Cool spot to stop after our drive to Glacier National Park and Whitefish. Great little area with ample parking and a restaurant and market sandwiching the tasting room. Be warned, my husband and I were expecting regular wine, they do not have that. It is all sweet wine! It's a rainy day here, stopped into Glacier sun for a wine tasting with 2 friends. I chose the 4 wine tasting. The 2 whites and Malbec and Syrah. I enjoyed the reds very much. The Malbec is peppery and the Syrah is full body. (I personally didn't feel Jesus needed to intervene on the wine as a previously review stated.) I found it enjoyable and paired great with a charcuterie board. My two friends both got cider flights. They both felt that Jesus intervention WOULD have been beneficial on the cider. I found the ciders unique and intriguing. Different pallets I suppose. Anywho if you find yourself in glacier with torrential downpour and flooding find your way to the Glacier sun... it is a good time. read more

The wine is delicious and inexpensive with lots of unique flavors. If you love sweet wine try Cherry Vanilla or Bourbon Nectar. The lady that gave us tastings was informative and we had great conversation, she even gave us corks for our cork collection. A must visit if you are near Whitefish/Kalispell. read more

This is the absolute most disastrous attempt by a living being to bastardize wine. Jesus himself would turn this stuff back into water. The merlot tasted like fingernail polish remover, the blends seemed to have been aged in fuel barrels. We've tasted wines al over the country and this stuff is NOT wine!!! To throw up would have beeN redundant. This place made us appreciate what craftsman and artists real wine makers are. Save your time and money. You wanna taste good wine? Go next door to the brewery and order a craft beer instead. You'll thank me later. read more

We were very excited to find some lighter wines here. We enjoyed a delicious nectarine wine, as well as a port style dessert wine. We did a tasting and thoroughly enjoyed all of the wines. The atmosphere is nice and the winery is connected to Sacred Waters Brewing, which made my husband very happy! The winery offers giant jenga, giant checkers, and some other games. It's a fun, laid back atmosphere. The only small drawback was that the staff could have been more friendly and knowledgeable. In fact, they seemed aloof and almost like they didn't want to be there. (Two females. I wish I had gotten their names.) Other than that, it was a great time...and we left with 6 bottles of wine! read more

This place is a MUST if you like sweet/fruity wines. Not only is it 5min from the airport but it's connected to a farms market, bakery & small shop. You can pick up a sammich & pie on your way to taste some good ole wine. The guy behind the counter, Bill is super friendly & knows his wine. The tasting was free & we ended up buying the sangria mixtures. This day he mixed the red sangria with some fruit & the Barrel Harvest Apple Wine with fruit as well, both are glass worthy. If I could have bought a bottle, I would have. So the next time you're at the Kalispell Airport, on your way to Glacier National Park, stop on by. Plus the mountainous view from the patio is awesome. read more

Glacier Sun Winery in Kalispell is one pretty amazing little winery! Bill and Dave are the best guys ever I give them alone 5 stars!They are friendly and very knowledgeable on all kinds of things and the wines of course. They are very welcoming and hospitable. You have got to ask for Bills Sangria with a twist lol, he does his little mojo with their sangaria that makes it one pretty fantastic drink, that you can't stop drinking. Can't even tell you how many we had! I also bought a Bottle of Tangerine wine which is good. The peach is so smooth you will drink a bottle and not even realize you did! Beware of the Apricot it is 22% and will put hairs on your chest! a tip of the tongue is all you need! Lol They have live music on designated Saturday's they have food, a farmers market style store and a country style store. They have fresh baked whole pies and by the slice pies. Lots of little goodies in the store plus samples. They also on cold days have the coolest little fire pit. Everyone is so nice. Best part it's only like 2 miles away from airport. Stop for a drink or 2 before you hit the highway. read more

The prices are phenomenal, definitely can't find anything remotely close to this in Florida!!! The wines were good but their hard ciders truly stole the slow! I think I tried about half of them and if they were able to ship to FL I would have bought several! Check them out if you're local and if you're from out of town, like me, make a stop to or from the airport!!! read more

While on vacation we wine lovers popped in for some Montana wine. All of the reds were suffering from the distinct smell of nail-polish remover which is likely excess volatile acidity (VA). When detectable, VA is generally considered a winemaking flaw that can arise during fermentation or from a post-fermentation bacterial infection. The lighter fruity wines were tolerable so I decided to purchase a bottle to offset the tasting fees, but was surprised that unlike most wineries, wasn't incorporated into a wine purchase. We did purchase some nice produce and the staff were very friendly. If you want good wine though, you would be better off stopping in the grocery store. read more

He was receptive to customer reviews, and suggestions! I might have even written a bottle label while I was tasting. There local fruit wines were very tasty but too sweet for my liking. I did however enjoy the apple wine sangria during sippin Saturday! Their Reds were good too. I absolutely loved the live music and outdoor seating! Also the local market was amazing! Enjoyed one of the best pears of my life from here, also had an apple almost the size of my head lol! I truly enjoyed the bottle of wine we purchased. We were recommended this place through Harvest Hosts. I admit all the construction and the noisy highway was a put off but I had a white noise machine and didn't care. The hosts were nice the band was great and the evening was lovely. We are traveling across country and met another lovely couple staying the night. Well worth everything!! read more

I hate to do this, I usually don't give low ratings for places, but this is the worst winery we have been to. We have been on the road, traveling across the US for 7 months, and have been to a lot of different wineries; many not great, but this is the first place that I was not even able to finish my tasting. The tasting is $5 for 4 wines, many with sweet options that I typically enjoy. I couldn't finish a single one and neither could many of the people in our party. We basically tried every option and not a single one was good. The staff was very courteous, but that was about all I can say for this place. read more

We are visiting here and everywhere we go we usually stop at a few wineries for tastings.... Also go on the regular back home... so I've been to many! We tried 5 wines, one from each type (typical, desert wine, fruit wine) and they were all so bad Imo. Anyway, I really hate to leave a bad review, I usually review to help companies draw business and not the opposite but there was really nothing remotely close to being "ok" and left a couple without finishing them which is completely unlike me (I've never ever done that). What a fun time! Made a planned trip to the winery, the fruity wines were delicious, the Reds need to sit a while, but all in all a great experience. The winemaker, Bill was super nice, very personable and gave me some great tips of things to do in the area. But the best part of the whole thing, they were having a wine and paint night that was partnered with the Stumptown Art Studio in Whitefish, MT, at the winery when I went and they invited me to join, so not only did I get to try some fun wines, I got to meet some great people, paint a fun picture and have a fabulous, unexpected evening in a fun city! read more

If you find Doug here, pull up a chair and enjoy some great wine! My wife and I were at the attached produce shop (excellent as well) and in a bit of a hurry, but then we met Doug, and he took good care of us and we ended up staying somewhere between 30minutes-1hour. We are frugal, rarely spending more than $5 for a bottle of wine, and we walked out with a much more expensive bottle (for us) and a gift bottle because their wines are delicious, carefully crafted, and Doug gives an excellent presentation/tasting. He loves what he does, and it shows in their wine, which is really priced much lower than many of the small wineries we've visited (and purchased nothing from). Doug is a champ, the wine is great, and the prices are good- Trifecta! read more
