Came in on Sunday, 2/25/2024. It was noon and my family was there to attend a kid's bday party. We were at the very back, by the kids' bowling lanes. We had a great time! Cute small bowling lanes for the kids Private room for the bday party Pizza served Video games area (you pay cash; there is a change machine) We did not use this but I noted that they had: Lockers A bar area A restaurant area A 21+ yr old area w gaming The crowd is very blue collar. They were bowling leagues in action when we arrived. Did not bother us one bit. Did not see riff raff. They offer special pricing for kids' bday parties. Pizza was what you'd expect fr a bowling alley. This the best, but adequate. I highly recommend this place! read more

I really use to enjoy this establishment but I was recently profiled by a gentleman in there and the situation didn't sit well with me...you have your rules and who am I to question them...but its not what you do it's how you do it...you never know what a person is going through and how they are dealing with it...even as i was leaving gathering my things in the parking lot another gentleman approached me inquiring about my encounter with the previous gentleman also expressing his lack of agreement with the situation...all in all I think I'll pass...good luck with all of your future endeavors A disappointed FORMER customer read more

I always recommend coming here. Even during a particularly "busy" night we were able to quickly get a lane and begin bowling.

We decided to go bowling as a family and this place was great! The price was extremely reasonable ($25/hour for one lane)! I think shoe rentals were between $2-$4, depending on kid/adult. read more

Never even got to bowl, got kicked out in the middle of booking with a happy go lucky attitude employee when he went 180° on us and pulled out a "no marijuana smell allowed" sign on my group and I. We didn't even smoke on the property or anything like that but because we smelled a bit like weed we weren't allowed to be there. But they'll allow people who REEK of tobacco, booze, or just straight up rancid B.O. I don't even know how they could tell that we "smelled" anyways it stunk like straight up feet and ass in there; we would've been a nice change of scenery. Took my son on his birthday in the middle of the week on a Wednesday for some father and son time was told they didn't have any mask when we came. left and bought mask from the gas station next door and returned then was told they don't have any lanes available and the place is big there was literally only 5 lines being used so I asked why wouldn't you tell me that before I left to go get mask. The Caucasian man at the counter started getting loud and rude tell us that we both can leave etc. if it wasn't for my son being with me I would have caught that case just from how he was talking. When you work for a Level I Trauma Center in the operating room, it can get just a LITTLE intense (read: understatement). So what do stressed-out OR nurses do??? THEY BOWL!!! Actually, they drink first, then bowl....or drink AND bowl. But anyway... I phoned first to see how easy it would be to get a lane. Since they just finished league bowling, we were able to get two lanes pretty easily. The shoes and balls were in good condition. Scoring system is updated. It's a family friendly place - but also great for a Girls' Night Out (which is why I was there). As for pricing, I'm not sure what the standard is, so I can't comment. I think I only spent $14 on the bowling/shoe rental, but we had a big group. We didn't try the food since we came here after dinner. Overall, it's a great place to blow off some steam. I'll definitely be coming back! Hopefully, next time I'll be able to beat my high score of 87. Ha! read more

Hate the seating area. Have to spin the seat to sit. It's ridiculous so very uncomfortable. Also the floors need to be waxed. I threw my bowling ball and shoes sticking to floor. Awful!! Do not recommend unless you want to walk to line, stop and throw...ugh! read more

