologize or anything. Staff is great I just think they are overwhelmed, we seen a young lady her name was Anaya (sorry if misspelled) she was amazing she helped us out tremendously and would walk around making sure things were in order. Honestly the only reason this place got the three stars are because of her. This place is dirty and vending machines don't work. Games are broke and staff instead of putting a out of order sign would yell at the kids to not play it again. For the most part staff of ok but there are some with attitudes. I give Gizmo 3 and a half stars not because of the facility but because the drink machine was broke the vending machine only took ones and no credit or debit cards. So, we ended up standing in line to get lukewarm water or apple juice. I did like the fact that the adults didn't have to pay if they weren't playing any of the games. Our party was big and we tried to push the table together but we were told that was against the rules. When you go to a restaurant and you have a big party they push the tables together so you not only enjoy the restaurant but your friends and family. Our first order of chicken wings weren't cooked all the way, but they quickly gave us another order. The pizza taste like any other pizza from any other place like this. We didn't have the Nachos but they looked great and people said it was good. The fries were tasty that's for sure. They had a variety of other food but I can't remember what it was right now. The place has a lot of different things that children and adults can do and have a safe place to play. The prices are kind of steep but I understand that's kind of the thing all over for everything. This place is amazing! My family stopped by to check it out and ended up staying four hours! Great fun for the entire family and an AMAZING staff. This facility is EXTREMELY clean and has lots of fun "gizmos" to check out. We ordered a large pizza and drinks and thoroughly enjoyed it. Adults have a bar to visit while the kids are playing. This place is AWESOME!!! I went today with my wife for a non-adulting day out. BEST DECISION, EVER!! I purchased a Groupon for 2 wristbands for 3 hours of unlimited play and $20 for play cards. It was the best deal I could've made. The prices at the location were extremely high. You must sign a waiver prior to going inside. There are computers near the wristband line to sign up. Note: anyone who goes must provide their driver's license numbers to account for the people parked in their lot. This seemed reasonable considering there are other stores next to it so their guests will not be mixed up with the other stores customers. The workers were very friendly! The attractions were fun. The games were exciting. I'd highly recommend to anyone and do not think age is a factor. There were many different ages participating inside! read more

I visited Gizmos with 15 others for a church youth outing an Saturday morning 10am. This was in fact the perfect time to visit because there was not any lines or waiting for the attractions. Gizmos is a very clan facility, you could tell that they take pride in keeping it this way because the custodial staff were every where. The laze tag, wall climbing and zip lining course was the favorite of things to do. The arcade games were the norm, they could use a little more. The food was pretty good! I did not realize this place existed until I saw a Groupon for it. Bonus, Groupon was running a sale. My friend and I took our boys ages 7, 8, and 3 years old. They all had a blast and did not want to leave. We arrived at about 1:30 pm on a Sunday, while parking was a little difficult, we walked right in and had little to no wait to check in. However, I will say that you should be aware that if you do not complete the waiver online you have to do so at a little Kiosk to the side prior, print a receipt and THEN get in line to obtain a wristband. Upon entering I did not see a sign explaining this and had I arrived at 3 pm when the place was packed and stood in line just to find out I had to complete the waiver process first, i would have been upset. The owners really put work into making this a super cute place with photo opportunities and interesting props. While sitting in the cafe with my friend I saw a guy walk around cleaning at least 3 times in a 1 hour period. However, for the size of the place there were only 3, maybe four stalls in the restroom. I am not sure if there is another restroom in the place, but if not this seems a little small. Our boys had a ball! We had a unlimited band so they played laser tag, go carts, climbing wall, zip lining, and bumper cars. They also got a few arcade games in. Prior to going someone warned of long lines but I think we arrived at a good time. Again, as we were leaving it started to get a little overwhelming. We ate at the little cafe, the service was a little slow but friendly. We had a 14" cheese pizza-$12 (it was decent-better than CEC), 3 large Chocolate Chip Cookies, a bottle of water-$1.50 and beverage. Our tab was about $30 not too bad but still a little on the high side, which is why I did not give the place 5 stars. If I had to pay full price this outing would have cost me for 2 boys, about $70. Nevertheless this is comparable to Enchanted Castle in Lombard. We look forward to coming back again. read more

