Great price, I approved it no problem. Brought my car in today and when it was done, I was notified that the total was $415. I called to ask why the difference between the estimate and the total and was told that the estimate was for one tire. I asked why they would send an estimate that isn't for the entire job and the owner basically started to yell at me over the phone saying the car needed two tires and would I like him to put one of the old ones back on, otherwise basically to go F myself. All I wanted was for him to say "sorry for the miscommunication on the estimate" and we'd be good. But I couldn't even get a word in as he's talking about "this is how I've done this for 40 years" and other boomer nonsense. To send an estimate that doesn't have the total for a job is so completely outrageous and deceptive that I will never be going to this place again. Congrats to them on getting the extra $230 and losing a lifetime, previously loyal customer. Edit to respond to owner: Happy to explain in a little simpler terms since you don't seem to get this. I came and was told I needed to replace two tires. I said ok, please send me an estimate for replacing the two tires. You send me an estimate. When I see that estimate, I expect the line marked "Total" to be the actual total that I am going to pay. Quite frankly I don't care about the itemization above it, all I care about is the total. I'm quite certain the tool you use to send invoices has the capability of changing the quantity from "1" to "2" so that the total shown is accurate for the work that will actually be done. That is the deceptive practice that I am commenting on. Your total was not the total. it was less than half the total. Additionally, since you seem inclined to insult my intelligence (I work in finance by the way and basically do math for a living)...$185x2 = $370. Your total was significantly above that. Happy to take the $45 refund whenever you're ready. Congrats on doubling down here for all to see the stubbornness they'll face when paying your business a visit.

I wanted to continue supporting a local business, but unfortunately my most recent experience was very disappointing. I brought my car in for repairs and paid approximately $650. When I picked it up, I immediately noticed that my instrument cluster was no longer working. My speedometer, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, and odometer display had all stopped working. Because I had a doctor's appointment, I had to leave with the vehicle and couldn't immediately return. When I brought the car back and explained that everything on the instrument cluster had been working before I brought it to the shop, I felt like my concerns were dismissed. Instead of looking into the issue, I was told that I was just trying to get something for free. That was frustrating and disrespectful, especially considering I had just paid hundreds of dollars for the repairs. I also discovered that my transmission was leaking after I got the car back. It was not leaking before I took it to the shop. I can even document this with photos of my driveway, which had no transmission fluid spots before the repair. Now it does. This wasn't my first issue. Years ago, I paid around $500 to have gasket leaks repaired on my 1986 Chevrolet Silverado. The leaks were never resolved, and I was told I would receive a refund. I returned multiple times to collect it, but it never happened. Even after that experience, I chose to give the shop another chance because I wanted to support the business. I understand that running an auto repair shop is difficult and that some customers may not always be honest. However, every customer should be judged based on their own actions. I have always tried to be respectful and pay for the work performed. Being accused of trying to get free labor after paying for repairs was disappointing. My advice is to thoroughly inspect your vehicle before leaving the shop. Check that everything works, including your gauges, dashboard, and for any fluid leaks, before driving away. My experience left me feeling that my business was not appreciated, and unfortunately I cannot recommend this shop based on what happened to me.