Forgive me for sounding like an old man going down memory lane right here but I used to come here every Sunday as a kid when my family were all on a league. They had the old narrow arcade section where Dance Dance revolution was popular and having fun was inexpensive. The locker room area was the best place to play tag at. Sadly it all got taken down and they put up a bigger arcade,much smaller locker room area, bathrooms and a lazer tag area that closed after a year because it was useless and expensive. That got destroyed and served as a extension for the game room. Now that i'm older the whole game room is all gone, no more tickets either. The downstairs part was supposed to be a place where they would hold pool tournaments when it was constructed but it has always remained useless and unused for those who are curious about the dark stairwell. I've been down there, there were at least 30 pool tables.Who knows whats down there now... Enough of me sounding old the place has got really really expensive to have fun or eat. I recommend going when they have those Cosmic Bowling nights those are the best! The leagues have always been well managed,staff is always nice but I come here every once in a while to have fun with friends and a walk down memory lane. This place is really nice and quiet during the week. I took a group of clients there earlier today for bowling and they enjoyed it. The rating can be attributed to the staff. The woman working the register (receipt said her name is Melissa but I know there are some places that allow till sharing so keep that in mind) had a bad attitude. It was our first time there so we were happy it wasn't busy. Her tone of voice was very tense, short, and crisp. One of my clients asked if they had ice and she told him no, but she responded as if she had an attitude. After the first game I went to pay and she told me a different total than what I anticipated (it was less). I said, "Oh let me see if they want to play a different game because based on the prices on the website I came up with another total." Without making eye contact she dryly responded, "The prices are there." We played another game and I asked my coworker to pay for the lanes because I didn't like "Melissa's" attitude but also said maybe it was just me. He returned with the receipt and confirmed that she wasn't friendly at all. He said she was yelling at someone on the phone and barely noticed him standing there. Overall, we enjoyed our experience, however it would have been tremendously better had the staff been friendly and welcoming. read more

Went in there on a Monday around 6:30 pm. When I walked to the counter there was a group of employees talking and it took them a while to even acknowledge me. Employee asked me how she could help me and as soon as I was about to ask for a lane she said there wasn't any lanes available until 9:30 because there was 3 leagues coming in. My advice, DON'T go in there Monday's around 6:30 or call ahead before you waste your time. read more

Came here to play 3 games with my buddy today old lady named solange had to help us every 3-4 frames to fix our lane. After the countless times she reset our lane we were done with the place and just wanted a refund for our last game which was 8$ not a large ask. She gave us 2$ in quarters and told us to leave. High do not recommend coming here, you can't even make it through a whole game without issues. read more

Now that I have checked this place out a few times I think I may start bowling more often. The staff is really friendly and the place is huge, so even when it's crowded it doesn't seem that bad. I'm not 100% sure of the pricing. I do know that 2 of us bowled 3 games and with shoes it was a little over $20. I thought that was reasonable. The bar prices are pretty cheap too. I saw they had specials from time to time. We sat in the bar area after we finished bowling and I liked it. It's a little worn out but still kind of a cute bar. Staff isn't great, especially the bald guy with the permanent headphones in. He is awful. Went there, rented shoes, bought a round of games for me and my son. I went to buy another round and they wouldn't take my card. They said there was a minimum, even though I already bought stuff and told them I may buy a second game if my son wanted. Bald guy offered no suggestions on what to do. I won't go back. I'll going to Palos Lanes to bowl. My son loves bowling and is only 3. They lost years of revenue from us. Rather large bowling alley & a crowd to match. Each time we've visited, this place has been packed & let me tell you, the later it gets, the busier it gets. So far, all the employees we've encountered have been friendly, the bathrooms are clean & the lanes aren't too bad. They also have a Pro shop if you need equipment, but the hours are different so make sure you phone ahead if you need to stop in. read more

I was here for a field trip for a field trip with 4 people for bowling, which is a pretty clean place. Which also has a pool table and bar as well, one through the bar area had nobody. And one person worked where you go to check in and get your bowling shoes, other then that never had to be around the staff. And they have a confession stand that for sure looked closed and who knows when they open, and some other bowlers around including a group of 3 older men. We bowled 2 games, in which I scored 68 in the first game, and 110 in the second game, the total was $6.00 where it was so we all stopped. And they have leagues if you are a more of a regular bowler which I am not, I couldn't even remember the last time I have been bowling. read more