Disclaimer: I'm 26 and my boyfriend is 27. We came here as a date for ourselves with no kids - so I can't rate the toddler areas. We also did not eat here and we did not play all the attractions. The games were fun, easy to win prizes. We did the spinning bumper cars which was also fun. The go-karts looked too childish for us ( wish they had a bigger track) and we also did not participate in laser tag. We got on the ropes + zip line. I am deathly afraid of heights but the staff was very encouraging and gave advice on how to tackle that fear. They were patient with me (taking forever to do the zip line). Nice that even if it's just two adults we can still have a great time being big kids. This place is super cute . I took my son and nephew here for the toddler time . There weren't many people there when we got there around 10:30 am , which was nice ! The toddler area is really cool with a lot of different slides and tubes to crawl in . The only thing I didn't like was it was some kids don't like going up to the other levels and the bottom level isn't as fun. It's 10 dollars per child for toddler time which isn't bad ! The lockers are really nice and electronic. You can access them at anytime and keep using it the time you're there . It costs 5 dollars flat charge and you can pay with credit card . The food was reasonably priced and tasted pretty good . We ordered pizza and chicken nuggets that cake with fries and apple sauce . The kids enjoyed the place a lot . GIZMOS IS THE DISASTER!!!! All we wanted is for our daughter, Paulina to have a nice birthday celebration. Three years ago my daughter had a completely different experience from the one which happened yesterday. I guess the management changed as well over there. How do I begin: Let's start the very beginning of event , the moment our host of the room # 5 was disorganized, unpolite and acted like she was working there by force rather than a pleasure. Our event got delayed because the check in and confirming all guests along with the wavers extended from 12:30pm to 1:15pm . The pizza came in late , we asked for another pitcher of soft beverages and never was given to us . Before we got out all wrists bands and passes which we provided to my daughter, her classmates and friends and kids were ready to play we were asked to leave the party room before the cake was even given to kids and we haven't gotten a chance to sing a happy birthday to my daughter. They said the time was over and the staff member started cleaning our party room without letting us know. I mean the unused plastic plates ready to serve the cake have been thrown out to the garbage. My husband asked the staff to leave these plates and she replied with: Your party time is over . We were about to serve the cake . We had to collect the rest of our stuff and moved outside of the party room to the hallway upstairs and joined two large tables together . We decided to sing a happy birthday song to our daughter regardless and serve the cake for the guests and kids. Unfortunately the unpleasant staff members have told us we couldn't be in this area and cut the cake . One of the staff members went to our daughter and slightly pushed her because it appeared like he wanted to grab the cake and throw it away to the garage . My husband got between him and our daughter , strongly suggested not to touch her and leave the cake alone . Paulina ( our daughter) started crying hysterically. The guy called the police and the police officers arrived because he wanted to press charges against my husband because the entire staff members and management couldn't handle this situation properly. The police officers said they have no right to detain my husband because he did nothing wrong and this guy had no right to touch our daughter. We had enough ,we decided to pack all our stuff and invited all of our guests to our house to make our daughter happy to continue her birthday party . Since the very beginning the party host was very chaotic , other remaining staff members were unpleasant and seemed like they had no communication skills once however. We had spend around $1,000 for 1 hour in misery , chaos and unprofessional treatment. Never again in GIZMOS. Think about TWICE people before booking your party . read more

Today was my first and last time here. I brought my 4.5year old and almost 2 year old to the Tot play area. It was a hot day so I knew it would be crowded. But not only was it crowded, but the young people that worked there and watched over the tot area let kids WAY above the height limit in there. The kids were wild and running around & no one was telling them to slow down or that they shouldn't even be in that area. Both of my kids got knocked over. Then, someone pooped in the tunnel and it got spread EVERYWHERE in the play area. They shut it down to clean it out for a few minutes, but we were done by that point. I was so grossed out! read more

We have a Jaks Warehouse near our house, but I was looking for a change of scenery and there's the mall and lots of food choices in the area and I had heard good things about Gizmos, so that was the winner for the big day. Pros: We went on a Wednesday morning and the place was empty. There was no wait to get inside and no wait or crowds in any of the attractions. The place was clean and well layed out. The decorations were fun and engaging. The manager was helpful and was doing a walk about the whole time we were there checking on costumers. The workers were very good at making sure that the rules were met in the the toddler area. It's nice to know that your baby isn't going to be run down by a teenager. They were very adamant about height requirements. Cons: A bit Pricey. The rides and attractions all were $6 and up. The play zone was $10 per kid and while it was cool and my kids liked it ok, $30 for three kids was a chunk of change for slides and some balls. Again fun for them, but in retrospect I would probably spent the $30 on arcade games. Must have socks! As far as I could tell, this is not on the website. And their socks are $5 each. Bring socks! Most of the attractions are for older kids. My 7 year old was barely tall enough but my 5 year old was too small for everything but the play one. Not necessarily a negative but it is geared for older kids. Over all, it was fun and my son enjoyed himself. My 8-year old had a great time on the Ratchets & Ropes with Zip Line. We went on a summer weekday evening, so there were no crowds thankfully. I am always happy to find sporty, fun things for kids to do. This fit the bill on that need. Also here is a Toddler Tinker Tot Toyland play area. They need to monitor the sizes going in there better though as the real little toddlers were getting run over by rowdy 8 year old + boys who were definitely taller than the maximum of 54 inches. The staff is friendly here. Check-in was painless and fairly quick. Having a Groupon, a manager had to be called to 'click' on my phone to redeem which causes a slight delay. It was super warm and humid inside. It was a really humid day and either they just had the A/C set too warm or it wasn't working. People were fanning themselves - and those were parents who weren't doing activities. My daughter who was doing the ropes and zipline was sweating. The workers looked super hot and uncomfortable. You have to wear closed-toe shoes if you want to do any activities....but my advice is to wear a tank top if it gets this hot inside! A few other things.....there were 2 police officers stationed inside and walking around which was a bit unsettling. I guess we should have felt save they were there, but I kept wondering what happened there in the past that required their presence here in the first place at a family attraction?! They need to clean their arcade area games. Yuck! Oily/dirty screens. Machines that didn't work. No employee walking around when there were redemption issues - I had multiple machines take coins off of my card and not work. My Groupon included $40 on play cards so I didn't make a deal about it. Next time, I will skip the arcade. Other patrons were well behaved and respectful for the most part. We will return soon. read more
