I just came here this past weekend since my daughter was attending a friend's Princess Birthday Party being held here. This boutique is half girl's birthday party event space and the other half retail upscale women's clothing. I didn't pay too much attention to the retail clothing side so my review is mostly on the event. The space is decorated lavishly and totally belonged out perfect for any little girl who loves princesses, pink, glitter, or bling. Needless to say my daughter was in heaven. Now I have tried me very best to get her interested in anything other than pink princesses, but she is a girl who knows what she wants. They offer a rack of nice play dresses for the girls to choose from. We had a group of 8 and they all found a dress they liked in their size no problem. We started with a craft - decorating a foam door tag with markers and stickers. Then each girl got their nails painted and hair done. We had a princess dance party then they had a fun princess parade on the stage (more of a one step platform). All the girls loved every minute. My friend brought in her own cake and the staff sang, cut and served the cake. At the end each girl got to make their own lip gloss. The party was 1.5 hours of pure joy for my girl. We left with some swag too. A fluffy princess tiara, a magic wand, our craft, lip gloss, and enough glitter to fill my purse. The young women on staff who helped with the party were so nice and bubbly with the young girls. They were professional and nice. Overall it was a fun time and would suggest this place to any girly girl needing a birthday party. read more

Had a birthday party here for a group of 6 year olds. For the experience and everything provided to the kids the price was very reasonable. The staff gave the girls an experience they won't forget anytime soon. read more

I've been following Glam and Glitz Boutique on Instagram and noticed they seemed to have updated the store to be a more adult focused boutique. I've been loving the videos of new items and had to see them in person. I stopped in today for some retail therapy. This boutique has so many gorgeous unique designer inspired pieces. I founds some great unique finds. The owner Karen is so kind and helpful. Shopping small is so important. I've add this boutique to the top of my list. read more

When I saw the sign go up for "Glam & Glitz," I got a little worried Honey Boo Boo was opening up shop in town. Have no fear, there's just another small boutique in town. Glam & Glitz has been open for a few months now, and I first noticed them when I was getting my hair done next door at NeoBella. Glam & Glitz's hours are limited, they close early (4:00-6:00 p.m. depending on the day), and they are open for "appointments only" on Sundays. The store is divided into two areas: one is a boutique with t-shirts, blouses, dresses, and accessories. The second area is a "party area" with hot pink salon chairs and a stage. Apparently, they have some rockin' loud parties with karaoke and who knows what else - I've heard lots of screaming little girls while I'm getting my hair done. I don't know how the party thing relates to the clothing, considering the clothing is geared toward 20 and 30somethings. Most of the clothing is reasonably priced. I purchased a sheer, lightweight blouse for $42. It's a little more than I would normally spend on a trendy summer item, but it was really unique and I had some extra money to burn. My mom had her eye on a pair of earrings, but they weren't worth the $68 price tag. The accessories are definitely better quality than Charming Charlie, but they are still very overpriced. I think this boutique is geared toward Naperville's stay at home mom's who have lots of money to spend on their little princesses' parties and clothes for themselves. During my visit, the shop girl's friend stopped in and bragged about her daughter's cheer competition and (yawn) you know, all of those fascinating Naperville mom things. The clothes are cute and worth a look if you're in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here. Most of the items on the rack were size XS-M, and I feel like if you're going to stock XS you can at least stock L if not XL. I love the top I purchased, but I probably won't be back unless something catches my eye from the window. read more

We had our 4 year olds bday here and it was awesome. The girls that manage the events are so helpful and my daughter just had an amazing party. We brought cupcakes and the girls were able to dress up and get their nails painted. I highly recommend this place. read more

My daughter had her 7th bday party here and her friends totally had a blast. First of all to begin with the place is super cute and lives to up to the name of being glamorous, she had a 2 hr princess party, they get to pick their princess costumes, make bracelets, get their princess hairstyle which was so super cute, get their nails done, they even walk the ramp later Music, dance, games they did a ton of stuff They get to take home the bracelets, tiaras and and surely a great party princesscy experience. Lastly can't forget to mention the glam squad they were incredible they took care of almost everything all I did was walk in with my camera and cake and the party stuff they did the rest They even loaded my car with all the gifts after the party I mean u get treated like royalty can u beat that? I am in all praises for this venue, my daughter on the way bck said I want my party here again next yr too I would highly recommend this place read more

Came here for my Nieces birthday party and I wasn't that impressed. They only had a small number of dresses for the girls to choose from, and half not even being princess dresses but fairies. They weren't even the appropriate sizes for the kids. Most of them ended up being too small. Which puzzled me because I saw they had a whole closet full of dresses. Things were disorganized. The ladies that were running the show didn't really tell the girls where to go or sit or what would be next clearly and these are 2-5 year olds that need a lot of instruction and help with certain activities. What really made me mad was the girl that did my 2 year olds hair. Everyone else got a nice up-do and my girl got something that resembled a side braid if you had 2 left hands. If she didn't know how to do hair she should have left it for someone else. Luckily my girl is 2 and I didn't make a big deal of it but an older girl would have felt treated differently. The same employee dumped a handful of glitter into my girls hair. In regards to glitter, Don't get it unless you want to have it embedded into the scalp for weeks. And now my poor 2 year old has had to have Olive oil put into her scalp for the rest of week to remove the glitter that was carelessly dumped on her head by the handful. I thought that was really rude! She should be mindful of how she handled the glitter. All in all there were a lot of employees but really just a lot of standing around and not helping the little kids enough. And not everyone looked like a princess, like my sister had requested. There were really bad looking fairy dresses that looked more like peasant costumes. I heard there was a better glitz glamour place in Schaumburg to go to. read more