Very bright, welcoming atmosphere. Clean--everything sparkles! The equipment is well-organized and the rental shoes seem to be pretty good quality. The price was good-- $2/game until noon on certain days, although they'll increase after summer, I was told. Shoe rentals are $4/pair, which is a little high, and why I own my own shoes. The lady at the desk was professional and answered all my questions, and the scoring system is really nice. When you ask for a print-out, you not only get a frame-by-frame tally, but also your average, how fast your ball rolled, etc. For a beginning bowler like me, practicing to improve, this place is really nice. I don't know how crazy it gets during the fall/winter, but we had a good experience. I will try this again during the busy season, and maybe add another star. Place is dated, needs some updating. Looks like they used to have an arcade section but now it is down to a measly 3 games. I recommend that they add more, it helps when you are hanging around waiting for your turn to get a lane. They have plenty of bars inside which is always a plus. Otherwise nothing special, it's a good place to go to if you're in the neighborhood and don't want to travel into the city. read more

Probably the best bowling alley around, with arcade games, a snack station, and a full lounge/bar area which includes several pool tables. Clean establishment, and I appreciate that the rental shoes are always new-looking and stink free! Staff is also very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. They have a full snack/meal bar that serves up some yummy food. Some menu items Can get a little pricey in my opinion, like $2.60 for a medium soft drink and $4.50 for a little glass of wine that they pour straight out of one of those little plastic Sutter Home bottles. But I'm also on the cheap side :P Bowling prices are probably comparable to other local alleys -- we paid $16.50 for one game and three pairs shoe rentals. Clean establishment that is well run with friendly staff. Prices are decent - $30 for two adults and one child including shoes and two games on a Sunday early evening. When you play with kids the bumpers have to either stay up the entire time, or be down the entire time - other alleys in the area have them automatically rise per player, which would have been nice. Bathrooms are outdated and the arcade area is too, having about 1/4-1/3 of the games out of order. Overall nice family time with average food. read more

We came here for a party for our flag football team. When we were here, we ordered bunch of drinks and some pizzas for the whole crew. The pizza wasn't anything special but the bartender was very friendly and helpful. However, I thought the drinks were a little pricey for a bowling alley. The bowling lanes themselves tended to get very crowded when we where here, which was on a Saturday night. This location closes at midnight but I heard of other locations that stay open later. Overall, a decent experience for bowling, and no riff raff like the Homewood location! read more

I am highly pissed off with this "family" owned bowling alley. First off, the prices are a rip off for a kid's birthday party/lanes. Then they had the nerve enough to book 2 parties on the same day but, didn't write the party down in the book. So now, my child has to be crushed because they want to extend her party for an additional 30 minutes but, we can't have the party room until 6:00pm. I was around with my high school friends when I went here. I had absolutely no idea those lane conditions were very oily, but I'm happy with that. my 2 best scores here are 157 & 147. The game room is pretty nice. I'd say it was a bitter shame they don't have laser tag, which I enjoy a lot, so I rest my case on that info. The pizza & pop here is very mouth-watering in my opinion. One of my friend's grandma paid for it all, which sounds like Lady Generous to me (I made the "Lady Generous" up just so you know how it feels.) You should come and bowl here for the fun, taming the very oily lanes, and beat whatever your score is. I give it 4 stars here on Yelp. But on Yahoo! Local, I only awarded Brunswick Arena Lanes 3 stars. read more

Customer service is everything to me. On two different days I experienced poor customer service... the first day it was at the bar and at the register to purchase our lanes... TWO DIFFERENT DAYS in a weekend! The second day was to see if my experience would be better... but unfortunately it wasn't... we specifically asked for 3 games total and she's gives us 1.5 games each. I'm addition, not even a friendly greeting from anyone who we encountered that worked here. That says a lot about the culture of this particular business. We just recently visited this place. I haven't bowled in a couple of years. We really enjoyed it. The customer service was great. They even gave us a military discount on the final price. Real dope!
