This market is small though, and there wasn't a ton of produce to choose from. I did score some fresh zucchini for dinner tonight... and the lady helping me was super nice. I also got some iced coffee- the lady manning that stand was telling a gentleman all about her business troubles and didn't have a ton of time for me, though she did call out a few hints in between paragraphs with her friend "There's a trash can right behind you"... "and I've already liquidated the business", etc... Finally, I stopped by a bakery stand with several nice ladies that made a fuss about how cute my daughter was. I ended up buying a blueberry muffin that was pretty good- a little dense but great flavor with fresh berries and not too sweet... and two cookies that unfortunately were undercooked... they looked good, but the insides were raw... So overall, lots of nice people, we're glad we checked this place out, and we'll probably give it another try in a few weeks when there may be more produce available.

There isn't a large farm or storefront to greet you, just turn off the main road and drive the road to park and start pickin'. I love that the people are friendly, that they provided buckets (although you can bring your own), and they don't try to price-gauge you for every little thing. We picked some strawberries and sugar snap peas, both smaller than what you would be used to at the grocery stores, but packed with so much delicious flavor! The girls had an absolute blast going through the fields, even trying to squeeze in a taste (we had to hawk-eye watch them). I loved feeling like we were supporting a local business, but also what farms should be and what I grew up with (We didn't have to make a reservation, we didn't have to pay for each person, we just paid for what we picked) It's not a huge operation, but it did the job for us. Thank you Glade Link, we'll be back! *Call them first before going (their voicemail has all the details) *Porta potty

Their bouquets of fresh flowers were what attracted us and as the photos show, the quality is great, the variety delightful. I easily made two full vases from the $20 bouquet. I will make a beeline for their booth at future farmers markets. :-) very pleasant and knowledgeable staff and happy to take credit cards.

Airy and surrounding towns, fresh, local food & hand made products"- Dropped by here this afternoon, a big plus is Sunday hours in early March. Beautiful farmland- idyllic setting in farm outbuildings. We could see some lambs in an adjacent barn and it appeared there were numerous farm animals about, my thought ran to upcoming spring and summer and how much the children would enjoy this place. The store is small and a bit cramped, but we were hit with wonderful aromas on entering- homemade herbal soaps, freshly baked cookies, pies, cobblers and pasta. A refrigerator held a variety of local cheeses, fresh eggs, farm fresh milk and cream, and a freezer held the good stuff- bacon, farm-raised beef, hot dogs, sausages, and jerky. Oh how I love jerky. Children in the market were negotiating for different flavors of frozen custard that looked great. The lovely lady at the counter explained that the owner sends farm-raised meats to the butcher, and that a family pack type order could be placed. The jerky must have been processed by a place in PA per the label- it was fabulous. Thin and dry and perfectly seasoned, I at least got it home and defrosted before I devoured it. I also picked up some summmer sausage- have not tried it yet, but the smell is tantalizing and I'm looking forward to slicing some with some of the horseradish cheddar, some crackers and something to drizzle the honey over- yes, local honey. Wow. I may just eat it out of the jar, it is that good. Not much local produce- there is none yet, but I am looking forward to stopping back by later in the season, with the children- and the camera!.

This place is going to become a family favorite for years to come!…read more I took the kids last weekend to see the lamb that were only a week old! There were chickens running around too! It was our first time at England Acres and it is absolutely beautiful farmland! We met Judy and Hannah. Hannah took us over to the barn and picked up one of the lamb and let my daughter hold him. My daughter was so excited! We headed back inside and picked up eggs, bacon, lamb, steaks, and chicken. Nothing beats grass farm fresh food that comes from a place that is right down the street and where the animals have been very well taken care of. Don't get me wrong, it's pricey, but it's worth every penny to support a local farm, for the flavor of the food, and for your health!
