A friend stopped by here a week before and we had been wanting to get away from the commercialization of what is Butler's, so a trek is what we took to Glade Link.
There isn't a large farm or storefront to greet you, just turn off the main road and drive the road to park and start pickin'.
I love that the people are friendly, that they provided buckets (although you can bring your own), and they don't try to price-gauge you for every little thing. We picked some strawberries and sugar snap peas, both smaller than what you would be used to at the grocery stores, but packed with so much delicious flavor! The girls had an absolute blast going through the fields, even trying to squeeze in a taste (we had to hawk-eye watch them). I loved feeling like we were supporting a local business, but also what farms should be and what I grew up with (We didn't have to make a reservation, we didn't have to pay for each person, we just paid for what we picked)
It's not a huge operation, but it did the job for us. Thank you Glade Link, we'll be back!
